Rob ends the call, determined to make the journey.

The following morning, Rob sits alone, searching for Purnell’s location in Japan. ROB Purnell might hate me after this, but at least he’ll know that someone tried to warn him. Rob receives another message from Larry. LARRY – TEXT MESSAGE Please don’t turn this into a bigger problem than it already is. ROB The problem already exists, Larry. I’m just trying to make sure Purnell knows about it. Rob puts his phone away and leaves.

After a long journey, Rob finally arrives in Japan. He reaches Purnell’s house and knocks on the door. PURNELL Rob? What are you doing here? ROB I came to see you. There’s something important we need to discuss. PURNELL Something important? Why didn’t you tell me you were coming? ROB Because this is something I needed to tell you face-to-face. Purnell allows Rob to enter. PURNELL Alright. Come inside. What’s going on?

Rob finally decides to reveal the truth. ROB Purnell, Jade has been involved in things that you probably don’t know about. PURNELL What are you talking about? ROB Larry and Jade kissed. I’m trying to protect you. PURNELL Don’t pretend you’re doing this for me! Purnell suddenly moves toward Rob and starts hitting him. ROB Purnell! Stop! Listen to me! PURNELL You don’t get to talk about my wife like she’s some kind of terrible person! Rob tries to explain himself, but Purnell refuses to listen.

Rob slowly gets back on his feet. His face shows disappointment. ROB Purnell, please think about what I’ve told you. PURNELL I don’t need your advice! ROB I’m not your enemy. PURNELL You came into my house and insulted my wife. Get out! Rob walks toward the door. ROB I hope one day you realize that I wasn’t trying to hurt you. I was trying to stop you from getting hurt. PURNELL Don’t come back here again! Purnell forces Rob outside and slams the door.

Outside, Rob takes out his phone and calls Larry. LARRY Rob? Did you talk to Purnell? ROB Yes. And it went worse than I expected. LARRY What happened? ROB He got furious. The moment I mentioned Jade, he started defending her. Then he attacked me and threw me out of his house. LARRY I told you this could happen. ROB I couldn’t just sit back and let him believe everything was fine. Larry becomes quiet. LARRY Rob, there’s something else you should know. ROB What?
