Bethany’s Mission in Chicago”
iNT. DESTINY’S HOUSE – DAY
Bethany arrives in Chicago with Brooke and heads straight to Destiny’s house. After settling into the hotel and resting, she’s ready for the task at hand. She knows she needs to talk some sense into Destiny about the gang, to steer her away from danger.
INT. LIVING ROOM – DAY
Destiny lounges on the couch, scrolling through her phone. She’s relaxed, unaware of the storm coming. Bethany walks in, taking a deep breath to steady herself.

BETHANY
(soft, firm)
Destiny, we need to talk.
Destiny looks up, still nonchalant, but her expression sharpens when she sees Bethany’s serious face.
BETHANY
I don’t want you joining the gang. It’s dangerous, and at your age, you shouldn’t be involved in this stuff. You have so much potential—don’t throw it away.
Destiny’s face hardens. She’s not in the mood for lectures—especially not from Bethany.
DESTINY
(flat)
Bethany… don’t interfere in my business. I know what I’m doing, and I don’t need anyone telling me how to live my life.
Bethany pauses, sensing the rising tension. She shifts, trying a different angle.
BETHANY
I get it, Destiny, but you have to think about your future. This isn’t the path for you. I’m just trying to protect you.
Destiny’s voice cuts through the room, sharper than before.
DESTINY
Protect me? Mind your own business, Bethany. Stay out of my affairs. I have no obligation to you, no matter what you think.
And don’t forget—I’m not Brooke, so I’m not going to just follow your orders.
Bethany takes a step back, momentarily taken aback by Destiny’s intensity. Her words sting, but she knows she can’t back down.
BETHANY
(softly)
I’m not trying to control you. I just care about you. I’ve seen where this path can lead. I don’t want to see you get hurt. Or worse.
For just a brief moment, Destiny’s gaze softens, but her resolve is unshaken.
DESTINY
(soft, but firm)
I appreciate that, maybe, but you have to understand… I make my own choices.
And if I decide to join the gang, that’s my decision. No one gets to dictate my life.
Bethany sighs, defeated for a moment, but she’s not ready to give up.
BETHANY
(slow, understanding)
I guess you’re right… I can’t force you.
But promise me one thing—be smart. Think about the consequences before you act. You’re stronger than this, Destiny.
Destiny leans back, crossing her arms, and smirks a little.
DESTINY
(smirking)
Fine, Bethany. I’ll think about what you said, but don’t expect me to follow your lead.
I live my life on my terms, got it?
Bethany nods, her frustration tempered with respect.
BETHANY
Alright… I guess that’s all I can ask for.
Just… stay safe, okay?
Destiny waves her off, wanting to move on.
DESTINY
(rolling her eyes)
I said I’ll think about it. That’s enough for now.
Now, maybe you can relax, because I’ve got my own stuff to handle.
Bethany smiles faintly, knowing the conversation hasn’t been perfect—but it’s a start. She planted a seed of caution in Destiny’s mind. Sometimes, that’s all she can do.
EXT. DESTINY’S HOUSE – DAY
Bethany steps outside, glancing back at the house. Her heart is a mix of relief and concern. Destiny is strong-willed and fiery, and that’s both her greatest strength and her biggest challenge.
Bethany knows this isn’t over. But she also knows she won’t give up on Destiny.
INT. LIVING ROOM – DAY
Destiny sits back, shaking her head with a small grin.
DESTINY
(to herself)
Bethany thinks she’s in charge…
She’s cute, though. But I make my own rules.
She laughs softly to herself, the tension between her and Bethany still unresolved—but something has shifted. Destiny may not agree with Bethany’s advice, but she knows there are people out there who care for her. No matter what.
The day ends with a sense of cautious truce between them.
Bethany has planted a seed of caution, and Destiny has shown her that, even though she’s resistant to advice, there are those who genuinely care.
Both women are strong, both are determined, and both are unwilling to back down.
Chicago may have been the backdrop for their clash, but the real story is the bond between them—one that will be tested, challenged, and ultimately strengthened in the days to come.
