When Shayla Checks D’Nisha for Bringing Anthony Into It
The tension between Shayla and D’Nisha grows even stronger when Shayla finds out that D’Nisha spoke to Anthony about their private conversation. Shayla’s biggest issue is that something discussed between the two of them was taken directly to Anthony.
Shayla:
“I just want to understand why you felt the need to tell Anthony about our conversation?”
D’Nisha:
“My intention wasn’t to create a problem. I just wanted to understand the situation.”
Shayla:
“But that’s exactly the problem. If you had an issue with something I said, you could have come directly to me. You didn’t need to involve Anthony.”
D’Nisha:
“I felt like I needed some clarification. I didn’t understand your intentions.”
Shayla:
“Then you could have asked me. We had a conversation between us, and I expected that conversation to stay between us.”
D’Nisha:
“I wasn’t trying to expose your private business. I was just trying to make my position clear.”
Shayla:
“But from my perspective, that’s exactly what happened. You took a private conversation and brought Anthony into it.”
D’Nisha:
“Anthony was already part of the situation.”
Shayla:
“Anthony is the father of my child. I’ve known him for years. If I need to talk to him about something involving me, I can do that myself.”
D’Nisha:
“Okay, but I still had questions.”
Shayla:
“And you could have asked me those questions. In my opinion, that would have been the professional way to handle it.”
Things Get More Serious
At this point, the conversation becomes much more serious. Shayla is no longer talking only about Anthony. She is also making it clear that she expects professional boundaries and privacy in their workplace.
Shayla:
“This is a professional environment. We work together every day. We should be able to have private conversations without wondering if everything we say is going to be discussed somewhere else.”
D’Nisha:
“I wasn’t repeating everything.”
Shayla:
“But you shared enough for it to become an issue. That’s what I’m trying to point out.”
D’Nisha:
“So what exactly do you want me to do?”
Shayla:
“If you have a problem with me, talk to me. If you don’t understand something I said, ask me. Don’t take a private conversation and turn it into unnecessary drama.”
D’Nisha:
“I understand what you’re saying.”
Shayla:
“Good. Because we still have to work together. I don’t want our personal disagreements to make the workplace uncomfortable.”
D’Nisha:
“I never intended for things to become this serious.”
Shayla:
“Then we need to make the boundaries clear now.”
The Unexpected Twist
But this is where the situation could become even more interesting.
D’Nisha stays quiet for a few seconds. It looks like she might finally accept Shayla’s point, but her expression suggests that there is still something she hasn’t said.
Shayla:
“What? Is there something else you want to say?”
D’Nisha:
“Yes. But I don’t think you’re going to want to hear it.”
Shayla:
“After everything that has happened, just say it.”
D’Nisha:
“Anthony didn’t only ask me about our conversation.”
Shayla’s expression immediately changes.
Shayla:
“Then what else did he ask you?”
D’Nisha remains silent for a moment. Shayla watches her closely, trying to figure out exactly what Anthony may have heard.
D’Nisha:
“I want to tell you everything, but if I tell you right now, this situation could become even more complicated.”
Shayla:
“D’Nisha, you already started this conversation. So finish what you started.”
D’Nisha:
“Okay. But first, you have to promise me that you won’t react before hearing the whole story.”
Shayla:
“I can’t promise that. Just tell me.”
D’Nisha looks down at her phone, then looks back at Shayla.
And at that exact moment, it feels like the real twist is finally about to come out.
Because now the question is no longer just why D’Nisha told Anthony about Shayla.
The bigger question is what Anthony actually asked D’Nisha—and what he may already know that Shayla has no idea about.
D’Nisha looks like she is finally ready to reveal the truth.
But before she says another word, the conversation takes an unexpected turn.
