Brooke Catches Dre and Sharra Together — Dre Offers Her Money, but She Throws It Away!
Brooke stopped in the doorway when she saw Dre standing beside Sharra. The two of them were talking quietly, but the moment they noticed her, their expressions changed. Sharra immediately stepped away from Dre, while he stood frozen, unable to explain why they were together.
Brooke looked from Dre to Sharra, her eyes narrowing with disbelief. She had spent weeks wondering why Sharra had been acting strangely around Larry, and now she finally understood that something was happening behind her back.
BROOKE: “Wow. So this is what you’ve been hiding from me?”
Sharra’s face turned pale.
SHARRA: “Brooke, please. Just listen to me.”
BROOKE: “Listen to you? What exactly am I supposed to listen to? You standing here with Dre like everything is perfectly normal?”
Dre stepped forward, attempting to calm the situation.
DRE: “Brooke, you’re taking this the wrong way. Nothing is happening here.”
Brooke let out a bitter laugh.
BROOKE: “Nothing? Then why did both of you look like you were caught doing something you weren’t supposed to do?”
Sharra glanced nervously at Dre before turning back toward Brooke.
SHARRA: “Please don’t make this worse than it already is.”
BROOKE: “Worse? You should have thought about that before you got yourself into this situation.”
Brooke pulled out her phone, and Sharra immediately reached for her arm.
SHARRA: “What are you doing?”
BROOKE: “I’m calling Larry. He deserves to know what you’re doing behind his back.”
Sharra’s eyes widened.
SHARRA: “No! Brooke, please don’t call him!”
Brooke pulled her arm away.
BROOKE: “Why not? Are you afraid he’ll finally find out the truth about you and Dre?”
SHARRA: “You don’t understand what’s going on.”
BROOKE: “Then explain it! Because from where I’m standing, you have some explaining to do.”
Dre looked increasingly uncomfortable. He knew that whatever happened next could create serious problems for everyone involved.
DRE: “Brooke, let’s just calm down. There’s no reason to bring Larry into this.”
Brooke turned toward him.
BROOKE: “And who are you to tell me what I should do? You think you can just walk into somebody else’s life and expect everyone to keep quiet?”
Dre lowered his eyes.
Sharra moved closer to Brooke, desperately trying to stop her from making the call.
SHARRA: “Please. Just give me a chance to explain everything to Larry myself.”
Brooke stared at her.
BROOKE: “You’ve had plenty of chances. Every time I ask you what’s going on, you give me another excuse. I’m tired of being lied to.”
Sharra’s voice began to tremble.
SHARRA: “I know I made mistakes, but I don’t want Larry to find out like this.”
BROOKE: “Then maybe you should have thought about that before you put yourself in this position.”
Brooke looked at Dre again, then back at Sharra.
BROOKE: “You know what? Before I decide what to do, there’s something else we need to discuss.”
Sharra frowned.
SHARRA: “What?”
BROOKE: “Money.”
Dre looked at Brooke in confusion.
DRE: “What does money have to do with anything?”
BROOKE: “If you want me to keep quiet, then you need to give me a reason to do it.”
Sharra shook her head.
SHARRA: “Brooke, you can’t be serious.”
BROOKE: “I’m very serious. You expect me to protect your secret while you keep lying to Larry? I think it’s only fair that I get something out of this.”
Sharra looked at Dre, hoping he would say something that could change Brooke’s mind.
SHARRA: “Please, Brooke. Don’t do this.”
BROOKE: “Then pay me.”
Dre stepped forward, his expression hardening.
DRE: “How much do you want?”
Brooke crossed her arms.
BROOKE: “Enough to make it worth my while.”
Dre reached into his pocket and pulled out a thick bundle of cash. He held it out toward Brooke, expecting her to take it.
DRE: “Here. Take this and leave Larry out of it.”
Brooke stared at the money for a moment.
Sharra watched anxiously, hoping Brooke would accept the offer and finally leave them alone.
But Brooke suddenly laughed.
BROOKE: “You really think this is going to work?”
Dre frowned.
DRE: “You asked for money. I’m giving you money. What more do you want?”
Brooke took the bundle from his hand.
For a brief moment, Dre appeared relieved.
Then Brooke threw the money onto the floor.
