The evening sky is turning dark. Inside a small house, Shayla sits alone on the edge of her bed.

An unpaid rent notice rests on the table in front of her. She stares at it silently, knowing that she does not have enough money to pay the rent.

Shayla opens her purse and counts the little money she has. She counts it once, then again.

Still, it is not enough.

She lowers her head as fear fills her heart. Losing her house is the last thing she wants.

Shayla takes a deep breath and suddenly remembers someone who might be able to help her.

She hesitates. She feels embarrassed about asking him for money. But the rent deadline is getting closer.

Finally, Shayla grabs her purse and leaves the house.

She decides to go to Dave’s house without telling him beforehand.

Dave is inside his house when he suddenly hears Shayla calling him from outside.

Dave walks outside and immediately notices the worry on her face.

Shayla takes a shaky breath. She slowly joins her hands in front of Dave and desperately asks him for help.

Shayla’s eyes fill with tears. She explains that she tried to manage everything herself, but she is still short of money.

Dave looks at her folded hands. He realizes how desperate she is.

Dave turns around and goes inside his house.

A few moments later, he returns with some money in his hand.

Dave extends his hand and gives the money to Shayla.

Dave and Shayla have no idea that someone is watching them.

Near the house door, Amber suddenly appears.

She stops when she sees Dave giving money to Shayla.

Amber’s eyes widen.

She silently watches the entire scene.

She sees Shayla put the money into her purse.

Amber’s expression slowly changes from shock to suspicion.

She begins wondering why Shayla came to Dave secretly and why Dave gave her money without telling Amber.

Shayla says goodbye to Dave and walks away.

Dave turns around and suddenly notices Amber standing near the door.

Dave takes a breath before answering.

Dave realizes that Amber has already seen everything.

Amber looks toward the street where Shayla disappeared. Then she turns her eyes back toward Dave.

Dave tries to explain that Shayla was desperate and simply needed help.

But Amber remains suspicious.

Dave looks at Amber in silence.
