The house is quiet.
Anthony sits on the couch, staring at the floor.
Dnisha sits beside him, watching his expression carefully.
Anthony takes a deep breath.

DNISHA
What are you thinking about?
ANTHONY
I’ve been thinking about Amber and Dave.
DNISHA
What about them?
ANTHONY
I think it’s time we stop carrying all this tension between our families.
ANTHONY
I want to invite Amber and Dave here tonight.
DNISHA
Here?
ANTHONY
Yes. I want everyone to sit together and talk.
ANTHONY
I’m going to divorce Amber. I want us to finally move forward.
DNISHA
And you really think everyone can be friends after everything?
ANTHONY
I don’t know.
A short pause.
ANTHONY
But I think we have to try.
INT. AMBER’S HOUSE — LIVING ROOM — EVENING
Amber answers the phone.
AMBER
Hello?
ANTHONY
Amber, you and Dave should come to our house tonight.
AMBER
Tonight?
ANTHONY
Yes.
AMBER
Okay. We’ll come.
Anthony ends the call.
Amber stares at her phone. She clearly has questions.
INT. AMBER AND DAVE’S HOUSE — LATER
Dave walks into the room and notices Amber’s worried expression.
DAVE
What happened?
AMBER
Anthony invited us to his house tonight.
DAVE
Why?
AMBER
I don’t know.
AMBER
Anthony just invited us.
DAVE
Okay. We’ll go.
Amber nods, still uncertain.
INT. ANTHONY AND DNISHA’S HOUSE — EVENING
Anthony stands near the kitchen counter and makes another phone call.
AMBER’S LAWYER
Hello?
ANTHONY
I need you to come to my house tonight.
AMBER’S LAWYER
Tonight?
ANTHONY
And bring Amber’s divorce papers with you.
There is silence on the other end.
AMBER’S LAWYER
Are you sure?
Anthony looks toward Dnisha. She gives him a small nod.
ANTHONY
Yes. I’m sure.
AMBER’S LAWYER
Okay. I’ll be there.
Anthony ends the call.
DNISHA
Are you ready?
ANTHONY
No.
ANTHONY
But I know it has to happen.
EXT. ANTHONY AND DNISHA’S HOUSE — NIGHT
A car pulls into the driveway.
Amber and Dave step out.
Amber looks nervous.
DAVE
You okay?
AMBER
Yeah.
They walk toward the front door.
Anthony opens it.
ANTHONY
Come in.
Dnisha greets them warmly.
DNISHA
Hey, Amber.
AMBER
Hey.
For a moment, everyone stands silently. The atmosphere feels uncomfortable.
ANTHONY
Let’s sit down.
THE DECISION
ANTHONY
I asked you here because I don’t want there to be any more confusion between us.
We were husband and wife.
But that chapter of our lives is ending.
I’m going to marry Dnisha.
And I think you should marry Dave and move forward with your life too.
THE DIVORCE PAPERS
A sudden knock comes at the door.
Anthony opens it.
Amber’s lawyer stands outside with a folder.
AMBER’S LAWYER
Good evening.
ANTHONY
Come in.
The lawyer enters and opens the folder.
The divorce papers are placed on the table.
Anthony looks at the documents.
His expression becomes serious.
Anthony picks up the pen.
For a moment, he hesitates.
ANTHONY
Are you ready?
AMBER
Yes.
Anthony signs the divorce papers.
The room falls completely silent.
The lawyer collects the documents.
The marriage between Anthony and Amber has officially come to an end.
A NEW BEGINNING
Anthony looks at Amber.
ANTHONY
I hope you find happiness.
AMBER
I hope you do too.
Dnisha steps closer to Amber.
ANTHONY
Now… I want you to hug Dnisha.
Amber looks surprised.
Dnisha opens her arms.
Amber and Dnisha hug each other.
The tension between them slowly disappears.
Anthony walks over and hugs Dave.

From now on, our two families are friends.
DAVE
I can live with that.
INT. ANTHONY AND DNISHA’S HOUSE — LATER THAT NIGHT
Everyone sits together, talking.
The mood is completely different now.
Dave and Anthony laugh about something.
Dnisha and Amber speak quietly.
There is no arguing. No accusations. No old grudges.
Just a strange sense of peace.
Anthony looks at Amber one final time.
Amber smiles.
She knows things will never be the same again.
But perhaps that is exactly what they all needed.

Anthony reaches for Dnisha’s hand.
Amber looks at Dave.
