Purnell arrives at Larry’s house with something important on his mind. He has made a major decision about his future, and he wants Larry to hear it directly from him. As he enters the living room, Larry immediately notices that Purnell looks unusually serious.

Purnell:
“Larry, I need to talk to you about something important. I have made a decision, and I hope you will understand.”

Larry:
“Alright, Purnell. What’s going on? You look like you have something serious to tell me.”

Purnell takes a deep breath and finally reveals his decision.

Purnell:
“I want to marry Jade. I love her, and I want to spend the rest of my life with her.”

Larry immediately becomes shocked. He looks at Purnell as if he cannot believe what he has just heard.

Larry:
“Wait! Did you just say you want to marry Jade? Are you serious right now?”

Purnell:
“Yes, Larry. I know you might not agree with me, but I am serious. I have feelings for Jade, and I want her to become my wife.”

Larry shakes his head, clearly disappointed by Purnell’s announcement. He never expected him to make such a decision.

Larry:
“Purnell, you need to think carefully. Jade is not the kind of woman you should be marrying. You don’t understand what you’re getting yourself into.”

Purnell:
“Why do you keep judging her? You don’t even give her a chance. Everyone makes mistakes, Larry. That doesn’t mean she cannot change.”

Larry:
“This is not just about making mistakes. Look at her behavior. She cannot even live peacefully in a household. How do you expect her to become a good wife when she constantly creates problems?”

Purnell becomes frustrated because he feels Larry is refusing to understand his feelings. He has already made up his mind and does not want anyone interfering in his relationship.

Purnell:
“You may not like Jade, but that doesn’t mean I have to feel the same way. I know what I want, and I want to be with her.”

Larry:
“I’m trying to protect you from making a decision that you might regret for the rest of your life.”

Purnell:
“I appreciate your concern, but I don’t need you to choose my wife for me.”

Their conversation becomes increasingly tense. Larry realizes that Purnell is not taking his warnings seriously.

“So you’re telling me that nothing I say will change your mind?”

Purnell:
“Exactly. I am going to marry Jade, whether you approve of it or not.”

Larry turns away angrily. He feels that Purnell is making a terrible mistake, but Purnell refuses to listen.

Larry:
“You’re going to regret this decision one day.”

Purnell:
“Maybe you think it’s a mistake, but to me, it’s love. I won’t walk away from Jade just because you don’t want us together.”

“Larry is behind this, isn’t he? He doesn’t want me to marry Purnell!”

Jade feels helpless and frightened. She knows that Purnell will become worried when he discovers that she has suddenly disappeared.

She keeps thinking about Purnell and wonders how he will react when he finds out what Larry has done. She desperately wishes she could speak to him one last time.

“Have you seen Jade? I’ve been trying to reach her, but nobody seems to know where she is.”

Finally, Purnell receives shocking information. He discovers that Jade has been sent back to Miami.

Purnell:
“What? Miami? Who sent her there? Why would she leave without telling me?”

He becomes suspicious and immediately remembers his conversation with Larry. He recalls how angry Larry became when he announced his intention to marry Jade.

Purnell:
“Wait a minute. Larry must know something about this. He was the only person who strongly opposed our marriage.”

Purnell’s concern quickly turns into anger. He decides that he needs to confront Larry and discover the truth.

Purnell returns to Larry’s house, determined to get answers. As soon as Larry sees him, he notices the anger on his face.

Larry:
“Purnell? What’s going on? Why are you so angry?”

Purnell walks straight toward him, refusing to waste any time.

“Don’t pretend you don’t know what’s happening! Where is Jade?”

“Why are you asking me? What happened?”

Purnell:
“Jade has disappeared, and I just found out that she was sent back to Miami. I know you had something to do with this!”

Larry remains silent for a moment. Purnell becomes even more convinced that Larry is hiding something.

Purnell:
“Tell me the truth, Larry! Did you kidnap Jade just because you don’t want me to marry her?”

Larry finally responds without showing any regret.

Larry:
“I did what I had to do. I warned you that marrying Jade was a terrible decision, but you refused to listen.”

Purnell looks at Larry in complete disbelief. He never expected Larry to go this far.

Purnell:
“So you actually took her away from me? Who gave you the right to make that decision?”

Larry:
“I was trying to stop you from ruining your life!”

Purnell:
“You didn’t protect me, Larry. You betrayed me! Jade is the woman I love, and you had absolutely no right to separate us.”

The atmosphere becomes extremely tense. Larry realizes that Purnell is not going to forgive him easily. However, he still believes that he made the right decision.

Larry:
“One day, you’ll understand why I did this. I’m not going to let you destroy your future because of a relationship.”

Purnell:
“You don’t get to decide my future! I am old enough to make my own decisions. Jade deserves to be with me, and I’m not giving up on her.”

Larry looks away, refusing to accept Purnell’s argument. But Purnell has already made up his mind. He is determined to find Jade and bring her back.

“I’m going to Miami. And I promise you, this isn’t over!”

Purnell turns around and walks out of Larry’s house. Larry watches him leave, realizing that his decision may have created an even bigger problem.
