A Cruel Attack on Brooke’s Dreams

The atmosphere inside Larry’s house is tense. Brooke is standing in the living room, trying to stay calm while Bethany sits nearby with an arrogant expression on her face.

Bethany has been making insulting comments about Brooke for several minutes. She seems determined to destroy Brooke’s confidence and make her feel worthless.

Brooke tries to ignore her, but Bethany has no intention of stopping.

BETHANY

(Laughing sarcastically)

Brooke, honestly, I don’t understand why you keep dreaming about becoming successful. You should finally accept the reality. Not everyone is meant to achieve something in life.

Brooke looks at Bethany with disbelief but chooses not to respond immediately.

BETHANY

You keep talking about going to college as if it’s going to change your entire life. What exactly do you think you’re going to accomplish there?

BROOKE

Bethany, I don’t know why you’re so interested in my future. It’s my life, and I can make my own decisions.

That’s enough, Bethany! You have absolutely no right to talk about me like that. Just because you have nothing better to do with your life doesn’t mean you can constantly insult mine!

BROOKE

The word hits Brooke like a shock.

BROOKE
