LARRY SLAPS SHARRA AFTER DESTINY REVEALS HER SECRET ABOUT DRE — THEN ORDERS HER TO LEAVE!
Larry stood in the living room, staring at his phone when Destiny’s unexpected words made his entire expression change. He had always believed he knew what was happening in Sharra’s life, but what Destiny was about to reveal threatened to destroy the little trust he still had in her. Destiny hesitated, knowing that once she spoke, Larry would never look at Sharra the same way again.
DESTINY: “Larry, I need to tell you something about Sharra, and I don’t think you’re going to like it.”
LARRY: “What are you talking about? If this is another argument between you and Sharra, I don’t have time for it.”
DESTINY: “This isn’t an argument. It’s about Dre. Sharra has been spending a lot of time with him lately, and I’m talking about more than just seeing him occasionally.”
Larry slowly lowered his phone.
LARRY: “What did you just say?”
DESTINY: “You heard me. Sharra has been around Dre a lot, Larry. I don’t know what she’s told you, but I thought you deserved to know.”
Larry’s jaw tightened as he tried to control his anger. He remembered the times Sharra had given vague explanations about where she was going and why she was coming home late. At the time, he had accepted her answers because he didn’t want another confrontation. Now, Destiny’s words made every unanswered question return to his mind.
LARRY: “How long has this been going on?”
DESTINY: “Long enough for me to realize that you needed to hear the truth. I’m not trying to start trouble, but I can’t keep watching you trust somebody who might not be telling you everything.”
LARRY: “And you waited until now to tell me?”
DESTINY: “I was hoping Sharra would tell you herself. She hasn’t, and I don’t know how much longer she’s planning to keep this from you.”
Larry turned away, rubbing his forehead as frustration overwhelmed him. He wanted to believe Destiny was mistaken, but the certainty in her voice made that difficult.
LARRY: “If what you’re telling me is true, Sharra is going to explain everything to my face. I’m done hearing stories from other people.”
DESTINY: “Just promise me you’ll listen before you do something you’ll regret.”
Larry looked at her sharply.
LARRY: “I said she’s going to explain herself. That’s all I know right now.”
Destiny could see that her warning had done little to calm him. She watched as Larry grabbed his phone and began pacing around the living room, waiting for Sharra to arrive. Every passing minute seemed to make him angrier.
When Sharra finally walked through the front door, she immediately noticed the tension in the room. Larry was standing near the couch with his arms crossed, while Destiny remained by the doorway, looking uncomfortable.
SHARRA: “What’s going on? Why are both of you looking at me like that?”
LARRY: “Come here, Sharra. We need to talk.”
Sharra looked at Destiny before turning back toward Larry.
SHARRA: “About what? I just got here.”
LARRY: “Don’t play games with me. Tell me what’s going on between you and Dre.”
The color seemed to drain from Sharra’s face. For a moment, she couldn’t find the words to answer him.
SHARRA: “What are you talking about? Why are you bringing Dre into this?”
LARRY: “Because Destiny just told me you’ve been spending a lot of time with him lately. Now I’m asking you directly. Is it true?”
Sharra turned toward Destiny, her eyes filled with anger and disbelief.
SHARRA: “You told him about me and Dre? Who gave you the right to get involved in my business?”
DESTINY: “I didn’t make anything up, Sharra. Larry asked what was happening, and I told him what I knew.”
SHARRA: “You had no business discussing my life with him!”
LARRY: “Stop shouting at her and answer my question!”
Sharra faced Larry again, struggling to keep her composure.
SHARRA: “Dre and I have been talking. Is that what you wanted to hear? We’re friends, Larry. I don’t understand why you’re acting like I’ve committed some terrible crime.”
LARRY: “Friends? Is that what you’re calling it? Because from what I’m hearing, you’ve been spending more and more time with him while giving me excuses whenever I ask where you’ve been.”
SHARRA: “You don’t know everything that’s happening in my life!”
LARRY: “Then tell me! I’m standing right here, giving you the chance to explain yourself, and all you want to do is argue!”
Sharra threw her hands up in frustration.
SHARRA: “Because you already made up your mind before I even walked through that door!”
Larry’s anger finally boiled over. In a sudden, impulsive moment, he slapped Sharra across the face. The sharp sound silenced the entire room.
Sharra stepped back in shock, one hand rising to her cheek. Destiny immediately moved between them, horrified by what she had witnessed.
DESTINY: “Larry! What is wrong with you? You cannot put your hands on her!”
Larry stood breathing heavily, but even he seemed unsettled by how quickly he had lost control. Sharra stared at him with tears gathering in her eyes, her shock slowly turning into anger.
SHARRA: “You hit me? You actually hit me because somebody told you something about my life?”
LARRY: “You need to start telling me the truth!”
DESTINY: “That doesn’t give you the right to hit her! Whatever happened between them, you should have talked to her without doing that.”
Sharra wiped her eyes and straightened her shoulders.
SHARRA: “You want the truth, Larry? Fine. I’ve been spending time with Dre because I can actually talk to him without feeling like I’m being interrogated every five minutes. Every time I come here, somebody wants to tell me what I should do, where I should go, and who I should be around.”
LARRY: “So now this is my fault?”
SHARRA: “I didn’t say that! But you never try to understand my side of anything.”
LARRY: “Then explain why you kept this from me. Why did I have to hear about Dre from Destiny instead of you?”
Sharra hesitated. Her eyes shifted toward the front door, and Larry noticed.
LARRY: “Look at me when I’m talking to you. Is there something else you’re hiding?”
SHARRA: “I’m not hiding anything.”
LARRY: “Then why can’t you give me a straight answer?”
SHARRA: “Because I knew you’d react exactly like this!”
Larry pointed toward the door.
LARRY: “I’ve had enough. If you can’t respect me enough to tell me what’s happening, then get out of my house. I don’t want you standing here making excuses anymore.”
Destiny looked at him in disbelief.
DESTINY: “Larry, think about what you’re saying. You’re angry right now, and this situation is already bad enough.”
LARRY: “Stay out of it, Destiny. You told me what you knew, and now I’m dealing with Sharra.”
Sharra let out a bitter laugh, though tears still filled her eyes.
SHARRA: “You know what? Maybe leaving is exactly what I should do. At least then I won’t have to stand here begging you to hear me.”
She picked up her bag from the couch and headed toward the door. Larry watched her, expecting her to leave without another word, but just as she reached the entrance, her phone began ringing.
The name on the screen was DRE.
Everyone saw it.
Sharra froze, her hand hovering over the phone. Larry’s expression hardened as he stepped closer.
LARRY: “Answer it.”
SHARRA: “Larry, don’t do this.”
LARRY: “You said there was nothing to hide. Answer the phone and put it on speaker.”
Destiny looked anxiously between them, realizing that the situation was about to become even worse.
Sharra finally answered, but before she could say anything, Dre’s urgent voice came through the speaker.
DRE: “Sharra, where are you? I need you to come here right now. Something happened, and Larry cannot find out about it—not yet.”
Larry’s eyes widened.
LARRY: “What did you just say, Dre?”
Silence filled the room. Sharra stared at the phone in horror, while Destiny slowly turned toward Larry, knowing that the truth she had uncovered was only the beginning.
LARRY: “Dre, you’re on speaker. I’m standing right here, and you’re going to tell me exactly what happened.”
There was a long pause before Dre finally responded.
DRE: “Larry, listen to me. Whatever Sharra told you, you need to let her leave before you hear the rest of this.”
Larry’s face turned cold as he looked directly at Sharra.
LARRY: “Nobody is going anywhere until I find out what the two of you have been keeping from me.”
