Shayla Begs Anthony & D’Nisha For Forgiveness
SHAYLA BEGS ANTHONY AND D’NISHA FOR FORGIVENESS

SCENE 1 — INT. ANTHONY & D’NISHA’S HOUSE — EVENING

The house is quiet.

Anthony sits on the couch while D’Nisha stands near the window, thinking about everything that has happened between them and Shayla.

D’Nisha looks calm, but her expression makes it clear that she has not forgotten the past.

A knock comes from the front door.

Anthony looks toward the entrance.

ANTHONY

Who could that be?

D’Nisha slowly turns around.

D’NISHA

I don’t know.

Anthony gets up and walks toward the door.

He opens it.

Shayla is standing outside. Her eyes are filled with regret.

Anthony immediately becomes serious.

D’Nisha walks closer but remains silent.

Shayla takes a deep breath.

SHAYLA

Anthony… D’Nisha… I came here because I need to apologize.

Anthony says nothing.

Shayla looks at D’Nisha.

SHAYLA

I know I’ve caused problems between you two. I know I’ve said things I shouldn’t have said. And I know I’ve asked Anthony for things that put pressure on both of you.

D’Nisha folds her arms.

D’NISHA

So why are you here now?

Shayla looks down.

SHAYLA

Because I want your forgiveness.

SCENE 2 — INT. ANTHONY & D’NISHA’S HOUSE — CONTINUOUS

The room becomes tense.

Shayla steps inside slowly.

Anthony closes the door.

D’Nisha watches Shayla carefully.

SHAYLA

I’m not here to argue. I’m not here to take anything from you. I just want to say that I’m sorry.

Anthony looks at D’Nisha. He can see that she is uncomfortable.

Shayla turns toward Anthony.

SHAYLA

Anthony, please forgive me. I’ve made mistakes. I let my emotions control me, and I kept coming back into your life.

Anthony remains quiet.

D’Nisha finally speaks.

D’NISHA

Anthony, don’t answer her yet.

Shayla looks surprised.

SHAYLA

D’Nisha, I’m genuinely sorry.

D’NISHA

Maybe you are. But forgiveness isn’t something I’m willing to give you right now.

Shayla’s face falls.

SHAYLA

Why?

D’Nisha takes a breath.

D’NISHA

Because I’ve seen this happen before. You apologize. Anthony forgives you. Then everything starts all over again.

SCENE 3 — INT. ANTHONY & D’NISHA’S HOUSE — MOMENTS LATER

Anthony sits back down.

Shayla remains standing.

D’Nisha looks directly at Anthony.

Her voice is calm but firm.

D’NISHA

You know what I’m afraid of. If you forgive Shayla today, tomorrow she could start calling you again.

D’NISHA

Then she’ll start asking you for money. Then she’ll find another reason to come back into your life.

Anthony listens carefully.

D’NISHA

And I don’t want our relationship to go through that again.

Shayla looks hurt.

SHAYLA

I wouldn’t do that.

D’Nisha turns toward her.

D’NISHA

That’s what you always say.

Shayla becomes silent.

Anthony looks between them. He remembers everything that happened before.

He remembers the arguments. He remembers the pressure. He remembers the promises he made to D’Nisha.

D’Nisha steps closer to him.

D’NISHA

Anthony, I’m going to be completely honest with you. If you forgive Shayla and allow this situation to start again, I will leave this house and go away.

Anthony’s expression changes.

ANTHONY

D’Nisha…

D’NISHA

I’m serious. I won’t stay somewhere where I feel like I’m constantly fighting for peace.

Anthony reaches for her hand.

ANTHONY

You don’t have to worry. I remember what I promised you.

SCENE 4 — INT. ANTHONY & D’NISHA’S HOUSE — CONTINUOUS

Shayla watches them. She realizes Anthony has made his decision.

She slowly approaches him.

SHAYLA

Anthony, after everything we’ve been through, you can’t forgive me even once?

Anthony looks at her with a serious expression.

ANTHONY

Shayla, forgiveness isn’t something I can give just because you ask for it. You have to understand the consequences of what happened.

Shayla nods slowly.

SHAYLA

So you’re choosing D’Nisha?

Anthony looks at D’Nisha.

