Brooke’s Terrifying Attack — A Family’s Worst Nightmare
Summary
Mariah, Hope, and Faith develop a revenge plan after an argument with Brooke and Destiny. The following day, they return to Bethany’s house while Larry and Bethany are away and brutally attack Brooke. When Larry discovers Brooke seriously injured, he calls Bethany and the police. The three women are arrested, while Larry and Bethany rush to the hospital, fearing for Brooke’s life.
The Argument at Bethany’s House
Mariah, Hope, and Faith arrive at Bethany’s house. Brooke and Destiny are shocked to see them, and another argument quickly begins.
BROOKE
Why are you three here again? If you have something to say, say it and leave.
MARIAH
You seem to have forgotten that you cannot talk to us however you want.
DESTINY
Brooke hasn’t done anything to deserve this attitude. If you’ve come here to start another argument, you should leave.
HOPE
Nobody asked you to interfere. This is between us and Brooke.
DESTINY
Then stop coming here and creating problems!
BROOKE
I’m tired of this drama. You three need to stop bringing your problems into this house.
MARIAH
You think you’ve won because everyone keeps supporting you? Don’t get too comfortable.
BROOKE
I’m not trying to win anything. I just want to live peacefully.
FAITH
We’ll see how long you keep that attitude.
Mariah, Hope, and Faith leave the house angrily. Before leaving, Mariah turns toward Brooke and delivers one final warning.
MARIAH
This isn’t over, Brooke. You’ll regret humiliating us.
After the door closes, Destiny looks at Brooke with concern.
DESTINY
Do you think they’ll come back?
BROOKE
I hope not. I don’t want any more trouble. I just want to live peacefully.
The Revenge Plan
Outside, Mariah, Hope, and Faith stand beside their car. Their anger continues to grow as they discuss what happened.
HOPE
I can’t believe Brooke spoke to us like that in front of Destiny.
FAITH
And she acted as if we were the ones causing every problem!
MARIAH
We’re not going to let her get away with humiliating us.
HOPE
What are you planning to do?
MARIAH
We’ll wait until Larry and Bethany aren’t home. Then we’ll go back and confront Brooke without anyone interfering.
FAITH
And what if she starts arguing with us again?
MARIAH
We’ll make sure she understands that her actions have consequences.
HOPE
Fine. But we need to make sure nobody finds out beforehand.
MARIAH
Exactly. Tomorrow, we’ll settle this once and for all.
The three women leave, determined to return the following day.
The Attack on Brooke
The following morning, Larry leaves for his office while Bethany is away from home. Brooke is sleeping peacefully in her bedroom when Mariah, Hope, and Faith enter the house.
HOPE
It’s so quiet. Are you sure nobody else is here?
MARIAH
Larry has gone to work, and Bethany isn’t here. This is our chance to talk to Brooke.
FAITH
Let’s just talk to her and leave. I don’t want this situation getting worse.
MARIAH
We didn’t come all this way to turn around now.
Mariah leads the others into Brooke’s bedroom. Brooke wakes up when they enter and looks at them in confusion.
BROOKE
What are you doing here? How did you get inside?
MARIAH
Get up, Brooke. We need to talk.
BROOKE
Not now. I’m tired, and I don’t want to argue with you again. Please leave.
HOPE
You should have thought about that yesterday.
The confrontation escalates. Mariah grabs Brooke and drags her from the bedroom into the living room while Hope and Faith follow.
BROOKE
Let me go! Somebody, please help me!
The three women attack Brooke in the living room. Brooke becomes seriously injured and collapses to the floor, struggling to breathe. Faith and Hope begin to realize how dangerous the situation has become.
BROOKE
Please stop! I haven’t done anything to you!
FAITH
Mariah, that’s enough. We should stop now.
HOPE
We need to call someone. She needs help!
FAITH
Mariah, look at her! Something is seriously wrong!
MARIAH
Nobody move. We need to think.
Brooke can barely speak. The three women stand nearby, frightened by the consequences of their actions.
Larry Discovers the Truth
Larry returns from the office earlier than expected. He enters the house, expecting everything to be normal, but freezes when he sees Brooke lying injured on the living-room floor.
Larry drops his briefcase and rushes to her side.
LARRY
Brooke, sweetheart, can you hear me? Please, open your eyes!
Seeing how badly Brooke is injured, Larry immediately calls Bethany.
LARRY
Bethany, you need to come home right now! Something terrible has happened to Brooke!
BETHANY
What happened? Larry, tell me what’s going on!
LARRY
Mariah, Hope, and Faith attacked her! She’s badly injured, and she’s struggling to breathe!
BETHANY
What? No! Please tell me Brooke is going to be okay!
LARRY
I don’t know, Bethany. I’m calling for emergency help. Please get here as quickly as you can!
Larry ends the call and immediately contacts emergency services, requesting an ambulance and police assistance.
LARRY
Please send an ambulance and the police to Bethany’s house immediately. A woman has been seriously injured in an assault, and she needs medical attention right away.
Larry returns to Brooke and holds her hand while waiting for help.
LARRY
Stay with me, Brooke. Help is coming. You’re not alone, sweetheart. Please keep fighting.
The Arrest of Mariah, Hope, and Faith
Sirens sound outside as police officers and paramedics arrive. The paramedics immediately begin assessing Brooke while the officers take control of the situation.
POLICE OFFICER
Everyone, step away from the injured woman!
LARRY
Please help her! She can barely breathe!
PARAMEDIC
We’re here to help. Please give us some space.
The police turn toward Mariah, Hope, and Faith to question them about the assault.
POLICE OFFICER
We need to speak with all three of you about what happened here.
MARIAH
We didn’t think things would get this serious.
HOPE
I didn’t think Brooke would end up like this.
FAITH
We should have stopped before it went this far.
The officers arrest Mariah, Hope, and Faith in connection with the assault. Meanwhile, the paramedics carefully transfer Brooke to an ambulance.
MARIAH
What have we done?
Larry follows the ambulance, desperately hoping that Brooke will survive and recover.
Larry and Bethany at the Hospital
At the hospital, Larry waits anxiously outside the treatment room. Bethany arrives moments later, terrified after hearing the news.
BETHANY
Larry! Where is Brooke? How is she?
LARRY
She’s with the doctors. They’re treating her right now.
BETHANY
How could this happen? She was supposed to be safe at home!
LARRY
I know. I came home and found her like that. I called for help as quickly as I could.

