SCENE 1 — MARIAH’S HOUSE — LIVING ROOM — EVENING

The room is quiet.

Mariah sits on the couch, scrolling through her phone when someone knocks on the door.

She looks up, surprised.

When she opens it, Cameron is standing outside.

His expression is serious.

MARIAH

Cameron? What are you doing here?

Cameron steps inside but remains silent for a moment.

He looks nervous, as if he knows the conversation ahead will change everything.

CAMERON

Mariah, I need to tell you something about Brooke.

Mariah immediately puts her phone down.

MARIAH

What happened to Brooke?

Cameron takes a breath.

CAMERON

I found out what happened between Brooke and Isaiah while she was in Philly.

Mariah’s expression changes.

MARIAH

What are you talking about?

CAMERON

Brooke and Isaiah became much closer than people realized.

Mariah stares at him.

MARIAH

Are you saying they were together?

Cameron nods.

CAMERON

Yes. And Brooke hasn’t told everyone the whole story.

Mariah stands.

She looks shocked and hurt.

MARIAH

Does Brooke know that you know?

CAMERON

No.

Mariah walks toward the window, trying to process everything.

MARIAH

Why would Isaiah keep something like this secret?

CAMERON

Because he knows it could cause problems.

Mariah turns back toward Cameron.

MARIAH

And you came here to tell me?

CAMERON

I thought you deserved to know.

Mariah looks down at her phone.

After a long pause, she makes a decision.

MARIAH

Then Brooke needs to hear this from me.

Cameron looks concerned.

CAMERON

Mariah, be careful.

MARIAH

I will.

Mariah grabs her purse and walks toward the door.

SCENE 2 — BROOKE’S HOUSE — LIVING ROOM — NIGHT

Brooke is sitting on the couch.

She looks relaxed until the door opens.

Mariah walks inside.

Brooke immediately notices her serious expression.

BROOKE

Mariah? What happened?

Mariah sits across from her.

She hesitates.

MARIAH

I need to ask you something.

Brooke becomes uncomfortable.

BROOKE

Okay. Ask me.

Mariah looks directly at her.

MARIAH

What really happened between you and Isaiah in Philly?

Brooke freezes.

Her expression tells Mariah that the question hit a nerve.

BROOKE

Why are you asking me that?

MARIAH

Because Cameron came to me.

Brooke slowly stands.

BROOKE

What did Cameron tell you?

MARIAH

He told me that you and Isaiah became involved while you were in Philly.

Brooke looks away.

Silence fills the room.

BROOKE

Mariah, it’s complicated.

MARIAH

Then explain it.

Brooke sits back down.

Her voice becomes quieter.

BROOKE

I trusted Isaiah.

Mariah watches her carefully.

BROOKE

I thought things were changing between us. I thought maybe he was finally serious.

Mariah shakes her head.

MARIAH

And now?

Brooke looks down.

BROOKE

Now I don’t know what to believe.

Mariah moves closer.

MARIAH

That’s exactly why we need to be careful.

Brooke looks at her.

BROOKE

What do you mean?

Mariah lowers her voice.

MARIAH

Isaiah can’t know that Cameron told me.

Brooke’s eyes narrow.

BROOKE

Why?

MARIAH

Because if he knows we know, he’ll change his story.

Brooke thinks about it.

BROOKE

So what are you suggesting?

Mariah looks toward the door.

MARIAH

We let him think everything is normal.

Brooke slowly understands.

BROOKE

You want to test him?

MARIAH

Exactly.

SCENE 3 — BROOKE’S HOUSE — KITCHEN — LATER THAT NIGHT

Brooke and Mariah sit at the kitchen table.

A notebook lies between them.

Brooke looks uneasy.

BROOKE

I don’t want to hurt anybody.

MARIAH

Neither do I.

Mariah closes the notebook.

MARIAH

But we need the truth.

Brooke nods.

BROOKE

So what’s the plan?

Mariah looks directly at her.

MARIAH

First, we don’t tell Isaiah what Cameron said.

Brooke listens carefully.

