LARRY DISCOVERS SHARRA AND DRE TOGETHER AT THE AIRPORT

EXT. CITY AIRPORT – LATE AFTERNOON

Golden sunlight stretches across the busy airport entrance.

Cars pull up and drive away.

Travelers rush through the automatic doors, carrying suitcases and bags.

LARRY parks his car near the arrivals area.

He checks his phone.

A message from BROOKE is on the screen.

He looks at it and smiles faintly.

LARRY

Brooke should be here any minute.

Larry steps out of the car.

He looks toward the airport entrance, waiting for his daughter.

Then something catches his attention.

Across the street, two familiar figures walk out of a side entrance.

Larry freezes.

His smile disappears.

It is SHARRA.

And beside her is DRE.

Larry stares at them.

His expression changes from confusion to disbelief.

LARRY

What…?

Sharra and Dre continue walking toward the parking area.

Neither of them notices Larry at first.

Larry takes a few steps toward them.

His eyes remain fixed on the two.

LARRY

Sharra!

Sharra suddenly stops.

Dre turns around.

Both of them see Larry standing several feet away.

Sharra’s face goes pale.

Dre looks uncomfortable.

Larry slowly walks closer.

LARRY

What are you two doing here?

SHARRA

Larry, calm down.

Larry lets out a short, disbelieving laugh.

LARRY

Calm down?

I’m here to pick up Brooke, and I find you walking out of the airport with Dre?

DRE

Larry, you need to hear us out.

LARRY

I wasn’t talking to you.

Dre pauses.

Sharra steps between them.

SHARRA

Larry, nothing is happening.

LARRY

Then explain why you’re together.

Sharra looks away for a moment.

Larry notices.

His suspicion grows.

LARRY

That’s what I thought.

SHARRA

You’re making this into something it isn’t.

LARRY

Then tell me what it is!

People nearby begin glancing toward them.

Sharra lowers her voice.

SHARRA

We had something to take care of.

LARRY

At the airport?

SHARRA

Yes.

LARRY

Together?

Sharra hesitates.

Larry shakes his head.

LARRY

This doesn’t make any sense.

DRE

There are things you don’t know.

LARRY

Then tell me.

Dre remains silent.

Larry waits.

Nothing.

LARRY

Exactly.

Sharra becomes frustrated.

SHARRA

Larry, stop acting like I’m doing something wrong.

LARRY

Then why didn’t you tell me you were coming here?

SHARRA

Because I knew you’d react exactly like this!

Larry’s expression hardens.

LARRY

Maybe I’m reacting this way because you’re giving me reasons to ask questions.

Sharra folds her arms.

SHARRA

You always assume the worst about me.

LARRY

And you always seem to have an explanation after I discover something myself.

Dre looks between them.

DRE

This isn’t the place for this conversation.

LARRY

Then where is the place?

Dre says nothing.

Larry looks at Sharra again.

LARRY

Did you come here to meet him?

Sharra takes a moment before answering.

SHARRA

I came here because I needed to talk to Dre.

Larry’s eyes widen.

LARRY

So you admit it.

SHARRA

I never said I was hiding anything.

LARRY

You didn’t tell me!

Sharra’s voice rises.

SHARRA

Because I knew you would turn it into a huge argument!

Larry takes a breath, trying to control his frustration.

LARRY

You should have told me.

SHARRA

Why?

Larry looks at her, stunned.

LARRY

Because I trusted you.

That sentence silences Sharra.

Dre looks down.

For a moment, the noise of the airport seems distant.

Then Larry’s phone rings.

He checks the screen.

BROOKE.

Larry answers immediately.

LARRY

Hey, Brooke.

INT. AIRPORT – ARRIVALS AREA

Brooke stands near the baggage area with her suitcase.

She looks around.

BROOKE

Dad, where are you?

Larry looks at Sharra and Dre.

LARRY

I’m outside.

BROOKE

I’m coming out now.

Larry ends the call.

He turns back toward Sharra.

LARRY

We’re not finished talking.

SHARRA

Larry—

LARRY

No.

I want the truth.

Dre finally steps forward.

DRE

Larry, Sharra didn’t do anything wrong.

LARRY

Then you shouldn’t have a problem explaining why you were together.

Dre takes a breath.

DRE

She came because I asked her to.

Larry looks at Sharra.

LARRY

Why?

Sharra hesitates again.

SHARRA

Dre needed help with something.

LARRY

What kind of help?

Dre answers carefully.

DRE

Something personal.

Larry shakes his head.

LARRY

That’s not an answer.

Sharra becomes emotional.

SHARRA

Not everything is about you, Larry!

Larry stares at her.

LARRY

I never said everything was about me.

SHARRA

Then stop interrogating me!

LARRY

I’m asking questions because this situation looks suspicious!

Their argument grows louder.

A few travelers slow down to watch.

Brooke exits the airport and immediately notices the commotion.

She stops.

Her eyes widen when she sees her father, Sharra, and Dre together.

BROOKE

Dad?

Larry turns.

His expression changes when he sees Brooke.

LARRY

Brooke.

She walks toward them.

BROOKE

What’s going on?

Larry looks at Sharra.

Sharra looks away.

Dre remains silent.

Brooke realizes something serious has happened.

BROOKE

Why are you guys fighting?

Larry takes a breath.

LARRY

I came here to pick you up.

And I found them leaving the airport together.

Brooke looks at Sharra.

BROOKE

Sharra?

Sharra sighs.

SHARRA

It’s not what everyone thinks.

Brooke looks at Dre.

BROOKE

Then what is it?

Dre doesn’t answer.

Brooke looks back at her father.

BROOKE

Dad, maybe you should let them explain.

Larry nods slowly.

LARRY

Fine.

Explain.

Sharra takes a deep breath.

SHARRA

I came here because Dre asked me to meet him.

Larry waits.

SHARRA

But nothing happened between us.

Larry studies her face.

LARRY

Then why keep it from me?

Sharra’s eyes become emotional.

SHARRA

Because I knew you wouldn’t trust me.

Larry’s expression softens slightly.

But the tension remains.

LARRY

Trust isn’t something you demand, Sharra.

It’s something you build.

Sharra looks down.

Dre quietly steps back.

Brooke watches both of them.

The airport continues moving around them, but the three adults remain locked in an uncomfortable silence.

Finally, Larry picks up Brooke’s suitcase.

LARRY

Let’s go.

Brooke follows him.

Before leaving, Larry turns back one last time.

LARRY

We’ll finish this conversation later.

Sharra nods.

Larry and Brooke walk toward the car.

Dre looks at Sharra.

DRE

I didn’t mean for this to happen.

Sharra watches Larry’s car.

SHARRA

Neither did I.

The car pulls away.

Sharra remains standing beside Dre.

Her expression is filled with worry.

She knows this confrontation has changed everything.

FADE OUT.
