A Brooke, Isaiah & Bethany Story

The house was completely silent.

But behind Brooke’s locked bedroom door, something was terribly wrong.

Bethany knocked again and again.

No answer.

Her heart began to race.

BETHANY
“Brooke? Please open the door!”

Silence.

Bethany looked terrified.

Then she screamed—

BETHANY
“LARRY! COME HERE, QUICKLY!”

Larry came running down the hallway.

And when the door finally opened, his entire face changed.

Brooke was lying unconscious on the floor.

Beside her were some tablets.

Larry froze.

For a moment, nobody moved.

Then everything happened at once.

SCENE 1 — BROOKE’S BEDROOM

Earlier that evening.

Brooke sat alone on the edge of her bed.

The room was dark except for the soft light coming through the window.

She stared at an old photograph in her hands.

It was a picture of her and Isaiah.

A painful memory suddenly returned.

His smile.

Their conversations.

The moments when she believed everything between them would last forever.

Brooke slowly closed her eyes.

BROOKE
“Why did everything have to change?”

She wiped her tears.

But the memories kept coming.

Isaiah’s voice.

Their arguments.

The disappointment.

The loneliness afterward.

Brooke placed the photograph on the table and looked away.

BROOKE
“I just wanted everything to be okay…”

Her voice broke.

She sat quietly for a long moment, overwhelmed by everything she had been carrying inside.

Then she reached toward some medication that was already in her room.

The camera stays on Brooke’s distressed face as the scene fades to black.

SCENE 2 — THE HALLWAY

Later.

Bethany walked toward Brooke’s room.

She stopped outside the door.

BETHANY
“Brooke?”

No response.

Bethany knocked softly.

BETHANY
“Sweetheart, are you awake?”

Nothing.

Her expression changed.

She knocked harder.

BETHANY
“Brooke, open the door!”

Still nothing.

Bethany stepped back.

Fear appeared in her eyes.

BETHANY
“Brooke!”

She grabbed the door handle.

It was locked.

Bethany’s breathing became faster.

BETHANY
“LARRY!”

Her voice echoed through the house.

BETHANY
“LARRY, COME HERE NOW!”

Larry rushed toward her.

LARRY
“What happened?”

BETHANY
“She isn’t answering me!”

Larry immediately tried the door.

LARRY
“Brooke! Can you hear me?”

Silence.

Larry and Bethany exchanged a frightened look.

Larry forced the door open.

SCENE 3 — THE DISCOVERY

The door swings open.

Larry stopped.

Bethany covered her mouth.

Brooke was lying unconscious on the floor.

A few tablets were visible nearby.

Bethany immediately rushed toward her.

BETHANY
“Oh my God… Brooke!”

Larry quickly called emergency services.

LARRY
“Please send an ambulance immediately. We have an unconscious person who needs urgent medical attention.”

Bethany was shaking as she watched.

BETHANY
“This can’t be happening…”

Larry stayed beside Brooke.

LARRY
“Brooke, please wake up.”

Brooke didn’t respond.

A distant siren could soon be heard outside.

SCENE 4 — THE AMBULANCE

Moments later.

Paramedics entered the house and immediately attended to Brooke.

Bethany stood against the wall, crying silently.

Larry watched as Brooke was carefully taken out of the house.

BETHANY
“Please save her…”

Larry put an arm around Bethany.

LARRY
“They’re going to help her.”

The ambulance doors closed.

The vehicle sped away toward the hospital.

SCENE 5 — THE HOSPITAL

Later that night.

The hospital hallway was filled with bright lights and hurried footsteps.

Bethany sat in a chair, nervously waiting.

Larry stood nearby.

Neither of them said much.

Finally, a doctor came through the doors.

Bethany immediately stood.

BETHANY
“How is she?”

DOCTOR
“She is receiving treatment. We’re monitoring her closely.”

Bethany’s eyes filled with tears.

BETHANY
“Can we see her?”

The doctor nodded.

DOCTOR
“For a short time.”

Bethany entered the room.

Brooke lay unconscious in the hospital bed, surrounded by medical equipment.

Bethany slowly walked toward her.

She gently held Brooke’s hand.

BETHANY
“I’m here, sweetheart.”

BETHANY
“You don’t have to go through this alone.”

Larry remained near the doorway.

Then his phone suddenly rang.

Larry looked at the screen.

It was Isaiah.

SCENE 6 — ISAIAH ARRIVES

Several minutes later.

Isaiah rushed into the hospital.

His face was full of fear.

ISAIAH
“Where’s Brooke?”

Larry turned toward him.

For a moment, the hallway became completely silent.

Isaiah stepped closer.

ISAIAH
“Larry, what happened to her?”

Larry stared at him.

His anger slowly replaced his fear.

Larry grabbed Isaiah by the collar.

LARRY
“This happened because of you!”

Isaiah looked shocked.

ISAIAH
“What are you talking about?”

Larry’s eyes filled with tears.

LARRY
“She was hurting because of everything that happened between you two!”

Isaiah looked toward Brooke’s hospital room.

His face changed.

ISAIAH
“I never wanted this to happen…”

Larry released him.

LARRY
“But it did.”

Isaiah lowered his head.

SCENE 7 — THE UNEXPECTED MOMENT

Inside Brooke’s room.

Bethany was still sitting beside Brooke.

Isaiah stood outside the glass door, unable to enter.

He looked at Brooke through the window.

ISAIAH
“Brooke…”

His voice was barely audible.

ISAIAH
“I’m sorry.”

Larry stood behind him.

LARRY
“Sorry won’t erase what happened.”

Isaiah didn’t answer.

Suddenly, a nurse hurried into Brooke’s room.

Bethany immediately stood up.

BETHANY
“What happened?”

The nurse looked concerned.

NURSE
“Please step outside for a moment.”

Bethany’s face went pale.

Larry and Isaiah looked at each other.

Then the medical monitor suddenly changed.

The nurse immediately called for the doctor.

Bethany grabbed Larry’s arm.

BETHANY
“What’s happening to her?”

The doctor rushed into the room.

Larry, Bethany, and Isaiah could only watch through the glass.

Then Brooke’s fingers suddenly moved.

Her eyes slowly began to open.

But before anyone could hear what she was trying to say…

Brooke looked toward the doorway.

BROOKE
“Sharra…”

Larry’s face went completely pale.

Isaiah stared at him in confusion.

ISAIAH
“Why did she say Sharra’s name?”

Larry didn’t answer.

He simply looked toward Brooke.
