A Message From The Past

INT. DAVE’S HOUSE – DAY

Dave is sitting comfortably on the couch, scrolling through his phone when a new message suddenly appears on his screen. He looks at the notification and notices that it is from Maria, his former girlfriend.

Dave, I want to meet you. I need to talk to you about something important. Can we meet somewhere alone?

Dave reads the message and immediately becomes uncomfortable. He takes a moment before deciding to respond.

Kindly, don’t contact me again. I’m married now, and I don’t have any relationship with you anymore. We broke up a long time ago. There is nothing left between us.

Maria becomes upset after reading his reply. However, she refuses to give up and immediately sends him another message.

Please, Dave. I’m begging you. Just meet me once. I promise I won’t disturb you again. I only want to talk to you for a few minutes.

Dave ignores her message at first, hoping she will eventually stop contacting him. But Maria continues sending messages, desperately asking for another chance to meet.

Please, just one last meeting. I really need to see you. You have no idea how important this is to me.

After receiving several messages, Dave finally takes a deep breath and agrees to meet her.

Fine. I’ll come and meet you once, but don’t expect anything from me. I just want to make one thing clear.

Maria looks relieved after receiving his reply. A small smile appears on her face as she realizes that Dave has finally agreed to meet her.

Maria’s Dangerous Proposal

INT. MARIA’S HOUSE – EVENING

Dave arrives at Maria’s house. Maria welcomes him and asks him to sit down. For a few moments, both remain silent. Then Maria finally begins talking about Amber.

Dave, I still love you. I know you are married to Amber, but I don’t think she is the right woman for you.

Dave looks at her with confusion, wondering why she has suddenly brought Amber into their conversation.

What are you talking about, Maria? Why have you called me here to discuss Amber?

You should leave Amber. She has already been involved with so many boys. First, she was with Anthony, then she was with Wayne. Who knows how many other ex-boyfriends she has had?

Dave becomes irritated by Maria’s comments. He cannot believe that she is trying to damage his opinion of his own wife.

That’s enough, Maria! You have no right to talk about Amber like that. Her past is none of your business. She is my wife, and I trust her.

Maria refuses to accept his answer. Instead, she moves closer and tries once again to convince him.

But Dave, I love you more than she ever could. Why can’t you understand my feelings? Leave Amber and marry me instead. I promise I’ll give you everything you want. Please, just say yes!

Dave shakes his head and looks directly at her.

Maria, listen carefully. Amber is everything to me. I love her, and I want to spend my entire life with her. No matter what happens, I will never consider having a relationship with you again, and I will never marry you.

Maria’s expression suddenly changes. Her sadness turns into anger, and her loving words are replaced by something much more frightening.

The Threat That Changed Everything

INT. MARIA’S HOUSE – CONTINUOUS

Maria stands up and walks towards Dave. Her voice becomes cold and threatening. Dave immediately notices the sudden change in her behavior.

If you refuse to marry me, I will make sure Amber never gets to live a peaceful life again. I can have her killed, Dave. You don’t even know how powerful my connections are.

Dave stares at her in disbelief. He never expected Maria to make such a terrible threat.

Maria, have you lost your mind? How can you even think about hurting someone who has done nothing to you?

I don’t care what you think. I want you, Dave, and if I cannot have you, nobody else will.

Suddenly, Maria reveals a gun and threatens Dave with it, holding it against the side of his head. Dave freezes in fear, realizing that the situation has become extremely dangerous.

I don’t want to hear another excuse. You have until tomorrow. You must marry me, or Amber will pay the price.

Maria, please put that weapon away. Don’t involve Amber in this. She has nothing to do with our past.

Tomorrow. That’s your final chance.

Dave realizes that Maria is serious about her threats. He knows that Amber could be in danger if he refuses to do what Maria demands.

For the first time, Dave feels completely helpless. He has to make a decision, but either choice could change his life forever.

A Night Filled With Fear

INT. DAVE’S BEDROOM – NIGHT

Dave returns home, but his mind is completely occupied by Maria’s threats. He sits alone, thinking about everything that happened at Maria’s house.

He knows that he loves Amber and has absolutely no desire to marry Maria. However, the thought that Maria might actually harm his wife fills him with fear.

What am I supposed to do now? I cannot imagine losing Amber. Maria is capable of doing something terrible. If anything happens to Amber because of me, I will never forgive myself.

Dave looks at his wedding photograph with Amber. His eyes fill with emotion as he remembers the promises they made to each other.

Amber means everything to me. I have to protect her, even if I have to make the most difficult decision of my life.

He remains silent for a long time, struggling between his love for Amber and his fear of Maria’s threats.

Finally, after thinking through every possible consequence, Dave reluctantly decides to agree to Maria’s demand. He believes that marrying Maria might be the only way to keep Amber safe.

But he has no idea that this decision will soon destroy the relationship he is desperately trying to protect.

