THE FINAL WARNING
A Cinematic Drama Story
INT. OFFICE – AFTERNOON
The office is unusually tense.
D’NISHA stands near her desk, quietly listening as Shayla unloads her anger. D’Nisha keeps her composure, refusing to argue back.
Shayla paces in front of her, clearly frustrated.
SHAYLA
You really think you can just walk into Anthony’s life and act like you belong there?
D’Nisha slowly looks at her. She remains silent.
SHAYLA
You took everything that was supposed to be mine. You have his house,
his attention, and his time. Now you want to act like you’re the perfect woman in his life.
D’Nisha takes a breath. She says nothing.
SHAYLA
And don’t stand there pretending you don’t know what you did.
You knew exactly what you were doing.
SHAYLA
You think because Anthony chose you, that means you won?
Shayla steps closer. D’Nisha remains calm.
SHAYLA
Let me tell you something. People like you always think everything is going to stay perfect.
But sooner or later, the truth catches up with everybody.
D’NISHA
Are you finished?
SHAYLA
No. I have a lot more to say.
D’NISHA
Then say whatever you came here to say.
Shayla continues, throwing more insults at D’Nisha. D’Nisha refuses to give her the reaction she wants.
After a long moment, Shayla grabs her things and walks away.
D’Nisha watches her leave. Her expression remains controlled,
but the tension in her face says everything.
INT. ANTHONY AND D’NISHA’S HOUSE – LIVING ROOM – EVENING
The front door opens. D’Nisha walks inside, visibly upset.
Anthony is sitting in the living room. He immediately notices something is wrong.
ANTHONY
What happened?
D’Nisha drops her bag onto the chair.
D’NISHA
Shayla happened.
ANTHONY
What did she do?
D’NISHA
She came into my office and started insulting me.
ANTHONY
She came to your office?
D’NISHA
Yes. And I listened to everything she had to say. I didn’t argue with her.
I didn’t disrespect her. I just stood there and let her talk.
ANTHONY
D’Nisha, I’m sorry.
D’NISHA
Anthony, this is getting out of control.
D’NISHA
I have tried to be patient. I have tried to stay out of the situation between you and Shayla.
But she keeps bringing this drama into our lives.
ANTHONY
I’ll handle it.
D’NISHA
No. I need you to understand something.
D’NISHA
Shayla should not come to this house again.
D’NISHA
I’m giving you a final warning, Anthony. I don’t want her showing up here whenever she feels like it.
This is our home.
ANTHONY
I understand.
D’NISHA
I don’t care what she needs. If she needs to talk to you about Kai,
you can handle that somewhere else. But she cannot keep coming here and disrespecting me.
ANTHONY
You’re right.
D’NISHA
I just want peace.
THE DOOR OPENS
Suddenly—a knock comes from the front door.
D’Nisha and Anthony look toward it. Another knock.
D’NISHA
Who is that?
Anthony walks toward the door. Before he can answer, he opens it.
Shayla is standing outside.
ANTHONY
Shayla?
D’Nisha freezes. Shayla walks inside.
D’NISHA
Are you serious?
SHAYLA
I came to talk to Anthony.
D’NISHA
You just don’t listen, do you?
ANTHONY
D’Nisha—
D’NISHA
No, Anthony. I just told you that she shouldn’t come back here,
and now she’s standing in our living room.
SHAYLA
I didn’t come here to argue.
D’NISHA
Then why are you here?
SHAYLA
I came here to get money from Anthony for Kai’s party.
D’NISHA
Money?
SHAYLA
Yes. Kai needs things for his party.
D’NISHA
You don’t care about your own child. You only think about yourself!
SHAYLA
You don’t know what I’m dealing with.
D’NISHA
I know enough.
SHAYLA
You always think you’re better than me.
D’NISHA
That’s not what this is about.
D’NISHA
This is about boundaries. You can’t keep coming into our lives whenever you need something.
SHAYLA
Anthony knows what I need.
ANTHONY
Shayla, if this is
