As she enters the room, she suddenly notices Dre sitting comfortably with Sharra. Brooke immediately stops walking. Her eyes move from Dre to her mother, and her facial expression changes. She cannot understand why Dre is spending so much time at her mother’s house. Brooke has already noticed his frequent visits, but seeing him there again makes her suspicious. Brooke:

Instead of continuing to argue with Dre, Brooke turns toward her mother. She wants Sharra to explain why Dre keeps visiting her. Brooke:

Dre Gets Angry and Tells Brooke to Mind Her Business

“None of my business? You’re sitting in my mother’s house, and you’re telling me I have no right to ask what’s happening?”
Dre:
“Exactly! You need to stop worrying about what other people are doing.”
Brooke turns toward Sharra, expecting her mother to defend her. Brooke:
“Mom, are you seriously going to let him speak to me like that?”
Sharra tries to calm the situation. Sharra:
“Brooke, please calm down. You cannot keep attacking Dre with questions. If you want to talk to me, then talk to me respectfully.”
Brooke becomes even more frustrated because she feels that Sharra is defending Dre instead of understanding her concerns.

Brooke Loses Control and Punches Dre

“Then don’t come into my mother’s house and disrespect me!”

Sharra Is Shocked by Brooke’s Behavior

Sharra looks at Brooke with anger and disappointment. She never expected her daughter to behave this way in her house. Sharra:
“Brooke, that’s enough! I don’t care how upset you are. You do not have the right to punch Dre!”
Brooke looks at her mother, surprised by her reaction. Brooke:
“Mom, are you serious right now? He was disrespecting me! Why aren’t you saying anything to him?”

“And that gives you permission to hit him? Absolutely not! You need to understand that your behavior is unacceptable.”
Dre stands nearby, still upset about what happened. Dre:
“Somebody needs to tell her that she cannot treat people like this.”
Brooke immediately turns toward him. Brooke:
“Don’t start with me again, Dre!”
Sharra:
“Brooke! I said enough!”
For a few seconds, the room becomes completely silent. Sharra looks at her daughter and then at Dre. She wants both of them to stop arguing, but she also knows that Brooke has crossed a serious line. Sharra:
“If you have questions about my personal life, you can ask me privately. But you are not going to come into my house, accuse me of things, and start hitting people.”
Brooke feels hurt because she believes her mother is taking Dre’s side. Brooke:
“So you’re choosing him over your own daughter?”
Sharra:
“Don’t put words in my mouth. I’m not choosing anybody. I’m telling you to show respect.”

Brooke Brings Larry Into the Argument Again

She turns around and walks out of the house, leaving Sharra and Dre standing in the living room.
