Brooke, Isaiah & Mariah — The Proposal That Changed Everything
Brooke thought her argument with Isaiah was finally over. She had no idea that one angry decision from Isaiah was about to change everything.
Brooke stood in front of Isaiah, still angry. She had confronted him about everything that had been happening between them, but Isaiah seemed more interested in ending the argument than actually fixing anything.
Brooke: “Isaiah, you keep acting like I’m the problem when you know exactly what you did.”
Isaiah: “Brooke, I already told you. You’re making this bigger than it is.”
Brooke: “Bigger than it is? You really want to say that after everything I found out?”
Isaiah: “I’m tired of arguing with you.”
Brooke: “And I’m tired of you lying to me!”
Isaiah turned away, clearly frustrated. Brooke’s anger continued to build until she reacted impulsively and slapped him. The entire room immediately became silent.
Isaiah slowly turned back toward Brooke, shocked and furious.
Isaiah: “Did you really just hit me?”
Brooke: “I was angry, Isaiah. I—”
Isaiah: “No. You don’t get to do that and then explain it away.”
Brooke: “I said I was angry!”
Isaiah stared at Brooke for several seconds. Then he grabbed his phone. His expression suddenly changed, and Brooke immediately sensed that something was wrong.
Isaiah: “You know what? Maybe I finally know what I need to do.”
Brooke: “What does that mean?”
Isaiah didn’t answer. Instead, he called Mariah.
Isaiah: “Mariah, where are you?”
Brooke: “Why are you calling her?”
Isaiah ignored the question.
Isaiah: “Come over. We need to talk.”
Brooke immediately realized that Isaiah wasn’t simply making a phone call. Something else was happening, and she had a terrible feeling about it.
A short time later, Mariah arrived. She walked into the room and immediately noticed the tension between Brooke and Isaiah.
Mariah: “What happened?”
Isaiah looked at Brooke, then at Mariah. His next words shocked both women.
Isaiah: “I’m done going back and forth.”
Brooke: “Isaiah…”
Isaiah reached into his pocket.
Brooke’s eyes immediately went to his hand. He was holding a ring.
Brooke: “Wait… what?”
Mariah: “Isaiah, what are you doing?”
Isaiah looked directly at Mariah.
Isaiah: “I’ve made my decision.”
Brooke: “No. You haven’t.”
Isaiah continued without listening to Brooke.
Isaiah: “Mariah, I want to be with you. I don’t want any more confusion. I don’t want any more arguments. I want us to settle everything right now.”
Mariah: “Isaiah, this is happening way too fast.”
Brooke: “Mariah, please don’t let him do this.”
Isaiah’s eyes remained on Mariah. Brooke could see exactly what he was trying to do, and it made her even more upset.
Isaiah: “Brooke, stay out of it!”
Brooke: “You’re only doing this because you’re angry with me!”
Isaiah: “Maybe I am. But I’m still making my choice.”
Mariah looked at the ring but still seemed uncertain. She didn’t understand why Isaiah was suddenly making such a serious decision immediately after his argument with Brooke.
Mariah: “I don’t know if this is the right thing.”
Isaiah: “Trust me.”
Brooke stepped forward, trying to stop the situation from getting even more complicated.
Brooke: “Isaiah, please think about what you’re doing.”
But Isaiah deliberately ignored her. He took Mariah’s hand and put the ring on her finger.
The second the ring went on, the entire mood changed.
Brooke: “You actually let him do that?”
Mariah: “Brooke, I didn’t know he was going to do this!”
Isaiah: “Enough!”
Brooke: “This isn’t a real proposal! He did this because he wanted to hurt me!”
Isaiah: “You slapped me, Brooke!”
Brooke: “And now you’re destroying everything just to punish me!”
Mariah suddenly realized that there might be another reason behind Isaiah’s sudden proposal.
Mariah: “Both of you, stop!”
Brooke: “You think putting a ring on her finger is going to make me jealous?”
Isaiah: “Looks like it’s working.”
Brooke’s expression changed. She finally understood what Isaiah had been trying to accomplish.
Brooke: “You planned this?”
Isaiah became quiet.
Mariah: “Wait… you did this to make Brooke jealous?”
Isaiah tried to explain, but Mariah was already questioning everything.
Mariah: “You put this ring on my finger knowing you were still thinking about Brooke?”
Isaiah: “Mariah, calm down.”
Mariah: “No. You calm down.”
Mariah looked down at the ring and slowly removed it.
Mariah: “This isn’t love. This is revenge.”
Isaiah looked at both women. For the first time, he realized that his plan had completely backfired.
Brooke wiped her eyes and looked directly at Isaiah.
“You wanted me to watch you choose somebody else. Well, Isaiah… congratulations. You finally showed me exactly who you are.”
Brooke walked away, while Mariah placed the ring on the table.
Isaiah stood there speechless.
