Bethany Overhears Larry’s Shocking Plan

💔 Bethany Overhears Larry’s Shocking Plan to Divorce Her and Marry Lynette Again!

Bethany wants to save her marriage, but Larry has other plans. When she accidentally overhears his private conversation with Lynette, she discovers a truth that could destroy everything she has been fighting for. Will Bethany walk away, or will she give Larry another chance?

SCENE 1: Bethany Returns Home

INT. LARRY AND BETHANY’S HOUSE — EVENING

Bethany returns home determined to have an honest conversation with Larry. She still hopes they can repair their marriage and avoid divorce. Larry sits on the couch, looking at his phone, barely noticing her arrival.

BETHANY

Larry, we need to talk. Things haven’t been good between us, but I don’t want us to give up on our marriage.

LARRY

What do you expect me to do, Bethany?

BETHANY

I want us to work together. We’ve had arguments and misunderstandings, but that doesn’t mean we should end everything with a divorce. I still want to be with you.

Bethany watches his face, hoping to see some affection. Instead, Larry looks away. His silence makes her wonder whether he still cares about their future.

SCENE 2: Bethany Begs for Another Chance

INT. LIVING ROOM — CONTINUOUS

Bethany sits beside Larry and tries to explain how much their relationship means to her.

BETHANY

I’m not asking you to pretend everything is perfect. I’m asking you to try. We can communicate better and stop allowing every problem to push us apart.

BETHANY

I wanted to grow old with you. I wanted us to look back one day and be proud that we didn’t give up when things became difficult.

LARRY

Sometimes people stay in relationships because they’re afraid of being alone. That doesn’t mean the relationship is still working.

His words hurt Bethany more than she expected. She had come to him hoping for reassurance, but instead, she feels as though she is the only one trying to save their marriage.

BETHANY

Are you saying that our marriage means nothing to you? If I’ve hurt you, tell me. If something needs to change, let’s talk about it. But don’t act like everything we’ve shared means nothing.

Larry stands up and walks toward the bedroom without giving her the answer she wants.

SCENE 3: Larry Avoids the Truth

INT. BEDROOM — MOMENTS LATER

Bethany follows Larry to the doorway, hoping he will finally explain what is happening between them.

BETHANY

Larry, we can’t solve anything if you walk away every time I try to talk to you.

LARRY

I’m tired, Bethany. I need some time to myself.

BETHANY

You always need time to yourself when I want to talk about us. How am I supposed to understand what you’re thinking if you won’t tell me?

Larry remains silent. Bethany lowers her eyes, trying to hide her disappointment.

BETHANY

I still believe we can save this marriage. I just wish you wanted to save it as much as I do.

Bethany leaves the room. Larry picks up his phone and scrolls through his contacts until he finds Lynette’s name. After a short hesitation, he calls her.

SCENE 4: Larry Calls Lynette

INT. BEDROOM — CONTINUOUS

Larry sits on the edge of the bed as Lynette answers. His voice is quiet, and his expression becomes serious.

LYNETTE (ON THE PHONE)

Hello, Larry. What’s going on?

LARRY

I’ve been thinking about everything, and I need to tell you something.

LYNETTE (ON THE PHONE)

What is it?

LARRY

I don’t think I can continue my marriage with Bethany. She wants us to work things out, but my heart isn’t in it anymore.

Lynette becomes quiet. She knows this is a serious decision and wants to make sure Larry understands its consequences.

LYNETTE (ON THE PHONE)

Are you sure about this, Larry? You know this isn’t a small decision.

LARRY

I’ve thought about it. I want to divorce Bethany and marry you again. I want another chance with you, Lynette.

LYNETTE (ON THE PHONE)

You need to be honest with everyone, including yourself. You can’t let Bethany believe you’re trying to save your marriage if you’ve already decided to leave.

Larry looks down, realizing that he will eventually have to face Bethany and explain what he truly wants.

SCENE 5: Bethany Overhears the Shocking Conversation

INT. HALLWAY — CONTINUOUS

Bethany returns to the bedroom, hoping to speak with Larry one more time. As she approaches the partially open door, she suddenly hears his voice.

LARRY (ON THE PHONE)

I want to divorce Bethany and marry you again.

Bethany stops in her tracks. Her expression changes as she struggles to believe what she has just heard.

BETHANY

What? No… Larry, how could you?

LARRY (ON THE PHONE)

I don’t want to keep pretending that everything is fine. I want to be with you again.

Bethany’s eyes fill with tears. Only moments ago, she was asking Larry to save their marriage. Now she realizes that he is discussing a future with Lynette instead.

She covers her mouth, trying to keep herself from making a sound. Her heart sinks as she thinks about all the effort she has put into keeping their relationship alive.

BETHANY’S THOUGHTS:
I thought we were both trying to fix this. I thought there was still hope for us.

SCENE 6: Bethany Breaks Down

INT. LIVING ROOM — MOMENTS LATER

Bethany walks back into the living room and sits on the couch. Tears roll down her cheeks as she tries to process Larry’s words.

BETHANY

Why am I fighting so hard for someone who doesn’t even want to stay with me?

She remembers the future she imagined with Larry and wonders whether he has already given up on everything they shared.

BETHANY

I asked him to work things out. I told him we could start again. And all this time, he was thinking about marrying Lynette.

After ending his phone call, Larry walks into the living room and sees Bethany crying.

LARRY

Bethany? What’s wrong?

BETHANY

You really want to know what’s wrong, Larry?

Larry looks confused. Bethany slowly lifts her head and looks directly at him.

BETHANY

I heard your conversation with Lynette. I heard you say that you want to divorce me and marry her again. Is that really what you want?

LARRY

Bethany, I can explain.

BETHANY

Explain what? That you don’t love me anymore? While I was asking you to save our marriage, you were planning to leave me for someone else?

Larry struggles to respond. Bethany wipes her tears and waits for him to tell her the truth.

SCENE 7: Bethany Faces a Difficult Decision

INT. LIVING ROOM — NIGHT

The room falls silent. Bethany stands a short distance from Larry, waiting for an answer that could change their future forever.

BETHANY

I wanted us to have a future together, Larry. But I can’t be the only person trying to make that happen.

For the first time that evening, Bethany stops begging Larry to stay. She understands that a marriage cannot survive through the efforts of just one person. Love, honesty, and commitment must come from both partners.

Larry knows his decision has hurt Bethany deeply. He must now decide whether he will be honest about his feelings and accept the consequences of his choices.

Bethany still has feelings for Larry, but she must also decide whether remaining in a relationship without mutual love is the right choice for her.

She turns away, leaving Larry standing in the living room. The future of their marriage remains uncertain, and neither of them knows what will happen next.

💔 TO BE CONTINUED…

Will Bethany leave Larry after discovering that he wants to marry Lynette again, or will she continue fighting for the marriage she still believes in?

Will Larry finally choose between Bethany and Lynette, or will his decision create even more heartbreak?