The cash scattered across the room.
Sharra gasped.
SHARRA: “Brooke! What are you doing?”
Brooke stepped back, looking directly at Dre.
BROOKE: “I don’t want your money!”
Dre stared at the scattered bills in disbelief.
DRE: “You just asked me for it!”
BROOKE: “I wanted to see how far you were willing to go to keep me quiet. And now I know.”
Sharra bent down and began gathering the money.
SHARRA: “Brooke, please. You’re making this situation worse.”
Brooke looked at her with disappointment.
BROOKE: “No, Sharra. You made this situation worse when you decided to lie to Larry.”
Sharra stood up, holding the money in her hands.
SHARRA: “You don’t know what I’ve been going through.”
BROOKE: “Then tell me! Tell me why you thought this was worth risking everything.”
Sharra opened her mouth, but no words came out.
Dre moved closer to her.
DRE: “Sharra, don’t say anything else.”
Brooke immediately turned toward him.
BROOKE: “Don’t tell her what to do! If she has something to say, let her say it.”
Sharra looked between them, visibly overwhelmed.
SHARRA: “I never wanted things to get this far.”
Brooke’s expression softened slightly, but her anger remained.
BROOKE: “Then why did you let them?”
Sharra lowered her head.
SHARRA: “Because I was afraid.”
BROOKE: “Afraid of what?”
Sharra looked up at Brooke, tears gathering in her eyes.
SHARRA: “Afraid of losing Larry.”
Brooke shook her head.
BROOKE: “You should have thought about that before you put yourself in this position.”
Dre suddenly stepped between them.
DRE: “That’s enough, Brooke. You got what you wanted. Now leave Sharra alone.”
Brooke looked at him in disbelief.
BROOKE: “I haven’t gotten anything I wanted. I wanted the truth, and all you’ve done is try to buy your way out of this.”
She pulled out her phone again.
Sharra immediately grabbed her wrist.
SHARRA: “Brooke, please! Don’t call Larry!”
Brooke looked down at Sharra’s hand.
BROOKE: “Let go of me.”
Sharra released her.
Brooke stared at the phone in her hand, then looked at Dre and Sharra standing together.
BROOKE: “I’m giving you one last chance to tell me the truth. What exactly is going on between you two?”
Neither of them answered.
Brooke’s phone suddenly began ringing.
Larry’s name appeared on the screen.
Sharra’s eyes widened, and Dre looked away.
Brooke answered the call.
BROOKE: “Hey, Larry.”
Larry’s voice came through the phone, sounding concerned.
LARRY: “Brooke, where are you? I’ve been trying to reach Sharra, and she hasn’t answered.”
Brooke looked directly at Sharra.
BROOKE: “She’s right here with me.”
There was a brief silence.
LARRY: “Is everything okay?”
Brooke glanced at Dre, then back at Sharra.
BROOKE: “No, Larry. Everything is not okay.”
Sharra stepped forward, desperately shaking her head.
SHARRA: “Brooke, please!”
Brooke ignored her.
BROOKE: “Larry, there’s something you need to know about Sharra and Dre.”
Sharra’s face went completely pale.
And just as Brooke began to speak, Dre reached toward the phone.
DRE: “Brooke, don’t you dare!”
Brooke pulled the phone away.
BROOKE: “It’s too late, Dre. You should have thought about that before you tried to pay me off.”
Larry’s voice suddenly became louder.
LARRY: “Brooke? What is going on? What are you talking about?”
Brooke took a deep breath and looked at Sharra.
BROOKE: “Larry, I caught Sharra with Dre, and there’s something else you need to know…”
Sharra covered her mouth, realizing that her secret was finally about to come out.
Dre stood frozen, staring at Brooke as Larry waited on the other end of the phone.
LARRY: “Brooke, tell me the truth. What did you catch them doing?”
Brooke opened her mouth to answer.
But before she could speak, Sharra suddenly grabbed the phone and screamed.
SHARRA: “Larry, don’t listen to her! She’s lying!”
Brooke stared at Sharra in shock.
Larry went silent.
Then his voice came through the phone, cold and serious.
LARRY: “Sharra, why are you there with Dre?”
Sharra looked at Brooke, then at Dre.
And for the first time, she had no excuse left.