Then he looks back at Shayla.

ANTHONY

I’m choosing peace. I’m choosing the life I’ve built. And I’m keeping the promise I made to D’Nisha.

Shayla’s eyes begin to fill with tears.

SHAYLA

I understand.

Anthony remains firm.

ANTHONY

I’m not going to argue with you. But I’m also not going to forgive you just to make this moment easier.

Shayla looks down.

SCENE 5 — EXT. ANTHONY & D’NISHA’S HOUSE — NIGHT

Shayla walks out of the house.

The door closes behind her.

She stands on the porch for a moment.

Through the window, she sees Anthony and D’Nisha talking quietly together.

They are finally alone.

No arguments. No pressure. No interference.

Shayla watches them from outside.

Her expression changes from sadness to regret.

SHAYLA

I really messed everything up.

She wipes her eyes.

SHAYLA

I thought I could keep coming back whenever I wanted. I thought Anthony would always forgive me. But now he’s moved on.

Shayla slowly walks away.

SCENE 6 — INT. ANTHONY & D’NISHA’S HOUSE — LATER THAT NIGHT

Anthony sits beside D’Nisha on the couch.

The tension has finally disappeared.

D’Nisha looks at him.

D’NISHA

Are you sure about what you decided?

Anthony nods.

ANTHONY

Yes. I don’t want to keep repeating the same mistakes.

D’Nisha smiles slightly.

D’NISHA

I wasn’t trying to control you. I just wanted you to understand why I couldn’t accept Shayla back into our lives.

Anthony takes a breath.

ANTHONY

I understand now. I’ve watched everything that happened. And I know what happens when boundaries aren’t respected.

D’Nisha looks relieved.

D’NISHA

Then let’s leave the past where it belongs.

ANTHONY

That’s exactly what I want.

They sit together quietly.

SCENE 7 — EXT. SHAYLA’S HOUSE — NIGHT

Shayla arrives home alone.

She enters slowly. The house feels unusually quiet.

She sits down and thinks about the conversation.

Anthony’s words continue to echo in her mind.

She realizes that her actions pushed him away.

She remembers every time she demanded something.

Every argument.

Every time she refused to respect the boundaries between Anthony and D’Nisha.

Shayla looks at her phone.

She considers calling Anthony.

Her thumb hovers over his name.

Then she stops.

She puts the phone down.

SHAYLA

No. I need to leave them alone.

For the first time, Shayla understands that saying sorry does not automatically erase the damage caused by her actions.

SCENE 8 — INT. ANTHONY & D’NISHA’S HOUSE — NEXT MORNING

Morning sunlight fills the room.

Anthony prepares breakfast.

D’Nisha walks into the kitchen.

She smiles when she sees him.

D’NISHA

You’re actually cooking?

Anthony laughs.

ANTHONY

I’m trying something new.

D’Nisha smiles.

D’NISHA

I like this version of you.

Anthony looks at her.

ANTHONY

Maybe I finally realized what matters.

D’Nisha nods.

They continue preparing breakfast together.

For the first time in a long time, their home feels peaceful.

SCENE 9 — EXT. STREET — MORNING

Shayla drives past Anthony and D’Nisha’s house.

She slows down.

She looks toward the house.

Through the window, she sees Anthony and D’Nisha together.

They are laughing.

Shayla watches for a moment.

Then she keeps driving.

Her expression is filled with regret, but she does not turn around.

She finally understands that their happiness does not require her involvement.

SCENE 10 — INT. ANTHONY & D’NISHA’S HOUSE — MORNING

Anthony and D’Nisha sit together.

D’Nisha looks peaceful.

Anthony looks determined.

ANTHONY

Whatever happens next, I’m not going to let the past destroy what we have.

D’Nisha smiles.

D’NISHA

That’s all I wanted to hear.

Anthony takes a breath.

ANTHONY

From now on, we’re moving forward.

D’Nisha nods.

D’NISHA

Together.

They look at each other.

Outside, the day continues.

Inside, Anthony and D’Nisha remain together on their own terms.

And somewhere else, Shayla is left with one painful realization:

Sometimes an apology can open the door to forgiveness—but forgiveness is still a choice.

And Anthony has chosen to protect the peace he built with D’Nisha.
