HOOK – A SCREAM THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING
It was a normal day, but suddenly, a loud scream came from Bethany’s bedroom. Larry heard her voice and knew something was wrong. He quickly ran toward her room. He had no idea what he was about to see. When he opened the door, he became shocked and angry. What happened next would change everything.
SCENE 1 – BETHANY’S BEDROOM
Bethany was sitting on her bed in her pink shirt. Purnell was standing near her. At first, everything seemed normal, but suddenly, Purnell started acting strangely.
BETHANY:
“Purnell, what’s wrong with you? Why are you looking at me like that?”
PURNELL:
“Bethany, I need to talk to you. There is something I want to tell you.”
BETHANY:
“Okay, then tell me. What’s the problem?”
SCENE 2 – LARRY HEARS BETHANY
Larry was outside the room when he heard Bethany shouting. He stopped and looked toward her bedroom.
LARRY:
“Bethany? What’s happening?”
Then he heard her scream again. Larry became worried and quickly ran toward her room.
LARRY:
“BETHANY! I’M COMING! DON’T WORRY!”
SCENE 3 – LARRY SEES EVERYTHING
Larry stopped when he saw what was happening. Purnell was on top of Bethany, and she was trying to push him away.
BETHANY:
“LARRY! PLEASE HELP ME!”
LARRY:
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING? GET AWAY FROM HER!”
Larry pulled Purnell away from Bethany. She quickly moved to the other side of the bed.
SCENE 4 – LARRY GETS ANGRY
Purnell stood up and looked at Larry angrily.
PURNELL:
“Why did you come into this room? This is none of your business!”
LARRY:
“NONE OF MY BUSINESS? I HEARD HER SCREAMING FOR HELP!”
Purnell pushed Larry, and both men started fighting. Larry kept himself between Purnell and Bethany.
SCENE 5 – BETHANY IS CRYING
Bethany was sitting on the bed, crying. She couldn’t believe what had just happened.
LARRY:
“Bethany, are you okay?”
BETHANY:
“No, Larry. I was so scared. I kept telling him to stop, but he didn’t listen.”
LARRY:
“I’m sorry you had to go through this. You’re safe now.”
SCENE 6 – PURNELL TRIES TO LEAVE
Purnell slowly moved toward the bedroom door. Larry noticed him.
LARRY:
“Where are you going?”
PURNELL:
“I’m leaving. Move out of my way.”
LARRY:
“You’re not going anywhere until we get help.”
SCENE 7 – SOMEONE ARRIVES
A person was standing outside the bedroom. Larry turned toward the voice.
UNKNOWN PERSON:
“What is going on here?”
BETHANY:
“Please help me. Purnell tried to force himself on me.”
LARRY:
“I SAW EVERYTHING WITH MY OWN EYES!”
SCENE 8 – PURNELL TALKS ABOUT A SECRET
Purnell looked directly at Larry.
PURNELL:
“You think you know everything, Larry? You don’t know the truth about Bethany.”
LARRY:
“What are you talking about?”
PURNELL:
“Ask her what happened yesterday. Ask her who called her.”
Larry turned toward Bethany, waiting for an answer.
SCENE 9 – THE PHONE MESSAGE
Bethany slowly picked up her phone from the bed.
BETHANY:
“I didn’t want you to find out like this.”
Another notification suddenly appeared on her phone.
BETHANY:
“Oh my God!”
The message said: “YOU THINK PURNELL IS THE ONLY PERSON WHO KNOWS THE TRUTH?”
SCENE 10 – THE BIGGEST SHOCK
Suddenly, someone started walking toward the bedroom. Larry turned toward the hallway.
UNKNOWN PERSON:
“So, you finally found out the truth.”
LARRY:
“What are you doing here? And what is this message about?”
UNKNOWN PERSON:
“Larry, you should ask Purnell why he came here today. He wasn’t here by accident.”
Bethany slowly whispered:
BETHANY:
“Larry… we need to leave. Right now.”
