Shayla thought she still had a chance to change Anthony’s mind. She had no idea that while she was asking for forgiveness, Anthony was preparing to make the biggest decision of his life.
The Apology That Came Too Late
Shayla stood outside Anthony’s house, staring at the ground. For once, there was no anger in her voice and no demand on her lips. She looked genuinely ashamed.
When Anthony opened the door, Shayla took a nervous breath.
“Anthony, I know I was wrong. I made demands I had no right to make, and I’m truly sorry.”
Anthony remained quiet.
“Please forgive me,” Shayla continued. “I don’t want us to end like this.”
Anthony finally looked at her.
“How many times have I forgiven you, Shayla?”
Shayla couldn’t answer.
“Five times? Ten times? I stopped counting. Every time you promised it would be different. And every time, I ended up regretting giving you another chance.”
Tears slowly rolled down Shayla’s face.
“This time I’m serious.”
“And that’s exactly what you said every other time.”
Shayla stepped closer.
“So you’re really not going to forgive me?”
“No, Shayla. Not this time.”
Those four words shattered Shayla’s confidence. But she still didn’t know the real reason Anthony had finally stopped listening.
D’Nisha Gives Anthony A Choice
Later that evening, Anthony met D’Nisha. He told her everything that had happened.
D’Nisha listened without interrupting. Then she looked directly into his eyes.
“Anthony, you keep forgiving people because you don’t want to hurt them. But what about the person who’s been hurting because of all this?”
Anthony became quiet.
“Who?”
“You.”
That answer hit him harder than he expected.
“You’ve spent so much time trying to keep everybody happy that you’ve forgotten to choose your own happiness.”
Anthony looked down.
“So what should I do?”
D’Nisha smiled.
“Choose the person you can see your future with.”
Anthony looked at her for several seconds.
“And if I already know who that person is?”
D’Nisha’s smile became even bigger.
“Then stop being afraid of making the decision.”
Then D’Nisha said something that Anthony would remember for the rest of his life.
“Maybe it’s time you stop talking about the future… and actually build it.”
Anthony Suddenly Disappears
The next morning, Anthony became unusually quiet. He started making phone calls. He visited a garden. He spoke with decorators. He selected flowers and lights.
D’Nisha had no idea what he was planning.
Even Anthony’s closest friends didn’t know the full story.
But there was one question nobody could answer: Why was Anthony preparing something this big?
Meanwhile, Shayla kept calling Anthony.
He didn’t answer.
She sent messages.
Nothing.
Then Shayla heard a rumor that Anthony was preparing a special evening for D’Nisha.

Then she saw D’Nisha walking into the garden.
Anthony stepped toward her.
“D’Nisha, there’s something I’ve wanted to tell you for a long time.”
D’Nisha looked confused.
“You taught me that real love isn’t about constantly fighting to keep someone. It’s about finding someone who makes you want to become better.”
D’Nisha’s eyes filled with tears.
Anthony reached into his pocket.
Shayla watched from a distance.
Then Anthony slowly dropped to one knee.
D’Nisha covered her mouth in shock.
“D’Nisha… will you marry me?”
For a moment, everything went silent.
D’Nisha looked at the ring. Then she looked into Anthony’s eyes.
“Yes, Anthony. Yes.”
Anthony stood and embraced her.
Shayla Watches Her Last Chance Disappear
Shayla couldn’t hold her tears anymore.
She had come expecting to stop Anthony.
Instead, she had arrived just in time to watch him promise his future to someone else.
She slowly walked toward them.

Anthony turned around.
“You really chose her?”
“I chose the life I want, Shayla.”
Shayla’s voice broke.
“After everything between us, you can really walk away?”
“I already gave us more chances than we deserved.”
Shayla looked at D’Nisha.
D’Nisha didn’t say anything. She simply held Anthony’s hand.
That small gesture said everything.
Shayla wiped away her tears and stared at Anthony.
“You think this is over?”
Anthony remained silent.
Shayla took another step forward.
“I may have lost today… but Anthony, I’m not going to leave you.”
Anthony’s expression changed.
And suddenly, the celebration didn’t feel like the end of the story anymore.

