Larry’s Decision
Larry had been unusually quiet for weeks. Bethany could feel that something had changed, but every time she asked him what was wrong, he avoided the question.
One evening, Larry walked into the living room holding his phone. He looked serious.
“Bethany, I need to tell you something,” he said.
Bethany looked up. “What happened?”
Larry took a deep breath. “I’ve made a decision. I think we should get a divorce.”
Bethany froze.
“A divorce? What are you talking about?”
“I’ve met someone else,” Larry admitted. “I care about her, and I’ve decided that I want to marry her.”
Bethany stared at him in disbelief.
“You already found another woman?”
Larry nodded. “Yes. And I’m not changing my mind.”
Bethany became furious.
“So all these years meant nothing to you?”
“That’s not what I said,” Larry replied. “But I’ve made my choice.”
Bethany walked away, refusing to continue the conversation. She thought Larry was simply threatening her with divorce. She had no idea that Larry had already taken things much further.
The Secret Meeting
The next morning, Larry secretly met the woman he wanted to marry. He had already arranged everything for a private wedding.
“You’re sure about this?” the woman asked nervously.
Larry smiled. “I’ve never been more sure.”
They quietly went through with the marriage, keeping it hidden from Bethany.
Bethany Discovers the Truth
But their secret did not stay hidden for long.
A few days later, Bethany discovered a message on Larry’s phone. Her eyes widened when she realized what had happened.
“He actually married her?” Bethany whispered.
She immediately confronted Larry.
“You lied to me!”
Larry looked at her calmly. “What are you talking about?”
“You know exactly what I’m talking about! You secretly married another woman!”
Larry remained silent.
“How could you do this without even telling me?”
Larry finally said, “I told you I wanted a divorce.”
“You said you wanted a divorce. You never told me you were already getting married!”
Larry sighed. “I knew you would try to stop me.”
“Of course I’m going to stop you!” Bethany shouted. “You think I’m just going to stand here and watch you destroy everything?”
Larry shook his head. “Bethany, the decision has already been made.”
Bethany Tries to Stop the Wedding
Bethany refused to accept it.
She followed Larry to the place where the woman was waiting. When she arrived, she immediately walked toward them.
“Larry! This wedding is not happening!”
The woman looked shocked.
Larry stepped forward. “Bethany, stop.”
“No!” Bethany yelled. “You are still married to me!”
Larry looked directly into her eyes. “I know.”
“Then how can you stand here and act like this is normal?”
Larry answered firmly, “Because I’m going to divorce you.”
Bethany’s eyes filled with anger.
“You really think you can just replace me?”
Larry shook his head. “This isn’t about replacing you. It’s about me choosing a different life.”
Bethany pointed toward the woman. “You barely know her!”
Larry replied, “I know enough.”
Larry Makes His Final Choice
Bethany stepped closer. “Larry, come home with me. We can fix this.”
For a moment, Larry said nothing.
Then he quietly replied, “No.”
Bethany looked stunned.
Larry continued, “Do whatever you want. Say whatever you want. But I’m going to divorce you and marry her.”
Bethany stared at him, realizing that he had already made up his mind.
“You’re really doing this?”
Larry nodded. “Yes.”
Bethany turned toward the other woman.
“This isn’t over.”
The woman nervously looked at Larry.
Larry simply took her hand and said, “Let’s go.”
Bethany watched them walk away, furious and heartbroken.
But what Bethany didn’t know was that Larry’s new marriage was about to reveal a secret that could change everything.
