As their meeting comes to an end, Chadwick decides to tell Shayla that he wants to see her again.

CHADWICK:

“Shayla, can I tell you something honestly? I didn’t expect to enjoy your company this much.”

SHAYLA:

“I have to admit, I’ve enjoyed meeting you too. You’re not quite what I expected.”

“Is that a good thing?”

SHAYLA:

“Maybe. You’ll have to meet me again to find out.”

Chadwick smiles, happy that she is willing to see him again. Before they part ways, he reveals his plan to visit her home.

“Tomorrow, I’d like to visit your house and speak to your mother.”

“My mother? Why?”

The next morning, Chadwick gets ready and heads to a jewellery store. He wants to make his visit to Shayla’s house unforgettable.

SALESPERSON:

“Good morning, sir. Are you looking for something particular?”

CHADWICK:

“Yes. I’m looking for a ring for someone very special.”

The salesperson shows him several beautiful rings. After examining them carefully, Chadwick chooses an elegant design.

CHADWICK:

“I’ll take this one. I think it’s perfect.”

After purchasing the ring, Chadwick visits a nearby flower shop and buys a beautiful bouquet. He returns to his car, takes a deep breath, and starts driving toward Shayla’s house.

“Today has to be special. I want her to understand that my intentions are serious.”

Chadwick Arrives at Shayla’s House

Angelina is sitting in the living room when she hears a knock at the front door. She opens it and finds Chadwick standing outside with a bouquet of flowers.

ANGELINA:

“Chadwick! What a surprise. Please, come inside.”

CHADWICK:

“Thank you, Angelina. I hope I’m not arriving at a bad time.”

ANGELINA:

“Not at all. It’s wonderful to see you. Is everything all right?”

CHADWICK:

“Everything is fine. Actually, I came here because there’s something important I’d like to discuss with you and Shayla.”

Angelina becomes curious and calls her daughter into the living room.

ANGELINA:

“Shayla! Come to the living room, please. We have a guest.”

Shayla enters the room and stops when she sees Chadwick holding flowers.

SHAYLA:

“Chadwick? What are you doing here?”

CHADWICK:

“I told you yesterday that I had something special planned. I hope you like these.”

SHAYLA:

“They’re beautiful. But you’re making me curious. What’s going on?”

The Unexpected Proposal

Chadwick looks toward Angelina before reaching into his pocket and taking out a small ring box. Shayla’s eyes widen as he opens it.

He kneels in front of her, holding the ring box in his hand. Shayla covers her mouth in surprise, unable to believe what is happening.

CHADWICK:

“Shayla, meeting you has made me realize that sometimes a person can enter your life unexpectedly and change the way you look at the future.”

He pauses for a moment, looking directly into her eyes.

CHADWICK:

“I know we still have a lot to learn about each other. But I want the chance to build something real with you. I want to respect you, support you, and make you happy.”

Shayla stares at him, overwhelmed by the unexpected gesture.

CHADWICK:

“So, Shayla, in front of your mother, I want to ask you something that means a lot to me. Will you accept my proposal and give us a chance to build a future together?”

The living room falls silent. Shayla looks at the ring and then at Chadwick, struggling to find the right words.

“Chadwick, I honestly don’t know what to say. I never expected you to do something like this.”

CHADWICK:

“You don’t have to say anything just because I’m standing here. I want your answer to come from your heart.”

Angelina watches Chadwick and Shayla with a satisfied smile. The plan she hoped would bring them closer appears to be working exactly as she wanted.

“Shayla, sweetheart, take your time and think about what you truly want.”

She turns toward Chadwick.

ANGELINA:

“And Chadwick, I appreciate that you’ve come here and spoken honestly about your intentions.”

CHADWICK:

“Thank you, Angelina. Your opinion matters to me. I wanted you to know that I’m serious about Shayla.”

Angelina is delighted. For her, the moment feels like a victory. However, she has no idea that an unexpected visitor is about to interrupt the occasion.

Anthony Makes a Shocking Discovery

At that very moment, Anthony arrives at Shayla’s house to pick up Kai. He approaches the front door, expecting an ordinary visit. Unaware of what is happening inside, he knocks and waits briefly.

When there is no immediate response, he tries the door and finds it open.

“Mind? I walk through the door, and I find a man proposing to Shayla in front of her mother. What exactly am I supposed to think?”
