SCENE 1 — OUTSIDE HONEY POT — DAY

The afternoon is quiet. Shayla stands outside Honey Pot, holding her phone tightly in her hand. Her expression is worried as she thinks about her unpaid house rent.

She takes a deep breath and dials Anthony’s number.

SHAYLA

Anthony, I need your help. I need some money to pay my house rent. Can you please help me?

There is a short silence. Shayla waits hopefully for his response.

ANTHONY

Shayla, you are not my responsibility.

Shayla’s expression suddenly changes. She is deeply hurt by his words.

SHAYLA

Anthony… I’m only asking because I really need help right now.

ANTHONY

I already told you. You’re not my responsibility.

Anthony immediately ends the call. Shayla slowly lowers her phone and stares at the screen in silence.

SCENE 2 — SHAYLA THINKS OF HONEY POT

Honey Pot notices Shayla’s expression and walks closer to her.

HONEY POT

Shayla, what happened?

SHAYLA

I called Anthony and asked him for money for my rent. He refused to help me.

HONEY POT

What did he say?

SHAYLA

He said… “You are not my responsibility.”

Honey Pot looks disappointed by Anthony’s behavior.

SHAYLA

Honey Pot… maybe you can help me. I need some money for my rent.

HONEY POT

Shayla, I’m really sorry. I don’t have any money right now.

HONEY POT

But I can talk to Wayne. Maybe he can help you.

SHAYLA

Then let’s go to Wayne right now.

SCENE 3 — ON THE WAY TO WAYNE’S HOUSE

Shayla walks beside Honey Pot. She remains unusually quiet, worried about her situation.

SHAYLA

I don’t know what I’m going to do if I can’t pay the rent.

HONEY POT

Don’t worry. Maybe Wayne will understand your situation.

SHAYLA

I just hope he doesn’t refuse me like Anthony did.

They continue walking toward Wayne’s house.

SCENE 4 — WAYNE’S HOUSE — DAY

Wayne hears a knock at the door. He opens it and is surprised to see Honey Pot and Shayla standing outside.

WAYNE

Honey Pot? Shayla? What brings you here?

HONEY POT

Wayne, we came because Shayla needs your help.

WAYNE

What kind of help?

HONEY POT

Shayla needs money to pay her house rent.

Wayne looks directly at Shayla. She remains quiet.

WAYNE

Is that true?

SHAYLA

Yes. I asked Anthony for help, but he refused.

Wayne becomes silent and starts thinking carefully.

SCENE 5 — WAYNE’S SECRET THOUGHTS

Wayne studies Shayla’s situation. He realizes that helping her financially could give him influence over her.

He keeps his face calm, carefully hiding his true intentions from Shayla and Honey Pot.

SHAYLA

I need enough to pay my rent.

Wayne nods and makes his decision.

WAYNE

Don’t worry, Shayla. I’ll help you.

Shayla’s face fills with relief.

SHAYLA

Really?

WAYNE

Yes.

HONEY POT

Thank you, Wayne. I knew you would understand.

SCENE 7 — THE MONEY

Wayne takes out the money and counts it carefully before handing it to Shayla.

SHAYLA

Thank you so much, Wayne. I really appreciate your help.

WAYNE

You’re welcome.

SHAYLA

You really helped me when I had nowhere else to go.

WAYNE

Whenever you need help, you can come to me.

Shayla smiles gratefully, unaware of the hidden motive behind Wayne’s generosity.

SCENE 8 — SHAYLA LEAVES

SHAYLA

Thank you again, Wayne.

WAYNE

Take care of yourself.

Shayla and Honey Pot leave the house. The door slowly closes behind them.

Wayne remains standing inside. His friendly expression disappears as he begins thinking about what just happened.

Now Shayla owes me.

Wayne looks toward the closed door with a calculating expression.

SCENE 9 — OUTSIDE WAYNE’S HOUSE

Shayla walks beside Honey Pot. She finally feels relieved.

SHAYLA

I honestly didn’t know what I was going to do.

HONEY POT

At least you have the rent money now.

SHAYLA

Wayne really helped me when I needed it most.

Neither of them notices the hidden motive behind Wayne’s generosity.

SCENE 10 — WAYNE’S PLAN

Wayne steps away from the window and sits down. His expression is serious.

WAYNE

Shayla has no idea what this money means.

WAYNE

She thinks I simply helped her.

Wayne pauses, already thinking about his next move.

But sooner or later, she’ll realize that accepting my help comes with consequences.

The room becomes silent.