DOCTOR

LARRY
Yes. I’m Larry, and this is Bethany. Please, tell us how she is.
DOCTOR
Brooke arrived in serious condition. Our team is treating her and monitoring her breathing closely. We need to continue evaluating her before we can give you a clearer picture of her recovery.
BETHANY
Can we please see her?
DOCTOR
We’ll let you know as soon as it’s safe for you to enter.
The doctor returns to the treatment room. Bethany leans against Larry, crying as she waits for another update.
BETHANY
Larry, please… I just want her to wake up and be okay.
LARRY
I want that too. We have to hold on to hope.
A Heartbreaking Hospital Visit
Later that evening, Larry and Bethany are allowed to enter Brooke’s hospital room. Brooke lies in bed, pale and seriously injured, while medical equipment monitors her condition.
Bethany slowly approaches the bed. Seeing Brooke in this condition breaks her heart.
BETHANY
Oh, Brooke… look what they’ve done to you.
She gently takes Brooke’s hand and begins to cry.

Larry stands on the other side of the bed, struggling to hold back his tears.
LARRY
Brooke, I’m here. Bethany is here too. You’re not alone.
LARRY
I promise we’ll do everything we can to help you recover. Whoever hurt you will have to answer for what happened.
BETHANY
Please come back to us, Brooke. Please.
Bethany rests her head beside Brooke’s hand and sobs. Larry places a comforting hand on her shoulder, and the two remain beside Brooke, praying for her recovery.
Mariah, Hope, and Faith are now in police custody. Their desire for revenge has changed everyone’s lives. Brooke is fighting to recover, while Larry and Bethany wait anxiously for the news they desperately want to hear.
