Brooke Is Still Missing — Sharra Refuses to Wait
1. Brooke Finally Answers Sharra
Larry had searched everywhere, but Brooke was still nowhere to be found. Her phone kept going unanswered, and every passing minute made him more anxious.
Meanwhile, Sharra was desperately trying to reach her daughter. After calling again and again, Brooke finally answered.
“Brooke! Where are you?” Sharra immediately asked.
“I’m okay, Mom.”
“Okay isn’t enough! Tell me where you are. Give me your location.”
But Brooke refused to reveal where she was. She wouldn’t provide an address, explain who she was with, or give Sharra any clue about her location.
2. Brooke Hangs Up, Leaving Sharra Furious
Sharra desperately tried to reason with her daughter.
“Your father and I are worried sick. We have no idea where you are. At least give me an address so I know you’re safe.”
Brooke still wouldn’t tell her.
Then suddenly—
Click.
The call ended.
Sharra stared at her phone in disbelief. Her worry quickly turned into anger, but underneath that anger was a mother’s fear.
“She actually hung up on me?”
Sharra couldn’t stop thinking about her daughter. Where was Brooke? Who was she with? Why was she refusing to tell anyone where she was?
3. Sharra Rushes to Larry’s House
Sharra couldn’t sit at home and wait any longer. She grabbed her things and headed straight to Larry’s house.
When she arrived, Larry immediately noticed the worry on her face.
“What happened?” he asked.
“I spoke to Brooke,” Sharra replied.
Larry immediately asked, “Where is she?”
Sharra shook her head.
“That’s the problem. She wouldn’t tell me. I asked where she was, asked for her location, and asked who she was with. She told me absolutely nothing.”
Her voice began to shake.
“She only kept saying that she’s okay. How am I supposed to believe that when I don’t even know where my daughter is?”
4. Larry Warns Against Calling the Police
Larry tried to calm Sharra, but he had another concern.
“At least you spoke to her. That’s something.”
Sharra looked at him.
“Something? Larry, she’s my daughter. I need to know where she is!”
Larry understood her frustration, but he was worried that immediately involving the police could make the situation much bigger.
“If this reaches the police, the news could spread through the family. Our relatives and sisters could start asking questions, and before we even know what happened, our entire family could be dragged into it.”
Sharra shook her head.
“I don’t care what people say. I want my daughter.”
Larry quietly replied, “And I want my daughter too.”
5. Sharra Refuses to Give Up
Larry asked Sharra to give Brooke a little more time.
“You’ve spoken to her. We know she’s alive and answering at least one person. Maybe she’ll calm down and call again. Maybe she’ll finally tell us where she is.”
Sharra remained silent. She understood his reasoning, but her mother’s heart refused to accept the waiting.
“I don’t know how long I can wait,” she finally whispered.
Larry nodded.
“Let’s give her a little more time. You spoke to her. She’s okay. Hopefully she’ll realize that we just want her home.”
Sharra looked at him and quietly replied, “I hope you’re right.”
But deep inside, she knew she wouldn’t be able to sit still for long. She wanted her daughter home—no matter what it took.
Meanwhile, miles away, Brooke was still secretly staying at Cameron’s house. She had no idea that Sharra had just gone to Larry’s house.
She didn’t know that Larry was considering involving the police. And she certainly didn’t know that every unanswered call was making her family more desperate.
Her phone remained in her hand.
Another notification appeared.
Brooke stared at the screen.
For a moment, she thought about calling her mother back.
But then she locked the phone.
She still wasn’t ready to reveal where she was. And with every passing minute, the secret became harder to keep.