Brooke, Isaiah & Mariah — The Proposal That Changed Everything
Brooke thought her argument with Isaiah was finally over. She had no idea that one angry decision from Isaiah was about to change everything.
Brooke stood in front of Isaiah, still angry. She had confronted him about everything that had been happening between them, but Isaiah seemed more interested in ending the argument than actually fixing anything.
Brooke: “Isaiah, you keep acting like I’m the problem when you know exactly what you did.”
Isaiah: “Brooke, I already told you. You’re making this bigger than it is.”
Brooke: “Bigger than it is? You really want to say that after everything I found out?”
Isaiah: “I’m tired of arguing with you.”
Brooke: “And I’m tired of you lying to me!”
Isaiah turned away, clearly frustrated. Brooke’s anger continued to build until she reacted impulsively and slapped him. The entire room immediately became silent.
Isaiah slowly turned back toward Brooke, shocked and furious.
Isaiah: “Did you really just hit me?”
Brooke: “I was angry, Isaiah. I—”
Isaiah: “No. You don’t get to do that and then explain it away.”
Brooke: “I said I was angry!”
Isaiah stared at Brooke for several seconds. Then he grabbed his phone. His expression suddenly changed, and Brooke immediately sensed that something was wrong.
Isaiah: “You know what? Maybe I finally know what I need to do.”
Brooke: “What does that mean?”
Isaiah didn’t answer. Instead, he called Mariah.
Isaiah: “Mariah, where are you?”
Brooke: “Why are you calling her?”
Isaiah ignored the question.
Isaiah: “Come over. We need to talk.”
Brooke immediately realized that Isaiah wasn’t simply making a phone call. Something else was happening, and she had a terrible feeling about it.
A short time later, Mariah arrived. She walked into the room and immediately noticed the tension between Brooke and Isaiah.
Mariah: “What happened?”
Isaiah looked at Brooke, then at Mariah. His next words shocked both women.
Isaiah: “I’m done going back and forth.”
Brooke: “Isaiah…”
Isaiah reached into his pocket.
Brooke’s eyes immediately went to his hand. He was holding a ring.
Brooke: “Wait… what?”
Mariah: “Isaiah, what are you doing?”
Isaiah looked directly at Mariah.
Isaiah: “I’ve made my decision.”
Brooke: “No. You haven’t.”
Isaiah continued without listening to Brooke.
Isaiah: “Mariah, I want to be with you. I don’t want any more confusion. I don’t want any more arguments. I want us to settle everything right now.”
Mariah: “Isaiah, this is happening way too fast.”
Brooke: “Mariah, please don’t let him do this.”
Isaiah’s eyes remained on Mariah. Brooke could see exactly what he was trying to do, and it made her even more upset.
Isaiah: “Brooke, stay out of it!”
Brooke: “You’re only doing this because you’re angry with me!”
Isaiah: “Maybe I am. But I’m still making my choice.”
Mariah looked at the ring but still seemed uncertain. She didn’t understand why Isaiah was suddenly making such a serious decision immediately after his argument with Brooke.
Mariah: “I don’t know if this is the right thing.”
Isaiah: “Trust me.”
Brooke stepped forward, trying to stop the situation from getting even more complicated.
Brooke: “Isaiah, please think about what you’re doing.”
But Isaiah deliberately ignored her. He took Mariah’s hand and put the ring on her finger.
The second the ring went on, the entire mood changed.
Brooke: “You actually let him do that?”
Mariah: “Brooke, I didn’t know he was going to do this!”
Isaiah: “Enough!”
Brooke: “This isn’t a real proposal! He did this because he wanted to hurt me!”
Isaiah: “You slapped me, Brooke!”
Brooke: “And now you’re destroying everything just to punish me!”
Mariah suddenly realized that there might be another reason behind Isaiah’s sudden proposal.
Mariah: “Both of you, stop!”
Brooke: “You think putting a ring on her finger is going to make me jealous?”
Isaiah: “Looks like it’s working.”
Brooke’s expression changed. She finally understood what Isaiah had been trying to accomplish.
Brooke: “You planned this?”
Isaiah became quiet.
Mariah: “Wait… you did this to make Brooke jealous?”
Isaiah tried to explain, but Mariah was already questioning everything.
Mariah: “You put this ring on my finger knowing you were still thinking about Brooke?”
Isaiah: “Mariah, calm down.”
Mariah: “No. You calm down.”
Mariah looked down at the ring and slowly removed it.
Mariah: “This isn’t love. This is revenge.”
Isaiah looked at both women. For the first time, he realized that his plan had completely backfired.
Brooke wiped her eyes and looked directly at Isaiah.
“You wanted me to watch you choose somebody else. Well, Isaiah… congratulations. You finally showed me exactly who you are.”
Brooke walked away, while Mariah placed the ring on the table.
Isaiah stood there speechless.
What started as an argument between Brooke and Isaiah had turned into a moment none of them could take back.
