Miami Trip Conflict
Miami Trip Conflict
Larry wants to fix a fight, but Sharra and Bethany’s constant arguments threaten to ruin the Miami trip.

Larry Visits Sharra

Larry stands at Sharra’s doorstep, nervously tapping his foot. The afternoon sunlight reflects on the polished floor.

LARRY: Sharra… can we talk for a minute?

Sharra leans against the door frame, arms crossed, her eyes cold and distant.

SHARRA: Larry… I don’t want to talk right now.

LARRY: I know, but please… just hear me out.

Sharra sighs, avoiding his gaze. Tension fills the room like heavy smoke.

SHARRA: Every time Bethany is involved, it’s the same. She fights. Always.

LARRY: I understand… but we can’t let this ruin the Miami trip. I want you both to enjoy it.

Sharra’s Refusal

Sharra shakes her head, frustration flashing in her eyes. She steps back, keeping distance.

SHARRA: I can’t go with her. Not together. She never listens… she never changes.

LARRY: Then I’ll talk to her first. I’ll make her understand.

Sharra’s gaze softens slightly, hope flickering beneath her worry.

SHARRA: Promise me… she won’t start another fight.

LARRY: I promise. I’ll handle it.

Confronting Bethany

Bethany is pacing in her room when Larry calls. She picks up, tone sharp and defensive.

BETHANY: What now?

LARRY: Bethany… I need to talk. It’s about Sharra. And the Miami trip.

Bethany pauses, her fingers gripping the phone tighter.

BETHANY: Oh… now you care? After every argument?

LARRY: I care because she’s upset. You two can’t go together if you keep fighting. Can you try… just this once?

Bethany exhales, conflicted but softening.

BETHANY: Okay… I’ll try.

Resolution

Larry returns to Sharra’s house with a hopeful smile.

LARRY: She agreed… she’ll try.

Sharra lets out a relieved breath, tension leaving her shoulders.

SHARRA: Finally… some peace.

The sun sets, filling the room with a warm golden glow, signaling a fragile but hopeful beginning.

LARRY: See? Everything’s going to be okay.

SHARRA: Thanks, Larry… really.

Outside, Bethany thinks about the trip, unsure but willing to try. Some battles are harder to win, but at least this one has a chance.
