THE FIGHT FOR BROOKE

SCENE 1 — BROOKE’S HOUSE — LIVING ROOM — EVENING

The living room is unusually quiet.

BROOKE stands near the window, looking outside with a worried expression. She knows something is about to happen.

The front door opens.

ISAIAH walks inside, tense but determined.

A few seconds later, CAMERON enters.

Brooke immediately notices the tension between them.

BROOKE
“What are you two doing here?”

Isaiah looks at Cameron.

Cameron looks back at Isaiah.

Neither man answers immediately.

The silence becomes uncomfortable.

ISAIAH
“I came to talk to Brooke.”

CAMERON
“So did I.”

Isaiah takes a breath.

ISAIAH
“Then say what you came to say.”

Cameron steps forward.

CAMERON
“I’m here because I care about Brooke.”

Brooke crosses her arms.

BROOKE
“You both keep saying that. But nobody is asking what I want.”

Isaiah looks at her.

ISAIAH
“I know what you want, Brooke.”

Cameron shakes his head.

CAMERON
“No, Isaiah. You think you know what she wants.”

Brooke looks between them.

The argument is already beginning.

SCENE 2 — THE LIVING ROOM — MOMENTS LATER

Isaiah moves toward the center of the room.

His voice becomes more serious.

ISAIAH
“Brooke has been through enough. She needs someone who is going to stay beside her.”

Cameron immediately responds.

CAMERON
“And that someone is me.”

Isaiah gives him a skeptical look.

ISAIAH
“You?”

CAMERON
“Yes. Me.”

Brooke closes her eyes for a moment.

BROOKE
“Please stop talking about me like I’m not standing here.”

Neither man seems ready to back down.

ISAIAH
“Brooke is going to stay with me.”

Cameron answers immediately.

CAMERON
“No. Brooke is going to stay with me.”

Isaiah steps closer.

ISAIAH
“You don’t get to decide that.”

CAMERON
“Neither do you.”

Brooke raises her voice.

BROOKE
“Enough!”

Both men stop.

Brooke looks frustrated.

BROOKE
“I am not something either of you can claim.”

The room falls silent.

SCENE 3 — ISAIAH’S ARGUMENT

Isaiah looks at Brooke.

His expression softens.

ISAIAH
“I’m not trying to claim you.”

Brooke watches him carefully.

ISAIAH
“I’m saying that I want to be there for you. I know we’ve had problems, but I still care about you.”

Cameron shakes his head.

CAMERON
“You had your chance, Isaiah.”

Isaiah turns toward him.

ISAIAH
“This isn’t about you and me.”

CAMERON
“It became about me when you started acting like Brooke had already made her decision.”

Isaiah looks back at Brooke.

ISAIAH
“Brooke knows how I feel.”

Cameron responds firmly.

CAMERON
“And Brooke knows how I feel too.”

Brooke sighs.

BROOKE
“This is exactly why I didn’t want either of you arguing.”

Isaiah lowers his voice.

ISAIAH
“I just don’t want to lose her.”

Cameron pauses.

For the first time, his expression changes.

CAMERON
“Neither do I.”

SCENE 4 — THE TENSION RISES

The two men stand several feet apart.

Their disagreement becomes more emotional.

ISAIAH
“You keep saying you’ll be there for Brooke. Where were you when she needed someone?”

Cameron looks hurt.

CAMERON
“I was there. Maybe you just weren’t paying attention.”

Isaiah shakes his head.

ISAIAH
“You don’t know what we’ve been through.”

CAMERON
“And you don’t know what Brooke needs now.”

Brooke watches them argue.

She finally steps between them.

BROOKE
“Stop!”

Both men look at her.

BROOKE
“You’re turning this into a competition.”

She looks at Isaiah.

BROOKE
“You say you’ll stay with me.”

Then she looks at Cameron.

BROOKE
“You say the same thing.”

She takes a breath.

BROOKE
“But neither of you is listening to me.”

Isaiah looks down.

Cameron becomes quiet.

SCENE 5 — BROOKE MAKES HER POINT

Brooke walks toward the couch and sits down.

Isaiah and Cameron remain standing.

BROOKE
“I don’t need someone fighting over me.”

Isaiah looks at her.

ISAIAH
“Then what do you need?”

Brooke pauses before answering.

BROOKE
“I need honesty.”

Cameron nods slightly.

BROOKE
“I need someone who respects my choices.”

Isaiah looks thoughtful.

BROOKE
“And most importantly, I need peace.”

Neither man speaks.

Brooke looks directly at them.

BROOKE
“If you really care about me, stop trying to win.”

Isaiah slowly nods.

ISAIAH
“Okay.”

Cameron exhales.

CAMERON
“Okay.”

For a moment, the tension disappears.

SCENE 6 — AN UNEXPECTED QUESTION

Isaiah looks at Brooke.

ISAIAH
“But I still want to know something.”

Brooke raises an eyebrow.

BROOKE
“What?”

ISAIAH
“Do you still want me in your life?”

Brooke doesn’t answer immediately.

Cameron looks away, giving her space.

Brooke finally speaks.

BROOKE
“I haven’t forgotten everything we’ve been through.”

Isaiah listens carefully.

BROOKE
“But I also haven’t forgotten the things that hurt me.”

Isaiah nods slowly.

ISAIAH
“I understand.”

Cameron looks at Brooke.

CAMERON
“And what about me?”

Brooke looks toward him.

BROOKE
“You matter to me too.”

Cameron smiles faintly.

But Brooke quickly adds:

BROOKE
“That doesn’t mean either of you gets to make my decision for me.”

SCENE 7 — THE CHOICE

The room becomes quiet again.

Isaiah takes a step backward.

ISAIAH
“Maybe we both need to give Brooke some space.”

Cameron nods.

CAMERON
“I agree.”

Brooke looks surprised.

She expected another argument.

BROOKE
“Thank you.”

Isaiah looks at Cameron.

ISAIAH
“I still believe Brooke and I have something worth fighting for.”

Cameron answers calmly.

CAMERON
“And I still believe I can make her happy.”

They exchange a serious look.

But this time, neither moves toward an argument.

Brooke stands.

BROOKE
“Then prove it by respecting me.”

Isaiah nods.

Cameron nods too.

SCENE 8 — OUTSIDE BROOKE’S HOUSE — NIGHT

Isaiah walks outside.

Cameron follows a few moments later.

They stop near the driveway.

The argument isn’t completely over.

Isaiah looks at Cameron.

ISAIAH
“This isn’t finished.”

Cameron gives him a serious look.

CAMERON
“I know.”

Isaiah looks back toward the house.

ISAIAH
“But Brooke gets to decide.”

Cameron nods.

CAMERON
“That’s the one thing we agree on.”

Inside the house, Brooke watches them through the window.

She takes a deep breath.

For the first time that evening, she feels that the decision belongs to her.

The camera slowly pulls away from the house.

Isaiah and Cameron walk in opposite directions.

Neither man has won.

And Brooke’s final choice remains unknown.

FADE OUT.
