BROOKE DISCOVERS ISAIAH’S SECRET
EXT. CITY STREET – LATE AFTERNOON
Golden sunlight stretches across the quiet neighborhood.
Cars pass slowly along the road as BROOKE walks toward a waiting car. She looks determined, but there is nervousness in her eyes.
She takes a deep breath and gets inside.
Brooke has made up her mind.
She needs to find Isaiah.
She needs answers.
INT. CAR – CONTINUOUS
Brooke sits in the passenger seat, staring out the window.
Her phone rests in her hand.
She hesitates for a moment before calling ISAIAH’S MOM.
The phone rings.
Once.
Twice.
Then she answers.
ISAIAH’S MOM
Hello?
BROOKE
Hi. I’m trying to find Isaiah. I really need to talk to him.
A brief silence.
ISAIAH’S MOM
Isaiah isn’t here.
Brooke sits up.
BROOKE
What do you mean?
ISAIAH’S MOM
He went to stay with his father for a while.
Brooke’s expression changes.
She looks down at her phone.
BROOKE
Do you know where he is?
ISAIAH’S MOM
Yes. He’s at his father’s house.
Brooke slowly nods.
BROOKE
Okay. Thank you.
The call ends.
Brooke immediately tells the driver where to go.
Her expression is serious.
She has no intention of turning back.
EXT. ISAIAH’S FATHER’S HOUSE – LATE AFTERNOON
The car pulls up outside a quiet house.
Brooke steps out.
She looks toward the front door.
For a moment, she stands still.
Then she walks toward the house.
She knocks.
Nothing.
She knocks again.
The door finally opens.
ISAIAH stands there.
The moment he sees Brooke, his expression freezes.
BROOKE
Isaiah.
ISAIAH
Brooke… what are you doing here?
BROOKE
I needed to see you.
Isaiah looks uncomfortable.
He steps outside and quietly closes the door behind him.
ISAIAH
You could’ve called me.
BROOKE
I did.
She pauses.
BROOKE
I called your mom too.
Isaiah looks away.
BROOKE
She told me you were here.
Isaiah says nothing.
Brooke studies his face.
BROOKE
Why are you acting like you don’t want me here?
ISAIAH
It’s not like that.
BROOKE
Then what is it?
Isaiah takes a breath.
Before he can answer, a sound comes from inside the house.
Both of them turn.
The front door slowly opens again.
A YOUNG WOMAN steps outside.
Brooke immediately notices her.
The girl looks at Isaiah.
Then she looks at Brooke.
The atmosphere suddenly becomes tense.
Isaiah’s face loses color.
BROOKE
Who is she?
Isaiah doesn’t answer.
Brooke waits.
BROOKE
Isaiah, I asked you a question.
Still nothing.
The young woman steps forward.
YOUNG WOMAN
I’ll tell her.
Isaiah looks at her sharply.
ISAIAH
Don’t.
Brooke’s eyes widen.
BROOKE
Don’t what?
The girl looks directly at Brooke.
YOUNG WOMAN
I’m the girl Isaiah was seeing.
Brooke stares at her.
She looks at Isaiah.
He remains silent.
BROOKE
What did you just say?
YOUNG WOMAN
I said I’m the girl Isaiah was with.
Brooke’s face drops.
She struggles to process what she is hearing.
BROOKE
Isaiah…
Isaiah finally looks at her.
ISAIAH
Brooke, listen to me.
BROOKE
No.
She takes a step backward.
BROOKE
You knew exactly what you were doing.
ISAIAH
It’s not that simple.
BROOKE
Then make it simple!
Her voice trembles with anger.
BROOKE
Who is she?
Isaiah looks toward the girl.
He doesn’t answer.
That silence tells Brooke everything.
BROOKE
So it’s true.
Isaiah lowers his head.
ISAIAH
I didn’t want you to find out like this.
Brooke laughs bitterly.
BROOKE
You didn’t want me to find out at all.
The girl watches them silently.
Brooke wipes away a tear before it can fall.
BROOKE
How long?
Isaiah remains silent.
BROOKE
How long have you been lying to me?
ISAIAH
Brooke, I was going to tell you.
BROOKE
When?
She steps closer.
BROOKE
Tomorrow?
Next week?
Or only after I caught you?
Isaiah has no answer.
Brooke shakes her head.
BROOKE
I trusted you.
Isaiah looks genuinely upset.
ISAIAH
I’m sorry.
Brooke looks at him with disbelief.
BROOKE
Sorry doesn’t fix this.
A long silence follows.
YOUNG WOMAN
I didn’t know she was coming here.
Brooke turns toward her.
BROOKE
You knew about me?
The girl hesitates.
YOUNG WOMAN
Yes.
Brooke’s expression becomes even more shocked.
She looks back at Isaiah.
BROOKE
So you told her about me?
Isaiah looks down.
ISAIAH
Yes.
Brooke takes a deep breath.
The anger in her face slowly turns into disappointment.
BROOKE
You made me look like a fool.
ISAIAH
That’s not what I wanted.
BROOKE
But that’s what you did.
Brooke turns away.
She starts walking toward the car.
Isaiah follows her a few steps.
ISAIAH
Brooke, wait!
She stops but doesn’t turn around.
ISAIAH
Please let me explain.
Brooke slowly turns back.
BROOKE
There’s nothing left to explain.
She looks at him one last time.
BROOKE
I came here because I wanted the truth.
A painful pause.
BROOKE
Now I have it.
Isaiah stands frozen.
Brooke walks away.
The young woman remains near the doorway.
Isaiah watches Brooke disappear down the sidewalk.
His face is filled with regret.
EXT. STREET – MOMENTS LATER
Brooke reaches the car.
She opens the door but pauses before getting inside.
She looks back toward Isaiah’s house.
Her eyes fill with tears.
She quickly looks away.
Brooke gets into the car.
The door closes.
The car slowly pulls away.
EXT. ISAIAH’S FATHER’S HOUSE – CONTINUOUS
Isaiah remains standing outside.
The young woman looks at him.
YOUNG WOMAN
Are you going after her?
Isaiah doesn’t respond.
He watches the car disappear into the distance.
For the first time, he realizes that his secret has changed everything.
Inside the house, silence takes over.
Outside, the evening sky grows darker.
And Brooke drives away with one painful thought repeating in her mind.
She trusted Isaiah.
And he betrayed that trust.
