Larry Discovers Purnell’s Feelings for Jade

Jade stared at him in disbelief.

JADE: “Caring about me doesn’t give you the right to hurt someone. You cannot control my life or decide who I should talk to.”

Jade Stands Up Against Larry

Purnell slowly stood up, trying to recover from the confrontation. He looked at Jade and realized that Larry’s behavior had put her in an extremely difficult position.

PURNELL: “Jade, I don’t want you getting into trouble because of me. But I won’t accept being treated like this.”

Larry immediately turned toward him.

LARRY: “You should have thought about that before getting involved with her.”

JADE: “Larry, enough! This is exactly why I didn’t want you interfering in my personal life.”

Her words made Larry pause. He expected Jade to appreciate his actions, but instead, she was clearly disappointed in him.

LARRY: “So now you’re taking his side? After everything I’ve done?”

JADE: “This isn’t about taking sides. It’s about what you just did. Purnell didn’t deserve this.”

The atmosphere became tense. Purnell decided that arguing further would only make the situation worse. He told Jade that he needed some time away and began walking toward the door.

But Jade wasn’t ready to let him leave without knowing whether he was okay.

JADE: “Purnell, wait. Are you alright?”

PURNELL: “I’ll be fine. But I need you to understand something. I care about you, Jade, and I don’t want anyone deciding whether I can be part of your life.”

Jade nodded quietly. She understood exactly what he meant.

Larry Tries to Justify His Actions

After Purnell left, Larry tried to explain himself. He insisted that he had acted out of concern and believed he was protecting Jade from getting hurt.

LARRY: “I know you think I’m wrong, but I can see what’s happening. He’s getting closer to you, and I don’t trust his intentions.”

JADE: “You don’t even give him a chance. You just assume the worst about him.”

LARRY: “Because I know people like him.”

JADE: “Then get to know him before judging him. You can’t attack everyone who disagrees with you.”

Larry became silent. He had never imagined that Jade would challenge him so directly. He thought his actions would make her understand how much he cared, but they had only pushed her further away.

Jade looked at Purnell, who had also heard Larry’s words.

JADE: “What happened now?”

Larry paused before responding.

LARRY: “Just come home. And bring Purnell with you. This time, I want all of us to have a conversation.”

Jade ended the call and looked at Purnell. Neither of them knew what Larry was planning, but they both understood that the next meeting could change everything.
