THE TRUTH ABOUT ISAIAH
A Dramatic Philly Confrontation
SCENE 1 — CAMERON TELLS MARIAH THE TRUTH
The room is quiet. Mariah sits across from Cameron, listening carefully. Cameron looks serious because he knows that Mariah needs to make an important decision.
CAMERON
“You need to go talk to Brooke.”
Mariah looks confused.
MARIAH
“Talk to Brooke about what?”
CAMERON
“About Isaiah. You need to tell her everything. No more secrets. No more hiding what happened.”
Mariah looks down for a moment. She knows that telling Brooke the truth could completely change Brooke’s relationship with Isaiah.
MARIAH
“You really think I should tell her?”
CAMERON
“Yes. Brooke deserves to know the truth.”
Mariah slowly nods. She knows Cameron is right.
SCENE 2 — MARIAH APPROACHES BROOKE
Later that day, Mariah finds Brooke. Brooke immediately notices the serious expression on Mariah’s face.
BROOKE
“What’s going on?”
MARIAH
“Brooke, I need to tell you something.”
Brooke becomes concerned.
BROOKE
“Okay… What happened?”
Mariah takes a deep breath.
MARIAH
“You need to know the truth about what happened when you landed in Philly.”
Brooke looks confused.
BROOKE
“What are you talking about?”
Mariah finally reveals what she knows.
MARIAH
“When you landed at the Philly airport, Isaiah was with me. But as soon as he found out that you had landed, he left me and immediately went to you.”
Brooke is completely shocked. She struggles to understand why Isaiah would keep something like this from her.
SCENE 3 — THE TRUTH COMES OUT
Mariah continues explaining everything she knows. She tells Brooke that Isaiah had been spending time with both of them while keeping the truth hidden.
MARIAH
“I didn’t want to keep this from you anymore. Isaiah was spending time with both of us while keeping us separated from the truth.”
Brooke’s expression changes from confusion to anger.
MARIAH
“Isaiah is using you, Brooke. And he did the same thing to me. I don’t think he genuinely loves either of us. It feels like he was just playing around and wasting both of our time.”
BROOKE
“So he has been lying to both of us this entire time?”
MARIAH
“Yes. That’s exactly what I’m trying to tell you.”
Brooke takes a deep breath. She trusted Isaiah, and now she feels betrayed.
BROOKE
“I trusted him.”
MARIAH
“I know.”
SCENE 4 — BROOKE MAKES A DECISION
Brooke picks up her phone and looks at it. She knows she cannot settle this with a simple phone conversation.
BROOKE
“I’m not dealing with this over a phone call.”
MARIAH
“Then what are you going to do?”
BROOKE
“I’m going to Philly.”
Mariah pauses for a moment.
MARIAH
“You want to confront him in person?”
BROOKE
“Yes.”
MARIAH
“Then I’m coming with you.”
The two women make their plans. They know the confrontation could completely change everything.
SCENE 5 — ARRIVING IN PHILLY
Brooke and Mariah arrive in Philly. The atmosphere is tense as they prepare to face Isaiah.
BROOKE
“I’m still trying to believe this.”
MARIAH
“I know. But at least now we’re going to hear what he has to say.”
BROOKE
“He better have a good explanation.”
Mariah looks at Brooke seriously.
MARIAH
“Whatever happens, don’t let him turn this around on you.”
Brooke nods. They continue toward the place where they expect to find Isaiah.
SCENE 6 — ISAIAH SEES THEM
Isaiah suddenly sees Brooke and Mariah standing together. His expression immediately changes.
ISAIAH
“Why are you both here?”
Brooke steps forward.
BROOKE
“You know exactly why we’re here.”
Isaiah looks between the two women.
MARIAH
“You lied to both of us.”
Isaiah becomes defensive.
ISAIAH
“That’s not what happened.”
BROOKE
“Then tell us what happened.”
Isaiah becomes quiet.
Brooke looks directly at him.
BROOKE
“When I landed in Philly, you were with Mariah, weren’t you?”
Isaiah hesitates. Brooke and Mariah immediately notice his reaction.
SCENE 7 — THE CONFRONTATION
The tension rises as both women demand answers.
MARIAH
“You made each of us feel like we were important to you.”
BROOKE
“You played with my feelings!”
MARIAH
“And you did the exact same thing to me!”
Isaiah tries to explain himself.
ISAIAH
“You both don’t understand—”
BROOKE
“Then explain it!”
Isaiah struggles to answer.
BROOKE
“Why were you with Mariah when I landed?”
ISAIAH
“I can explain.”
MARIAH
“Then explain it!”
The confrontation becomes increasingly emotional as Brooke and Mariah demand honesty.
SCENE 8 — EMOTIONS BOIL OVER
The argument becomes heated. Brooke steps forward, demanding answers.
BROOKE
“You can’t keep lying to people and expect the truth to stay hidden forever!”
MARIAH
“We trusted you!”
BROOKE
“And you betrayed that trust!”
For a brief moment, the confrontation turns physical. The situation becomes chaotic, but it is quickly stopped before anyone is seriously injured.
Everyone takes a step back. The room becomes quiet again.
SCENE 9 — BROOKE WALKS AWAY
Brooke looks at Isaiah one final time. Her anger has slowly turned into disappointment.
BROOKE
“I don’t know if I can ever trust you again.”
ISAIAH
“Brooke—”
BROOKE
“No.”
Brooke shakes her head.
BROOKE
“You had every opportunity to be honest with me.”
MARIAH
“We came all the way to Philly because we both deserved the truth.”
Isaiah looks down. For the first time, he realizes that his actions have consequences.
SCENE 10 — WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Brooke and Mariah walk away together. Neither woman says anything for several seconds.
Finally, Brooke looks at Mariah.
BROOKE
“What do you think he’s going to do now?”
MARIAH
“I don’t know.”
Brooke looks back toward Isaiah.
BROOKE
“Whatever happens next, I’m done accepting lies.”
MARIAH
“Me too.”
The two women continue walking together.
Behind them, Isaiah remains standing alone, realizing that everything has changed.
