DAN CALLS SHAYLA AND MAKES HIS FEELINGS CLEAR
SCENE 1 — SHAYLA’S HOUSE — LATE AFTERNOON
The house is calm.
Shayla is sitting comfortably when her phone suddenly rings.
She looks at the screen.
It’s Dan.
Hey, Dan. What’s going on?
There is a brief pause on the other end.
Dan sounds serious, but there is excitement in his voice.
Shayla, I want to see you. I need to talk to you.
Shayla sits up and listens carefully.
You want to meet me?
Yeah. There’s something I’ve been wanting to tell you.
Shayla becomes curious.
She glances toward Honey Pot, who is nearby.

Alright. We can talk.
Dan sounds relieved.
Good. I’ll let you know when I’m on my way.

They remain on the phone for a moment before Dan continues.
Actually, Shayla… there’s something else.

Shayla freezes for a moment.
She wasn’t expecting him to say it so directly.
Her expression changes from curiosity to surprise.

Shayla doesn’t immediately respond.
She looks down at her hands, processing his words.

SCENE 2 — SHAYLA TELLS HONEY POT — CONTINUOUS
Shayla ends the call and immediately turns toward Honey Pot.
Honey Pot looks at her curiously.
What did Dan want?
Shayla takes a breath.
Dan said he wants to meet me.
Why?
Shayla hesitates before answering.
He told me he likes me.
He actually said that?
Yes. He told me he really likes me and wants to spend more time with me.
Honey Pot watches Shayla carefully.
Shayla looks happy, but there is also a nervousness in her expression.

I told him I would give him a chance.
Honey Pot becomes quiet.
Shayla can tell that Honey Pot isn’t completely comfortable with the situation.

Shayla smiles.
She already knows her answer.
Yes, Dan. I accept.
Dan becomes noticeably happier.
Really?
Yes. I accept.
You just made my whole day.
You better be serious about this.
I am.
There is a warm silence between them.
Then Shayla remembers something.
Her expression becomes slightly concerned.
Dan, there’s something I’m worried about.
What is it?
I don’t want anyone showing up here and causing problems.
Then let me come to you. We can talk at your house.
Shayla thinks for a moment.
Okay. You can come over.
Alright. I’m on my way.
Okay. I’ll see you soon.
They end the call.
SCENE 4 — SHAYLA GETS READY — EVENING
Shayla places her phone down.
She looks around the room.
A nervous smile appears on her face.
She knows Dan is coming.
She walks to her room and begins getting ready.
She checks her appearance in the mirror.
She fixes her hair.
She chooses an outfit.
For a moment, she simply stands there, thinking about everything Dan just said.
I can’t believe this is happening.
She smiles to herself.
Meanwhile, Honey Pot notices that Shayla is getting ready.
You’re really getting ready for Dan?
Of course.
You seem really happy.
I am.
Honey Pot remains quiet.
Something about the situation still doesn’t sit right with her.
SCENE 5 — SHAYLA WAITS — NIGHT
Shayla finishes getting ready.
She returns to the living room and checks her phone.
No new message.
She waits.
A few minutes pass.
She checks again.
Then she hears a sound outside.
Shayla looks toward the door.
Her expression changes.
She knows who it is.
A moment later, there is a knock.
That’s Dan.
She walks toward the door.
SCENE 6 — DAN ARRIVES — CONTINUOUS
Shayla opens the door.
Dan is standing outside.
They look at each other for a moment.

I told you I’d come.
And you did.
She steps aside and lets him in.
You look nice.
Thank you.
They begin talking.
Shayla wants somewhere quiet where they can have a private conversation.
She gestures toward the hallway.
Come with me. We can talk in my room.
Okay.
They walk down the hallway together.
SCENE 7 — HONEY POT WATCHES — CONTINUOUS
Honey Pot is still nearby.
She watches Shayla and Dan walking toward the bedroom.
Her expression becomes uncomfortable.
She doesn’t say anything at first.
She simply watches them disappear down the hallway.
I don’t know about this…
She remains where she is.
Inside the bedroom, Shayla and Dan begin talking.
Outside, Honey Pot continues thinking about what she just saw.
She clearly isn’t happy with the situation.
The house becomes quiet again.
Shayla believes she has finally given Dan a chance.
Dan believes he has finally made his feelings clear.
And Honey Pot is left wondering whether Shayla is making the right decision.
