Outside Isaiah’s House — Day
The street is unusually quiet. Isaiah stands outside his house, unaware that Cameron is approaching. The tension in the air is already building. A car stops nearby. The door slams shut. Cameron steps out. His face is filled with anger. He stares directly at Isaiah. Isaiah notices him and immediately looks confused.
ISAIAH: Cameron? What are you doing here?
Cameron keeps walking toward him. He doesn’t answer. His footsteps become heavier.
ISAIAH: I’m talking to you. Why did you come to my house?
Cameron finally stops a few feet away. His eyes are locked on Isaiah.
CAMERON: You really thought I was just going to let everything slide?
Isaiah shakes his head.
ISAIAH: I don’t know what you’re talking about.
Cameron steps closer.
CAMERON: Don’t stand there and act like you don’t know exactly what you did.
Isaiah looks frustrated.
ISAIAH: Cameron, if you came here to start something, then you need to leave.
That only makes Cameron angrier.
CAMERON: Leave? You’re telling me to leave? At your house?
Isaiah tries to stay calm.
ISAIAH: Yeah. Because I’m not doing this with you.
Cameron’s jaw tightens.
CAMERON: Oh, so now you’re too good to talk?
ISAIAH: No. I just don’t want any problems.
Cameron takes another step forward.
CAMERON: Well, maybe you should’ve thought about that before you created the problem.
Isaiah looks around. The neighborhood is quiet. No one else is outside.
ISAIAH: I’m not going back and forth with you, Cameron. Just say what you came here to say.
Cameron suddenly gets right in front of him. The distance between them disappears.
CAMERON: You know why I’m here.
Isaiah refuses to back down.
ISAIAH: Then say it.
For a moment, neither of them speaks. The tension becomes unbearable. Cameron’s anger finally explodes.
CAMERON: You think you can do whatever you want and nobody’s going to confront you?
Isaiah raises his voice.
ISAIAH: And you think showing up at my house acting crazy is going to solve something?
Cameron suddenly shoves him. Isaiah stumbles backward. His expression changes.
ISAIAH: What is wrong with you?
Cameron moves toward him again.
CAMERON: Say that again.
ISAIAH: I said, what is wrong with you?
Cameron loses control. He lunges forward. Isaiah barely has time to react. Cameron forces him down onto the ground. Isaiah struggles to get away, but the attack happens too quickly.
ISAIAH: Cameron! Get off me!
Cameron continues attacking him in a burst of anger. Isaiah tries to protect himself, but he is overwhelmed and unable to fight back.
CAMERON: You should’ve stayed out of things that didn’t concern you!
ISAIAH: Stop! Cameron, stop!
The struggle becomes more intense. Isaiah tries to push Cameron away. But he can’t get free. A moment later, blood begins appearing on Isaiah’s face from the assault. Isaiah becomes visibly shaken. He tries desperately to move away.
ISAIAH: Get off me! I didn’t do anything to you!
But Cameron is still furious. He isn’t listening.
Inside Isaiah’s House — Continuous
Isaiah’s dad hears the commotion outside. At first, he looks confused. Then he hears his son shouting.
ISAIAH: Dad!
The father freezes. His face immediately fills with concern. He rushes toward the front window. And then — he sees them. Cameron is attacking Isaiah on the ground. Isaiah is struggling to defend himself. Isaiah’s dad’s eyes widen in shock.
ISAIAH’S DAD: Oh my God!
He quickly runs toward the door.
Outside Isaiah’s House — Continuous
Isaiah’s dad bursts outside. He sees his son on the ground. Blood is visible on Isaiah’s face. Cameron is still furious.
ISAIAH’S DAD: HEY! GET AWAY FROM MY SON!
Cameron barely reacts. Isaiah’s dad moves closer.
ISAIAH’S DAD: I SAID GET OFF OF HIM!
Cameron finally looks up. His anger is still written all over his face. Isaiah’s dad reaches for his phone with shaking hands. He immediately calls the police.
ISAIAH’S DAD: Hello! I need the police right now! There’s someone attacking my son outside my house! Please hurry!
Cameron hears him. For a brief moment, he looks around. But the damage has already been done. Isaiah finally manages to create some distance between them. He slowly moves away, breathing heavily. He looks exhausted and shaken. Isaiah’s dad quickly steps between the two.
ISAIAH’S DAD: Stay away from him! Do not come near my son again!
Cameron stands there breathing heavily. His fists are clenched.
CAMERON: You don’t know what happened!
Isaiah’s dad stares at him in disbelief.
ISAIAH’S DAD: I know exactly what I just saw! I watched you attacking my son!
Isaiah slowly gets to his feet. His face is injured, and he struggles to regain his balance. His father immediately turns toward him.
ISAIAH’S DAD: Isaiah! Are you okay?
Isaiah wipes his face and looks down.
ISAIAH: I’m okay, Dad.
Isaiah’s dad looks furious.
ISAIAH’S DAD: No, you’re not okay. Look at your face!
Cameron takes a step forward. Isaiah’s dad immediately raises his hand.
ISAIAH’S DAD: Don’t take another step!
Cameron stops. In the distance — sirens. Everyone turns toward the sound. Isaiah’s dad keeps one arm in front of his son.
ISAIAH’S DAD: The police are coming.
Cameron’s expression begins to change. His anger slowly turns into realization.
Outside Isaiah’s House — Moments Later
Two police cars pull up outside the house. Police officers quickly step out. They immediately separate everyone.
POLICE OFFICER: Everybody calm down! Nobody move!
Cameron raises his hands slightly.
CAMERON: He knows what happened!
Isaiah’s dad points toward Isaiah.
ISAIAH’S DAD: My son was outside his own house! This man came here and attacked him!
One officer walks over to Isaiah.
POLICE OFFICER: Are you hurt?
Isaiah takes a deep breath.
ISAIAH: Yes. He came here to confront me. I told him I didn’t want any problems. Then he attacked me.
The officer nods and looks toward Cameron. Another officer steps between Cameron and Isaiah.
POLICE OFFICER: Sir, step back.
Cameron looks frustrated.
CAMERON: I was angry, but—
POLICE OFFICER: Step back.
Cameron hesitates. The officer repeats himself.
POLICE OFFICER: Now.
Cameron finally steps away. The officers move closer to him.
CAMERON: This isn’t what it looks like!
Isaiah’s dad becomes furious.
ISAIAH’S DAD: We all saw what happened! My son couldn’t even defend himself!
Cameron looks toward Isaiah. For the first time, he sees the condition Isaiah is in. The reality of what happened begins to sink in. But it is too late. An officer takes Cameron’s arm.
POLICE OFFICER: You are under arrest.
Cameron pulls back slightly in surprise.