MARIAH

Second, you talk to Isaiah normally.

BROOKE

And you?

MARIAH

I’ll watch what he says and how he reacts.

Brooke gives her a doubtful look.

BROOKE

You really think he’ll expose himself?

MARIAH

If he’s hiding something, eventually he’ll contradict himself.

Brooke looks at the notebook.

BROOKE

And then?

Mariah leans forward.

MARIAH

Then we confront him together.

Brooke takes a deep breath.

BROOKE

Okay.

The two exchange a serious look.

Their plan is officially in motion.

SCENE 4 — ISAIAH’S HOUSE — NIGHT

Isaiah sits on the couch, looking at his phone.

His phone suddenly rings.

BROOKE is calling.

He answers.

ISAIAH

Hey, Brooke.

Brooke keeps her voice calm.

BROOKE

Hey. What are you doing?

ISAIAH

Nothing. Just relaxing.

Brooke glances at Mariah, who is silently listening nearby.

BROOKE

I was thinking about everything that happened in Philly.

Isaiah pauses.

ISAIAH

What about it?

BROOKE

Do you regret anything?

Isaiah becomes defensive.

ISAIAH

Why are you asking me that?

Brooke keeps her composure.

BROOKE

I just want honesty.

Isaiah sighs.

ISAIAH

Brooke, you know how I feel about you.

Mariah raises an eyebrow.

Brooke continues.

BROOKE

Then tell me the truth.

A long silence follows.

ISAIAH

What exactly do you want me to say?

Brooke looks toward Mariah.

Mariah silently signals her to continue.

BROOKE

Everything.

Isaiah becomes increasingly uncomfortable.

ISAIAH

I don’t know what you’re talking about.

Brooke ends the call.

She immediately looks at Mariah.

BROOKE

Did you hear that?

MARIAH

Yes.

Mariah picks up the notebook.

MARIAH

He’s already avoiding the question.

Brooke nods.

SCENE 5 — BROOKE’S HOUSE — LIVING ROOM — NEXT DAY

Mariah and Brooke sit together.

Cameron arrives.

He immediately notices the tension.

CAMERON

What happened?

Mariah looks at Brooke.

Brooke answers.

BROOKE

We talked to Isaiah.

Cameron sits down.

CAMERON

And?

MARIAH

He denied knowing what we were talking about.

Cameron looks surprised.

CAMERON

That’s not what he told me before.

Brooke looks at Mariah.

BROOKE

Then he’s lying to somebody.

Mariah nods.

MARIAH

And that’s exactly what we needed to find out.

Cameron looks concerned.

CAMERON

What are you two planning?

Brooke and Mariah exchange a glance.

BROOKE

We’re going to make Isaiah tell the truth.

Mariah stands.

MARIAH

But we’re not going to rush.

CAMERON

Be careful.

MARIAH

We will.

Brooke looks determined.

BROOKE

Isaiah thought he could keep everyone confused.

She looks at Mariah.

BROOKE

Now he has two people watching his every move.

Mariah smiles slightly.

MARIAH

And he doesn’t even know it yet.

SCENE 6 — BROOKE’S HOUSE — NIGHT

The house is quiet.

Brooke and Mariah sit together, reviewing everything that happened.

The notebook is now filled with notes.

Brooke closes it.

BROOKE

Whatever happens next, we’re staying together.

Mariah nods.

MARIAH

No more secrets between us.

Brooke looks at her.

BROOKE

Agreed.

Suddenly, Brooke’s phone lights up.

A message from Isaiah appears.

Brooke reads it.

Her expression immediately changes.

MARIAH

What did he say?

Brooke slowly turns the phone toward Mariah.

Mariah reads the message.

Her eyes widen.

MARIAH

He just gave us another piece of the puzzle.

Brooke looks determined.

BROOKE

Then tomorrow, we finish this.

Mariah nods.

The two women exchange a final look.

Neither of them knows exactly how Isaiah will react when the truth finally comes out.

But one thing is certain—

They are no longer keeping each other’s secrets.
