BROOKE IS TURNED AWAY FROM HOME
SCENE 1 — OUTSIDE THE HOUSE — EVENING
The sky is beginning to darken as Brooke slowly walks toward the house. Her face is tired, her eyes filled with regret.
She stops at the front door, takes a deep breath, and reaches for the handle.
Before she can open it, the door swings open.
Sharra and Larry are standing there. Their expressions are cold and serious.
Brooke freezes.
BROOKE
“Mom… Dad… please. I just want to come inside.”
Larry doesn’t move.
