💔 DESTINY’S DESPERATE ESCAPE ✈️
BROOKE, PLEASE COME TAKE ME AWAY!

A CINEMATIC SCREENPLAY

📱 SCENE 1 — DESTINY’S BEDROOM — EVENING

The room is quiet, but Destiny’s heart is heavy. She sits on the edge of her bed, holding her phone as memories of her arguments with Larry and Bethany replay in her mind.

Destiny has tried to explain her feelings several times, but every conversation seems to turn into another disagreement. She feels unheard, frustrated, and increasingly desperate for a peaceful environment.

She opens Brooke’s contact. Her finger pauses over the call button. Brooke is the person she believes will listen without immediately judging her.

Finally, Destiny presses the button. The phone rings. After several seconds, Brooke answers.

DESTINY Brooke, please tell me you can talk. I really need you right now. I can’t keep everything bottled up anymore.
BROOKE Destiny? What’s wrong? Your voice sounds different. Did something happen at home?
DESTINY Larry and Bethany have been making my life so difficult. They keep questioning me and making me feel like everything I do is wrong. I’m tired of arguing every single day.

Brooke sits up immediately. She can hear the sadness in Destiny’s voice and realizes this is more serious than an ordinary disagreement.

BROOKE Slow down and tell me what happened. I want to understand everything before we decide what to do.
DESTINY I’ve tried talking to them. Every time I explain myself, the conversation becomes another argument. I don’t feel comfortable here anymore, Brooke. I need some space.

Destiny wipes her eyes and takes a shaky breath. She has spent hours wondering whom she could call. Now that Brooke is listening, she finally says what she has been afraid to admit.

DESTINY Please come and get me. I want to leave and stay with you for a while. I need someone who understands me. Please don’t say no.
BROOKE Destiny, listen carefully. You matter to me, and I’m glad you called. We can discuss you staying with me, but let’s make a proper plan first. You don’t have to face this situation alone.
DESTINY You really mean that? You’ll come to meet me?
BROOKE Yes. Send me your arrival details, and I’ll arrange to meet you at the airport. We’ll talk calmly and figure out the next steps together.

Destiny closes her eyes and breathes out slowly. Her problems have not disappeared, but she finally feels that someone has heard her.

🌃 SCENE 2 — BROOKE’S APARTMENT — NIGHT

Brooke stands beside the living-room window, looking at the city lights. She keeps thinking about Destiny’s desperate request.

Brooke cares about Destiny, but she understands that offering someone a place to stay involves more than simply saying yes. She needs to consider transport, accommodation, and how they will handle the family conflict that may follow.

She calls Destiny again to make sure they understand each other.

BROOKE I want to help you, Destiny, but I need us to make sensible decisions. If you stay with me, we’ll discuss the arrangements and what you want to do about everything at home.
DESTINY I understand. I’m not expecting you to fix my whole life. I just want a chance to breathe without feeling that another argument is waiting around every corner.
BROOKE That’s fair. You deserve to be listened to, and we can work through this one step at a time. I don’t want either of us making decisions out of anger.
DESTINY I promise I’ll try to stay calm. I just need you to understand how much this has affected me.
BROOKE I hear you. Send me the details as soon as they’re confirmed. I’ll make sure I have enough time to reach the airport.

After ending the call, Brooke checks her schedule and arranges transportation. She knows that welcoming Destiny may bring new challenges, but she is determined to approach them thoughtfully.

🏠 SCENE 3 — LARRY AND BETHANY’S HOUSE — MORNING

The following morning, Destiny enters the kitchen carrying a small travel bag. Larry sits at the table with his phone, while Bethany prepares breakfast.

Bethany notices the bag and immediately stops what she is doing.

BETHANY Destiny, why are you carrying a travel bag? Where exactly are you planning to go?
DESTINY I’m going to stay with Brooke for a while. I’ve spoken to her, and she’s agreed to meet me.

Larry puts his phone down. His expression changes from confusion to frustration.

LARRY You’re leaving? And when were you planning to discuss this with us?
DESTINY I’m telling you now. I need some space because the arguments are affecting me. I don’t want another morning to turn into a fight.
BETHANY So you called Brooke behind our backs and made arrangements without even giving us a chance to speak?
DESTINY I have tried speaking to you. But whenever I tell you how I feel, I end up defending myself instead of being understood.

Larry pushes his chair back and stands. He looks toward Destiny, struggling to keep his frustration under control.

