INT. LIVING ROOM – MORNING

Bethany paces restlessly, sensing something is wrong.
Larry is gone, Brooke is silent, and Greg hasn’t been home in days.
A storm hangs in the air — and Bethany feels it closing in.

Destiny enters, nervous.

DESTINY
(soft, avoiding eye contact)
Um… Bethany… Greg came to the house yesterday.

Bethany freezes mid-step, eyes sharp.

BETHANY
Greg? Here? Why?

Destiny realizes she has stepped into danger.

DESTINY
He… he came to talk to Brooke.

Bethany’s face shifts instantly — shock, anger, betrayal.
She storms toward Brooke’s room.

INT. BROOKE’S ROOM – CONTINUOUS

Brooke looks up from her bed, surprised.

BROOKE
Bethany…?

BETHANY
(voice trembling with fury)
Why was Greg in this house talking to you?!

Brooke exhales. No point hiding now.

BROOKE
He asked me if I would testify in court. Against you.

Silence.
A deadly, suffocating silence.

Bethany’s shock turns to fire.

BETHANY
And what did you tell him?

BROOKE
I said I needed time to think.

Bethany erupts.

BETHANY
So that snake walked into MY house… to turn YOU against ME?!

Brooke tries to calm her.

BROOKE
Bethany, listen—

BETHANY
DON’T tell me to calm down!
Greg wants to destroy me, and you— YOU— are letting him!

BROOKE
(firm)
I didn’t let him do anything. I just listened.

Bethany steps closer, voice low and dangerous.

BETHANY
If you testify against me… remember this, Brooke.
I will NOT spare you.

Brooke stiffens.

BROOKE
Are you threatening me?

BETHANY
Call it whatever you want — warning, threat, promise.
If you become a witness against me, you destroy my home, my trust… everything.

Brooke softens slightly.

BROOKE
I’m not trying to ruin your life. Greg said he has proof—

BETHANY
(bitter laugh)
Proof? Greg is the king of lies! And you believe him?!

Brooke stays silent.
That silence burns Bethany even more.

BETHANY
(slow, dangerous)
So you are considering it.
You actually think he’s telling the truth.

BROOKE
It’s not about taking sides—

BETHANY
No! It IS about sides!
And if you go against me… pack your bags.

Brooke’s eyes widen.

BROOKE
What?

BETHANY
(cold, final)
If you testify against me, you won’t live in this house for even a minute.
I’ll throw you out. Permanently.

Brooke stands, matching her intensity.

BROOKE
You act like I betrayed you.

BETHANY
Because you DID.

BROOKE
He only asked a question. I didn’t agree to anything.

BETHANY
But you were THINKING about it!

BROOKE
Yes! Because this affects all of us — the case, the drama, the threats… none of us feel safe!

Bethany steps in closer.

BETHANY
Safe? You’re making ME unsafe!
Greg wants to bring me down — and you’re ready to become his weapon.

BROOKE
(fearless)
I’m no one’s weapon.
And I’m not scared of you.

Bethany didn’t expect that.
They stare each other down like two storms ready to collide.

Finally, Bethany speaks — quiet, venomous.

BETHANY
Remember one thing, Brooke…
If you go against me in court, I will make your life impossible.
You will walk out of this house, and you will never come back.

Brooke doesn’t flinch.

BROOKE
If I testify, it will be because it’s the right thing to do.
Not because of Greg.
And definitely not because of fear.

Bethany’s fists tighten.

BETHANY

Try me, Brooke.
Just try me.