The Wedding He Never Wanted

INT. MARIA’S HOUSE – NEXT MORNING

The following morning, Dave arrives at Maria’s house. Maria is already dressed and waiting for him. As soon as she sees him, a happy smile appears on her face.

So, Dave, have you finally made your decision?

Dave looks down, unable to hide his sadness. He knows that the words he is about to say will change everything.

Fine, Maria. I’ll marry you. But remember, I’m only doing this because of your threats against Amber.

Maria ignores his words and smiles happily, believing that she has finally achieved what she wanted.

I knew you would eventually understand my love. Now nothing can separate us.

Dave says nothing. His expression makes it clear that he is not happy about the decision.

EXT. CHURCH – DAY

The church is beautifully decorated. Guests are seated, and the wedding ceremony is about to begin.

Dave stands beside Maria, looking completely uncomfortable. Maria, on the other hand, appears delighted. She holds his hand while waiting for the ceremony to continue.

We are gathered here today to witness the marriage of Dave and Maria.

Dave remains silent, staring towards the floor. His mind is somewhere else entirely. Although he is standing at the altar, his heart is still with Amber.

Maria looks at him with excitement, unaware that the biggest interruption of her life is just moments away.

Amber Walks Into The Wedding

INT. AMBER’S HOUSE – DAY

Amber receives a message from Maria. She opens it and discovers that Dave and Maria are getting married at the church.

Maria has deliberately informed Amber because she wants her to witness the wedding with her own eyes.

Amber cannot believe what she is reading. She looks at the message again, hoping that there has been some kind of mistake.

What? Dave and Maria are getting married? How is this even possible?

Without wasting another moment, Amber grabs her belongings and rushes towards the church. Her mind is filled with questions. She cannot understand why Dave would suddenly marry Maria without telling her.

INT. CHURCH – CONTINUOUS

The priest is about to continue the wedding ceremony. Dave and Maria are still standing together near the altar.

Dave, do you take Maria to be your lawfully wedded wife?

Before Dave can respond, the church doors suddenly open.

Amber enters.

Everyone turns towards her. She looks at Dave and Maria standing together near the altar. Her eyes widen in complete shock.

STOP! What is happening here?

The entire church falls silent.

Dave turns around and sees Amber standing at the entrance. His expression changes immediately.

Amber…

Amber walks towards them, struggling to control her emotions.

Dave, how could you do this to me? Why are you standing here with Maria? Are you really getting married to her?

Maria watches Amber with a confident expression, as though she has already won.

Yes, Amber. Dave is marrying me. You should accept the truth and leave us alone.

Amber immediately turns towards Maria.

You stay out of this! I want to hear the truth from Dave. Dave, tell me what’s going on!

Dave struggles to find the right words. He looks at Amber, then briefly glances at Maria.

Amber, please. You don’t understand what happened.

Then explain it to me! Why are you marrying her?

Dave looks at Maria, then turns back towards Amber. He remains silent, unable to explain everything in front of the guests.

The priest steps back as the ceremony comes to an unexpected halt. Everyone waits to hear the truth.

The Final Goodbye

INT. CHURCH – CONTINUOUS

Amber looks at Dave with disappointment and heartbreak. The man she trusted is standing in front of her, dressed for a wedding with another woman.

I trusted you, Dave. I believed that you loved me and wanted to spend your life with me. But today, everything has changed.

Dave takes a step towards her, desperately trying to explain himself.

Amber, please listen to me. Things are not what they look like. I never wanted any of this to happen.

Then why didn’t you tell me the truth? Why did you let me find out about your wedding like this?

Dave lowers his head. He finally decides to reveal the reason behind his shocking decision.

I was trying to protect you. Maria threatened to hurt you if I refused to marry her. I never wanted to leave you.

Amber becomes even more emotional after hearing his explanation. She realizes that Maria has threatened Dave, but she cannot understand why he kept everything hidden from her.

You should have told me, Dave. We could have faced this situation together. You made such a huge decision without giving me a chance to understand what was happening.

Dave looks at her desperately, hoping she will understand his situation.

Amber, I love you. Please don’t leave me. I never wanted to marry Maria.

Amber takes a step backwards. Her expression becomes serious as she makes a decision that Dave never expected.

I’m sorry, Dave, but I cannot continue this relationship anymore. I cannot marry someone whose life is still connected to another woman in such a complicated way. I release you from this relationship. From today onwards, I want to move on with my life.

Amber, please! Don’t end everything like this.

It’s already over, Dave. I need to walk away.

She turns around and slowly walks towards the church doors. Dave watches her leave, completely devastated. He wants to stop her, but he knows that his actions have already caused too much pain.

Maria remains standing beside him, but the happiness she expected from this wedding is nowhere to be seen.

The wedding ceremony has been stopped, and Amber and Dave’s relationship has finally come to an end.

The church falls silent as Amber disappears through the doors. Dave stands frozen near the altar, realizing that the woman he wanted to protect is now the woman he has lost.

But one question remains unanswered: Will Maria finally be satisfied after destroying Dave and Amber’s relationship, or does she have another plan waiting?