LARRY Destiny, you can’t expect us to accept a decision like this without asking questions.
DESTINY You can ask questions, Larry. But please listen to my answers instead of turning everything into an argument.
BETHANY And what happens if you disagree with Brooke? Are you going to leave her house as well?
DESTINY I don’t know what will happen in the future. I only know that I need some time away from this situation. I’m not doing this to punish either of you.

A heavy silence settles over the kitchen. Bethany looks away, while Larry struggles to find an answer.

DESTINY I’ll let you know when I arrive safely. I hope that one day we can talk about all of this without hurting each other.

Destiny picks up her bag and walks toward the door. Larry watches her leave, realizing that the situation has become more serious than he expected.

✈️ SCENE 4 — UNITED STATES AIRPORT — ARRIVALS

The airport is filled with travelers, rolling suitcases, announcements, and families waiting near the arrivals area.

Brooke stands near the entrance, checking her phone. She looks toward the doors every few seconds, wondering whether Destiny has arrived.

Suddenly, her phone vibrates.

DESTINY — TEXT MESSAGE Brooke, I’ve arrived. I’m coming out now. Where are you standing?

Brooke quickly replies and looks toward the arrivals doors. A moment later, she recognizes Destiny walking through the crowd with her travel bag.

Destiny scans the waiting area. When she sees Brooke, her worried expression softens.

DESTINY Brooke!

Destiny walks quickly toward her. Brooke opens her arms, and the two share a long, emotional hug. For several seconds, neither knows what to say.

BROOKE Hey, I’m here. You made it safely.
DESTINY I was so worried that something might happen and you wouldn’t be able to come.
BROOKE I told you I would meet you. Now let’s get your bag and find somewhere quiet to talk.

Brooke takes Destiny’s bag. Destiny looks around the busy terminal and then back at Brooke. The journey has been emotionally exhausting, and she is still trying to process everything that happened at home.

BROOKE Tell me honestly. How are you feeling right now?
DESTINY I’m relieved to see you, but I’m still upset. I keep thinking about Larry and Bethany. Part of me feels guilty for leaving, even though I felt I needed some distance.
BROOKE You can care about your family and still need some space. Those two things can both be true. We don’t have to settle every disagreement today.
DESTINY I just want to wake up without worrying about another argument. I want to feel like my feelings matter to somebody.
BROOKE Your feelings do matter. Let’s get you settled, get something to eat, and talk when you’re ready. We can decide what comes next together.

Destiny nods. Brooke places a comforting arm around her shoulders, and they begin walking through the airport together.

🚗 SCENE 5 — AIRPORT PARKING AREA — AFTERNOON

Brooke and Destiny reach the parking area. Brooke opens the trunk and carefully places Destiny’s bag inside.

Before getting into the car, Destiny pauses. She looks at Brooke with gratitude and a little uncertainty.

DESTINY Thank you for coming all this way to meet me. I know this is a lot to take on, and I don’t expect you to solve all my problems.
BROOKE You don’t have to apologize for asking for support. We’ll take things one step at a time. But we need to communicate honestly and make a plan that works for both of us.
DESTINY I can do that. I just hope Larry and Bethany eventually understand why I needed to leave.
BROOKE They may need time to understand your decision. We don’t have to make the situation worse by arguing with them right now. When everyone is calmer, we can decide how to talk to them.

Destiny gives Brooke another hug before getting into the passenger seat. Brooke closes the trunk and walks around to the driver’s side.

The engine starts. As they leave the airport, Destiny looks through the window at the passing buildings. Her future remains uncertain, but she no longer feels completely alone.

Brooke glances at Destiny and offers a reassuring smile. Destiny returns it, then settles back into her seat.

📞 SCENE 6 — LARRY AND BETHANY’S HOUSE — LATE AFTERNOON

Back at home, Larry walks through the living room, still thinking about Destiny’s departure. Bethany sits on the sofa, visibly frustrated. Neither has spoken much since Destiny left.

BETHANY I can’t believe she actually left. She really went to Brooke instead of staying here and working things out with us.
LARRY She said she needed space. We should at least give her a chance to explain herself without another argument.
BETHANY And what if Brooke convinces her that we’re the reason for every problem in her life? What if she decides she doesn’t want to return?

Larry pauses. He knows he cannot predict what Destiny will decide, and the thought makes him uncomfortable.

LARRY We can’t control what she decides. But we can think about what she told us. Maybe we haven’t been listening as carefully as we should have.
BETHANY Are you saying this
