Scene 1 — Larry’s House — Day

Brooke nervously brings Larry a college admission form, hoping for his support.

BROOKE: I want to enroll in college. I really want to continue my education.

LARRY: No, Brooke. I’m not paying for it.

BROOKE: But why? I thought you would support me.

LARRY: I asked you many times to go to college. You never listened to me. You had your chance.

BROOKE: People can change, Larry. I’m trying to change.

LARRY: I already bought you a car. Now you need to pay the rent for it yourself.

BROOKE: Larry, I don’t have a job.

LARRY: Then get one. If you want the car, pay the rent. If you want college, find a way to pay for it.

Brooke silently picks up her papers and walks away.

Scene 2 — Brooke’s Bedroom — Night

Brooke stares at the admission form through tears. Then her sadness shifts to resolve.

BROOKE: I’ll figure it out.

She picks up her phone and starts searching for jobs.

Scene 3 — Cleaning Job — Morning

Brooke arrives at her new workplace in simple work clothes, carrying cleaning supplies. Uncomfortable but determined, she mops floors, wipes tables, and cleans windows — tired, but pushing through because she needs the money.

Scene 4 — Workplace — Later

Exhausted and on her knees scrubbing the floor, Brooke is spotted by Hope and Faith, who burst out laughing.

HOPE: Wait… Brooke? I can’t believe this.

FAITH: Brooke is actually cleaning?

BROOKE: Yes. I’m working.

HOPE: Honestly, Brooke, this job suits you.

FAITH: It really does.

BROOKE: Can you please stop?

HOPE: Why? We’re just telling you the truth. You used to act like you were better than everyone else. And now look at you.

BROOKE: I said stop.

FAITH: You should be proud. You finally found something you’re good at.

HOPE: Exactly. Cleaning seems perfect for you.

Brooke looks away, tears falling despite her efforts to hide them.

Scene 5 — Empty Hallway — Moments Later

Alone at last, Brooke breaks down, the cleaning cloth slipping from her hands.

BROOKE: Why is everyone treating me like this?

She remembers Larry’s words: “You need to take responsibility for yourself.” Her sadness slowly turns into determination.

BROOKE: I may have to start from the bottom… but I’m not going to stay here forever.

She picks up the bucket and returns to work.

Scene 6 — Later That Day

Eyes still red, Brooke keeps cleaning table after table, refusing to give up. The camera drifts to the college admission form tucked in her bag. She touches it gently, and a determined smile appears.

BROOKE: I’m still going to college. And one day, I’ll prove everyone wrong.

She picks up her supplies and keeps working. For the first time, she is fighting for herself.
