Office Confrontation
INT. WAYNE’S BUSINESS OFFICE – LATE AFTERNOON
Golden sunlight filters through the tall glass windows, bathing the office in warm amber light. The room is unusually quiet. A large conference table sits in the center, surrounded by expensive leather chairs. The faint hum of the air conditioner is the only sound. Near the entrance, D’Nisha organizes several podcast documents, completely unaware that someone is about to confront her. The office door suddenly swings open. Honey Pot storms inside with determined footsteps. Her eyes burn with frustration. Her jaw is clenched. She walks straight toward D’Nisha. A heavy silence fills the room.
HONEY POT
How long have you known about Wayne and Lauren?
Don’t play innocent with me.
Tell me the truth.
How long have you known they’ve been together?
D’NISHA
What do you mean?
Honey Pot…
I honestly don’t know when their relationship started.
Wayne never told me anything about Lauren.
I found out just like everyone else.
HONEY POT
That’s a lie.
You’ve been around Wayne every day.
You’re telling me you never noticed another woman?
D’NISHA
People work together every day without knowing everything about each other’s personal lives.
Wayne never discussed Lauren with me.
I have no reason to lie to you.
NARRATION
Honey Pot steps closer until only inches separate them. The atmosphere instantly becomes tense. Several employees quietly stop pretending to work. Everyone can feel the tension spreading through the office. Nobody dares interrupt.
HONEY POT
You’re protecting him.
You’re lying.
Tell me when they started seeing each other!
D’NISHA
No.
I’m simply telling you exactly what happened.
I honestly don’t know.
WAYNE
Wayne remains completely silent. He watches from a distance. His calm expression never changes. His silence only makes the confrontation even heavier.
HONEY POT
Say something, Wayne!
Tell me she’s lying!
Tell me she’s telling the truth!
Say anything!
NARRATION
Wayne never answers. The office becomes completely silent. Honey Pot slowly walks toward the exit. Before leaving… She pauses at the doorway.
HONEY POT
One day…
The truth always comes out.
