Anthony, Amber, and D’Nisha’s Unexpected News
Anthony sat across from Amber in a quiet restaurant. Amber looked serious as she tried to explain why she wanted his help.
“Anthony, I need you to understand something. I’m asking you for thirty percent of your wealth.”
Anthony stared at her in disbelief.
“Thirty percent?”
“Yes,” Amber replied. “I know it sounds like a lot, but I have my reasons. I’m not asking you for a small favor.”
Anthony leaned back in his chair.
“Amber, thirty percent of my wealth is a huge amount. I can’t just agree to something like that without thinking about it.”
Amber folded her arms.
“But you have enough to help me, Anthony.”
“That doesn’t mean I should give away thirty percent of everything I have,” Anthony replied.
Amber lowered her voice.
“I thought you cared about me.”
“I do care about you,” Anthony said. “But caring about someone doesn’t mean making a financial decision this big without considering the consequences.”
Neither of them noticed D’Nisha entering the restaurant.
D’Nisha had come to meet Anthony. She was expecting to spend some time with him, but the moment she saw him sitting with Amber, she stopped.
Then she heard Amber say:
“Just give me thirty percent, Anthony.”
D’Nisha’s expression immediately changed.
“Anthony?”
Anthony looked up.
“D’Nisha!”
Amber became silent.
D’Nisha walked toward the table.
“What is going on?”
Anthony immediately stood up.
“D’Nisha, please let me explain.”
“Explain what?” she asked angrily. “I just heard Amber asking you for thirty percent of your wealth.”
Amber looked at D’Nisha.
“We were having a private conversation.”
D’Nisha looked at Anthony.
“And you were actually considering it?”
Anthony shook his head.
“I never said I was giving it to her. We were discussing it.”
D’Nisha’s voice became emotional.
“Why are you even discussing giving Amber thirty percent of your wealth?”
“Because she asked me, and I wanted to hear her reasons before making any decision.”
D’Nisha looked hurt.
“You should have thought about how this would affect me.”
Anthony stepped closer.
“D’Nisha, you are misunderstanding the situation.”
“No, Anthony. I walked in and heard another woman asking you for thirty percent of everything you have.”
Amber stood up.
“I didn’t come here to cause problems.”
D’Nisha looked at her.
“Then why are you asking my husband for thirty percent of his wealth?”
Amber had no immediate answer.
Anthony stepped between them.
“Enough. Nobody is going to argue.”
D’Nisha took a deep breath, but she suddenly looked dizzy.
Anthony noticed immediately.
“D’Nisha, are you okay?”
She put a hand against the table.
“I… I don’t feel right.”
Anthony reached for her.
“Sit down.”
“I’m fine,” D’Nisha whispered.
But before Anthony could help her, D’Nisha suddenly collapsed.
“D’Nisha!”
Anthony caught her and immediately called for medical help.
Amber stood frozen, shocked by what had happened.
Anthony stayed beside D’Nisha until help arrived. At the hospital, he paced nervously outside the examination room.
“Please let her be okay.”
After several anxious minutes, the doctor finally came out.
Anthony rushed toward him.
“Doctor, how is she?”
“She is stable,” the doctor said. “But there is something else you should know.”
Anthony looked worried.
“What is it?”
The doctor smiled.
“Congratulations. D’Nisha is pregnant.”
Anthony froze.
“Pregnant?”
“Yes. The tests confirmed it.”
A huge smile appeared on Anthony’s face.
“We’re having a baby?”
“Yes.”
Anthony’s eyes filled with happiness.
“Thank you, Doctor.”
He immediately went into D’Nisha’s room.
D’Nisha looked worried when she saw him.
“What happened?”
Anthony sat beside her and held her hand.
“D’Nisha, we’re going to have a baby.”
D’Nisha stared at him.
“What?”
“You’re pregnant.”
Her eyes filled with tears.
“Anthony… are you serious?”
“I’ve never been more serious.”
D’Nisha smiled through her tears.
“I’m so happy.”
Anthony smiled and held her hand.
“So am I.”
D’Nisha quietly asked,
“What about Amber?”
Anthony’s expression became serious.
“I made my decision.”
D’Nisha looked at him.
“What decision?”
“I’m not giving Amber thirty percent of my wealth.”
D’Nisha remained silent.
“After everything that happened today, I realized that I need to protect our family and our future. I was never going to make a decision like that without thinking about you.”
D’Nisha squeezed his hand.
“I don’t want money to come between us.”
“It won’t,” Anthony promised.
He looked at D’Nisha and smiled.
“Our baby is the most important thing to me now.”
D’Nisha smiled.
“I’m happy, Anthony.”
“So am I.”
Outside the hospital room, Amber was still there. She had come to check on D’Nisha after the incident.
But when she heard Anthony say that he would not give her thirty percent of his wealth, her expression changed.
She quietly walked away.
Anthony had made his decision.
But Amber wasn’t ready to accept it.
As she left the hospital, she looked down at the papers in her hand and whispered,
“This isn’t over.”
Inside the room, Anthony and D’Nisha were celebrating the news that would change their lives forever.
Neither of them knew that Amber was already thinking about her next move.
