Wayne Catches Anthony and Yaya Getting Too Close

SCENE 1 — YAYA INVITES WAYNE TO A PARTY

It is a quiet evening when Yaya picks up her phone and decides to call Wayne. She wants to organize a party and invites Wayne to come with some of his friends. She has no idea that her simple invitation will eventually create a serious conflict.

YAYA
“Wayne, what are you doing tonight?”

WAYNE
“Nothing much. Why?”

Yaya smiles as she explains her plan.

YAYA
“I was thinking we should have a party. You should come over, and bring some of your friends with you.”

Wayne thinks for a moment before agreeing.

WAYNE
“Alright, that sounds good. I’ll bring some people with me.”

Yaya becomes excited.

YAYA
“Perfect. Come whenever you’re ready.”

After ending the call, Yaya immediately starts preparing the house. She checks the decorations, arranges everything, and makes sure the party atmosphere is perfect.

SCENE 2 — WAYNE CALLS ANTHONY

Wayne knows that Anthony would enjoy the party, so he picks up his phone and calls him.

ANTHONY
“What’s up, Wayne?”

WAYNE
“Yaya is having a party tonight. I’m going over there, and I want you to come with me.”

Anthony immediately agrees.

ANTHONY
“Yeah, I’m down. Give me a little time, and I’ll meet you.”

WAYNE
“Alright. Don’t take too long.”

The call ends. Anthony gets ready and heads out. He believes he is simply going to spend the evening with his friend, but the night is about to take an unexpected turn.

SCENE 3 — ANTHONY SEES YAYA

When Wayne and Anthony arrive at Yaya’s house, music is already playing. Guests are laughing, talking, and enjoying themselves.

Yaya turns around when she hears the door open. Anthony suddenly stops when he sees her.

For a moment, he forgets about everything happening around him. His attention is completely focused on Yaya.

ANTHONY
“Wow…”

Wayne looks at him.

WAYNE
“What?”

Anthony quickly smiles.

ANTHONY
“This is very beautiful.”

Wayne assumes Anthony is talking about the party.

WAYNE
“Yeah, Yaya did a good job setting everything up.”

Anthony continues looking toward Yaya.

“Yeah… she really did.”

Wayne walks away to greet the other guests, while Anthony remains focused on Yaya. Yaya notices his attention and gives him a small smile.

SCENE 4 — ANTHONY STARTS FLIRTING

As the party continues, Anthony slowly approaches Yaya. Their conversation begins casually, but soon becomes more personal.

ANTHONY
“You look really good tonight.”

Yaya smiles.

YAYA
“Thank you. I’m glad you came.”

ANTHONY
“I’m glad I came too.”

Yaya notices that Anthony has been paying close attention to her.

YAYA
“You’ve been looking at me since you walked through the door.”

Anthony laughs nervously.

ANTHONY
“Maybe because you caught my attention.”

Yaya clearly enjoys the compliment. The two continue talking while Wayne remains unaware of how close they are becoming.

SCENE 5 — THE PARTY GETS MORE PERSONAL

The music gets louder as everyone continues enjoying the party. Anthony and Yaya keep talking, laughing, and exchanging compliments.

YAYA
“You’re actually different from what I expected.”

ANTHONY
“What did you expect?”

YAYA
“I don’t know. Maybe someone more serious.”

Anthony smiles.

ANTHONY
“I can be serious.”

YAYA
“Really?”

They both laugh. But underneath the laughter, the situation is becoming more complicated.

Wayne eventually walks past them.

WAYNE
“Everything good over here?”

Yaya quickly responds.

YAYA
“Yeah, everything is good.”

ANTHONY
“We’re just talking.”

Wayne smiles and walks away, still trusting the two people standing behind him.

SCENE 6 — YAYA TAKES ANTHONY TO ANOTHER ROOM

Later in the evening, Yaya notices that the party has become crowded. She looks at Anthony and quietly asks him to talk somewhere more private.

YAYA
“Can I talk to you for a minute?”

Anthony follows her into another room. The noise from the party becomes quieter once they are away from everyone else.

ANTHONY
“What did you want to talk about?”

YAYA
“I just wanted a quiet place to talk.”

Yaya looks directly at Anthony.

YAYA
“Anthony, you look really good tonight.”

Anthony is caught off guard by the compliment.

ANTHONY
“Thank you. You look amazing too.”

The conversation becomes increasingly personal. Anthony admits that he likes Yaya, and she tells him that she likes him too.

SCENE 7 — WAYNE WALKS IN

Outside the room, Wayne begins looking for Anthony and Yaya. At first, he thinks nothing of their absence. But after noticing that they have been gone for some time, he walks toward the hallway.

He hears voices coming from one of the rooms.

Wayne stops.

His expression changes as he opens the door.

He sees Anthony and Yaya together.

Wayne is shocked.

WAYNE
“What is going on?”

Anthony immediately steps back.

ANTHONY
“Wayne…”

WAYNE
“Don’t.”

Yaya becomes nervous.

YAYA
“Wayne, let me explain.”

WAYNE
“Explain what?”

Anthony tries to calm the situation.

ANTHONY
“It’s not what you think.”

Wayne looks at both of them.

WAYNE
“I walked into this room and saw both of you together. What exactly am I supposed to think?”

SCENE 8 — WAYNE CONFRONTS ANTHONY

Wayne is visibly angry and deeply disappointed. He looks directly at Anthony, unable to believe what he has just witnessed.

WAYNE
“I brought you here because I trusted you.”

Anthony looks down.

ANTHONY
“I know.”

WAYNE
“No, I don’t think you do.”

Yaya tries to explain herself.

YAYA
“Wayne, nothing was planned. Things just got out of control.”

Wayne looks at her.

WAYNE
“And you? You invited us here.”

Yaya lowers her head.

YAYA
“I know, and I’m sorry.”

Anthony finally admits that he made a mistake.

ANTHONY
“Wayne, I made a mistake. I should have walked away.”

Wayne shakes his head.

WAYNE
“You should have thought about that before crossing the line.”

SCENE 9 — THE PARTY FALLS APART

The party that started with laughter has suddenly become uncomfortable. Guests begin noticing the tension between Wayne and Anthony.

Some people quietly leave while others remain silent.

Anthony follows Wayne toward the door.

ANTHONY
“Wayne, wait.”

Wayne turns around.

WAYNE
“What do you want me to say?”

ANTHONY
“I’m sorry.”

Wayne takes a deep breath.

WAYNE
“Sorry doesn’t erase what happened.”

Anthony has no answer.

Yaya watches the situation from the doorway, realizing that her party has completely fallen apart.

SCENE 10 — THE AFTERMATH

Wayne stands near the door. The anger on his face has slowly turned into disappointment.

YAYA
“Wayne…”

Wayne stops but does not turn around.

WAYNE
“I need time.”

Anthony looks devastated.

ANTHONY
“Wayne, are we really going to let this destroy our friendship?”

Wayne finally turns around.

WAYNE
“You destroyed the trust first. Now you’re asking me to decide what happens next.”

Anthony remains silent.

Wayne walks out of the house.

The door closes behind him.

Yaya looks at Anthony, but neither of them knows what to say. The consequences of their actions have suddenly become much bigger than they expected.
