LACREESHA’S ANGER — HOPE & FAITH FACE THE CONSEQUENCES
LACREESHA’S ANGER — HOPE & FAITH FACE THE CONSEQUENCES

🎬 SCENE 1 — INT. WHATABURGER — AFTERNOON

The restaurant is busy with customers.

Behind the counter, the MANAGER looks concerned as she checks the day’s reports. She reaches for her phone and calls LACREESHA.

MANAGER

Lacreesha, I need you to come to the restaurant as soon as you can.

LACREESHA

What happened?

MANAGER

It’s about Hope and Faith. We need to talk.

Lacreesha immediately becomes suspicious.

LACREESHA

Are they okay?

MANAGER

They’re fine, but there’s a serious problem.

Lacreesha hangs up and heads toward the restaurant.

🎬 SCENE 2 — INT. WHATABURGER OFFICE — LATER

Lacreesha enters the manager’s office. The manager closes the door.

LACREESHA

What’s going on?

The manager takes a deep breath.

MANAGER

Hope and Faith have been giving away restaurant food without permission.

LACREESHA

What?

MANAGER

They’ve been giving free food to their friends.

Lacreesha’s expression immediately changes.

LACREESHA

Are you sure?

MANAGER

I saw what happened myself. We have a responsibility to protect the restaurant’s property.

LACREESHA

I can’t believe they did that.

MANAGER

I thought you should know before you spoke to them.

LACREESHA

Where are they now?

MANAGER

They already left.

LACREESHA

Then I’m going to find them.

🎬 SCENE 3 — EXT. CITY STREET — AFTERNOON

Hope and Faith walk down the sidewalk together. They are talking and laughing, unaware of what is coming.

FAITH

I thought everything was fine.

HOPE

Maybe nobody noticed.

Suddenly, they hear a familiar voice behind them.

LACREESHA

Hope! Faith!

Both girls stop and turn around.

HOPE

Lacreesha?

FAITH

Why are you here?

LACREESHA

I could ask you the same thing.

The girls exchange nervous looks.

🎬 SCENE 4 — EXT. CITY STREET — CONTINUOUS

LACREESHA

The Whataburger manager called me.

HOPE

What did she tell you?

LACREESHA

She told me everything.

FAITH

We can explain.

LACREESHA

Then explain why you were giving away food that wasn’t yours.

HOPE

We had extra food, and we thought our friends could use it.

LACREESHA

That doesn’t give you permission to take it and give it away.

FAITH

We weren’t trying to steal anything.

LACREESHA

I understand what you were trying to do. But you still broke the rules.

Hope looks embarrassed.

🎬 SCENE 5 — EXT. CITY STREET — MOMENTS LATER

LACREESHA

Do you understand how serious this could become?

HOPE

Yes.

LACREESHA

Then why didn’t you ask the manager first?

Hope doesn’t have an answer.

FAITH

We should have asked.

LACREESHA

Exactly.

She takes a breath and tries to calm herself.

LACREESHA

I’m angry because I expected better from both of you.

HOPE

We’re sorry.

FAITH

We really are.

🎬 SCENE 6 — EXT. CITY STREET — CONTINUOUS

LACREESHA

We’re going somewhere safe to talk. I’m not going to argue with you in the middle of the street.

Hope and Faith follow her.

FAITH

Are you going to tell our manager?

LACREESHA

She already knows.

HOPE

What happens now?

LACREESHA

Now you both take responsibility for what you did.

🎬 SCENE 7 — EXT. QUIET SIDEWALK — AFTERNOON

The three stand together. Lacreesha’s voice becomes calmer.

LACREESHA

Helping people isn’t wrong.

Hope looks relieved for a moment.

LACREESHA

But you have to help people in the right way.

FAITH

We understand.

LACREESHA

If you had asked the manager, maybe she could have approved it.

HOPE

We didn’t think that far ahead.

LACREESHA

That’s the problem.

The girls nod.

🎬 SCENE 8 — EXT. SIDEWALK — LATER

FAITH

We really messed up.

HOPE

Yeah.

LACREESHA

Making a mistake doesn’t mean you can’t fix it.

HOPE

How?

LACREESHA

Start by admitting what happened. Then apologize and accept whatever reasonable consequences come next.

FAITH

We’ll do that.

🎬 SCENE 9 — INT. WHATABURGER — EVENING

Lacreesha returns to the restaurant with Hope and Faith. The manager looks up.

MANAGER

You’re back.

LACREESHA

Yes. They want to talk to you.

HOPE

We’re sorry.

FAITH

We shouldn’t have given away the food without asking.

MANAGER

I appreciate you admitting it.

HOPE

Are we fired?

MANAGER

That decision will be discussed. But this is a serious warning.

🎬 SCENE 10 — INT. WHATABURGER OFFICE — EVENING

MANAGER

If you ever want to help customers or people in need with leftover food, ask first.

FAITH

We will.

HOPE

We promise.

LACREESHA

And remember, doing something with good intentions doesn’t automatically make it okay.

HOPE

We understand now.

🎬 SCENE 11 — EXT. WHATABURGER — NIGHT

Hope and Faith leave the restaurant. They are quiet.

FAITH

I thought Lacreesha was going to completely lose it.

HOPE

She was really angry.

FAITH

At least she made us understand why what we did was wrong.

HOPE

Next time, we ask first.

🎬 SCENE 12 — INT. WHATABURGER — NIGHT

LACREESHA

They made a bad decision, but I don’t think they meant to cause trouble.

MANAGER

I agree.

LACREESHA

Maybe this can be a lesson instead of something that ruins everything for them.

MANAGER

We’ll see what happens.

🎬 SCENE 13 — EXT. CITY STREET — NIGHT

FAITH

Do you think everything will be okay?

HOPE

I don’t know.

HOPE

But we’ll take responsibility and make it right.

FAITH

Together?

HOPE

Together.

They continue walking.

🎬 SCENE 14 — INT. WHATABURGER — NEXT MORNING

The manager watches employees prepare the restaurant for another busy day.

LACREESHA

How are things?

MANAGER

Quiet so far.

LACREESHA

Maybe that’s exactly what everyone needs after yesterday.

MANAGER

Let’s hope so.

🎬 SCENE 15 — EXT. CITY STREET — MORNING

The morning sun shines over the city.

Hope and Faith walk side by side, thinking about everything that happened.

FAITH

We wanted to help people.

HOPE

And we still can.

FAITH

Just differently.

HOPE

The right way this time.

They exchange a determined look and continue down the sidewalk.

Their mistake has taught them an important lesson: good intentions matter, but responsible choices matter too.
FADE OUT.
