HOPE REVEALS THE TRUTH TO MARYIA
SCENE 1 — HOPE FAITH’S LIVING ROOM — AFTERNOON
The house is quiet.
Warm afternoon sunlight filters through the curtains, creating soft shadows across the living room.
Hope Faith sits on the sofa, holding her phone in her hands.
She looks serious.
A knock comes at the door.
Hope looks up.
A moment later, Maryia walks inside.
Maryia smiles politely, but she notices the serious expression on Hope’s face.
“What’s wrong, Hope?”
Hope slowly puts her phone down.
She takes a deep breath.
“Maryia, I need to ask you something.”
Maryia sits across from her.
“Okay. What is it?”
Hope looks directly into Maryia’s eyes.
“How are things between you and Isaiah?”
Maryia immediately relaxes.
A small smile appears on her face.
“Isaiah and I are fine.”
“He’s loyal to me. I trust him.”
Hope’s expression becomes even more serious.
She slowly shakes her head.
“Are you sure about that?”
Maryia looks confused.
“Of course I’m sure. Why would you ask me that?”
Hope picks up her phone.
She hesitates for a moment.
“Because there’s something you need to see.”
Maryia’s smile disappears.
SCENE 2 — HOPE SHOWS MARYIA THE PICTURE
Hope unlocks her phone.
Maryia watches her carefully.
Hope scrolls through her gallery until she finds a picture.
Her thumb stops.
She looks at Maryia one more time.
“I’m going to show you something.”
Maryia leans forward.
“What is it?”
Hope turns the phone toward her.
📱 THE PICTURE
The picture shows Brooke and Isaiah kissing.
For several seconds, Maryia says nothing.
Her face changes completely.
The confidence she had moments earlier disappears.
Her eyes remain fixed on the picture.
“What…?”
Her voice is barely audible.
Hope watches her reaction.
“Is that Brooke?”
Hope nods slowly.
“Yes.”
Maryia takes the phone from Hope and looks at the picture again.
Her breathing becomes heavier.
Anger begins to rise in her face.
“And that’s Isaiah?”
“Yes.”
Maryia stares at the screen.
Her hands tighten around the phone.
“He told me he was loyal.”
Hope remains quiet.
Maryia looks up at her.
Her eyes are filled with anger and disbelief.
“How could he do this?”
SCENE 3 — MARYIA’S ANGER GROWS
Maryia stands up and begins walking around the room.
She is struggling to control her emotions.
The picture keeps replaying in her mind.
Brooke. Isaiah. The kiss.
Everything she believed suddenly feels uncertain.
“I trusted him.”
Hope watches Maryia carefully.
“I know.”
Maryia turns toward her.
“Then why would he do something like this?”
Hope slowly stands.
She keeps her voice calm.
“Because Isaiah hasn’t exactly been honest with everyone.”
Maryia looks confused.
“What do you mean?”
Hope takes another breath.
“Maryia, Brooke was hurt by him too.”
Maryia’s expression changes.
“Brooke?”
“Yes.”
Hope walks closer.
“He didn’t treat Brooke right either. From what I understand, he got close to her, used the situation, and then left her dealing with the pain.”
Maryia looks away.
She tries to process Hope’s words.
“So you’re telling me he did this to Brooke too?”
“I’m telling you that Brooke was hurt.”
A heavy silence fills the room.
SCENE 4 — MARYIA QUESTIONS EVERYTHING
Maryia slowly sits back down.
She places the phone on the table.
Her anger is now mixed with sadness.
She looks at the picture one more time.
“I thought Isaiah was different.”
Hope sits beside her.
“Sometimes people show us exactly who they are when we aren’t expecting it.”
Maryia wipes a tear from the corner of her eye.
“I told you he was loyal.”
“I defended him.”
Hope nods.
“I know you did.”
Maryia looks down.
“What am I supposed to do now?”
Hope pauses.
“First, don’t blame yourself.”
Maryia looks at her.
“You trusted someone because you believed he deserved your trust.”
She gently points toward the phone.
“But now you have information you didn’t have before.”
Maryia stares at the picture.
Her expression becomes distant.
SCENE 5 — THE TRUTH SINKS IN
The room becomes completely silent.
Outside, the sunlight begins to fade.
Maryia sits motionless.
She remembers every conversation she had with Isaiah.
Every promise.
Every time he told her he was loyal.
Now, every word feels different.
“Maybe I never really knew him.”
Hope looks at her sympathetically.
“That’s what hurts the most.”
Maryia closes her eyes.
A tear rolls down her cheek.
“And Brooke…”
She opens her eyes again.
“If he hurt Brooke too, then maybe I was ignoring the signs.”
Hope gently places a hand on Maryia’s shoulder.
“You weren’t ignoring them because you didn’t care.”
She pauses.
“You ignored them because you loved him.”
Maryia looks at Hope.
Those words hit her deeply.
She looks back at the phone.
“I don’t know what to believe anymore.”
“You don’t have to decide everything today.”
Maryia slowly nods.
She picks up the phone again.
Her eyes remain fixed on the picture.
Her anger returns.
But underneath the anger is something deeper: fear.
Fear that the man she trusted may not be the person she thought he was.
SCENE 6 — MARYIA LEAVES
Maryia finally stands.
She takes a deep breath.
“I need some time alone.”
Hope nods.
“Take all the time you need.”
Maryia walks toward the door.
Before leaving, she stops.
She turns around.
“Hope…”
Hope looks at her.
“Thank you for showing me the truth.”
Hope gives her a gentle nod.
“I just didn’t want you to keep believing a lie.”
Maryia opens the door.
She steps outside.
The door slowly closes behind her.
Hope remains standing in the living room.
Maryia walks away, holding her phone tightly.
Her face is filled with worry.
She knows she can no longer look at Isaiah the same way.
THE PICTURE HAS CHANGED EVERYTHING.
And now, Maryia has to decide what she will do with the truth.
