A Shocking Pregnancy Changes Everything

SCENE 1 — SHAYLA’S HOUSE — DAY

The house is quiet.

Shayla walks slowly through the living room when suddenly—

She stops.

A sharp pain hits her stomach.

Shayla grabs her belly, struggling to breathe.

SHAYLA

“Ahh… my stomach… it hurts so bad!”

She bends forward, her face filled with fear.

ANGELINA

“Shayla! What’s wrong with you?”

SHAYLA

“I… I don’t know. The pain just came out of nowhere.”

ANGELINA

“I’m calling an ambulance right now. Just stay with me!”

The sound of an ambulance siren slowly approaches.

SCENE 2 — OUTSIDE SHAYLA’S HOUSE — MOMENTS LATER

Paramedics rush inside with a stretcher.

Angelina stays beside Shayla, visibly worried.

PARAMEDIC

“We need to get her to the hospital immediately.”

SHAYLA

“Angelina… please don’t leave me.”

ANGELINA

“I’m coming with you. Everything is going to be okay.”

The ambulance doors close. The siren echoes into the distance.

SCENE 3 — HOSPITAL — EMERGENCY ROOM

Shayla lies on a hospital bed.

Doctors examine her while nurses move quickly around the room.

Angelina waits outside, nervously pacing.

DOCTOR

“We need to perform an ultrasound to find out what’s causing the pain.”

ANGELINA

“Please… just make sure she’s okay.”

SCENE 4 — ULTRASOUND ROOM — LATER

The room is dim.

Shayla lies still as the doctor begins the ultrasound.

She watches the monitor nervously.

Suddenly, the doctor pauses.

His expression changes.

SHAYLA

“Doctor… what is it?”

DOCTOR

“Shayla… you’re pregnant.”

Silence.

Shayla’s eyes widen.

SHAYLA

“Pregnant…?”

DOCTOR

“Yes. There’s a baby.”

Shayla’s eyes slowly fill with tears.

Her hand moves toward her stomach.

SCENE 5 — THE SHOCKING REALIZATION

Shayla continues staring at the ultrasound screen.

Memories begin rushing through her mind.

SHAYLA

“No…”

She wipes away a tear.

SHAYLA

“This baby… it has to be Iman’s.”

Her expression changes from shock to fear.

SHAYLA

“But what am I going to tell him?”

SCENE 6 — HOSPITAL HALLWAY

Angelina waits outside.

Shayla slowly walks out of the ultrasound room.

ANGELINA

“Shayla, what did the doctor say?”

SHAYLA

“Angelina… I’m pregnant.”

ANGELINA

“What?”

SHAYLA

“And I think… the baby is Iman’s.”

Angelina freezes.

SCENE 7 — IMAN FINDS OUT

Later that evening, Iman receives a phone call.

He listens quietly.

His expression slowly changes.

IMAN

“What did you just say?”

He stands completely still.

IMAN

“Shayla is pregnant?”

A long silence.

IMAN

“And she thinks the baby is mine?”

Iman ends the call.

His hands begin trembling.

SCENE 8 — HOSPITAL ROOM

Iman arrives at the hospital.

He opens the door.

Shayla looks up.

Their eyes meet.

IMAN

“Shayla… is it true?”

SHAYLA

“Yes.”

IMAN

“You’re pregnant?”

SHAYLA

“Yes.”

IMAN

“And you believe the baby is mine?”

SHAYLA

“I don’t just believe it, Iman… I’m almost certain.”

SCENE 9 — THE CLIFFHANGER

Iman looks at Shayla’s stomach.

His anger slowly turns into confusion.

Then fear.

IMAN

“If this baby really is mine…”

He stops.

Shayla waits for his answer.

IMAN

“…then everything between us is about to change.”

Shayla begins crying.

Iman looks away, unable to process what he has just learned.
