Anthony Gets Kicked Out by Shayla

After choosing D’Nisha and gifting her a ring, Anthony faces Shayla’s anger over his absence from his child’s life.

When Tension Finally Boils Over

The tension between Anthony and Shayla had been building for a long time, but neither of them expected things to reach such a breaking point. Shayla was tired of watching Anthony put his relationship with D’Nisha ahead of his responsibilities as a father. What hurt her most was not just the ring he had given D’Nisha, but the feeling that his own child was being forgotten.

It started when Shayla made arrangements for D’Nisha to pick up Kai. Shayla had her reasons for wanting D’Nisha to handle the situation. She wanted to avoid an uncomfortable confrontation, but when D’Nisha arrived, the situation quickly changed.

D’Nisha Arrives to Pick Up Kai

D’Nisha walked toward the door, expecting to pick up Kai and leave without any drama.

D’Nisha: “Hey, Shayla. I’m here to get Kai.”

Shayla looked at her suspiciously before stepping into her path.

Shayla: “Hold on. You’re not just going to walk in here and take Kai like everything is perfectly fine.”
D’Nisha: “What are you talking about? You knew I was coming. You were the one who agreed to this.”
Shayla: “I know what I agreed to. But that doesn’t mean you get to come into my house and act like you have everything figured out.”

D’Nisha tried to remain calm. She did not understand why Shayla was making things difficult when the arrangement had already been discussed.

D’Nisha: “I’m not here to argue with you. I’m here for Kai.”
Shayla: “And I’m telling you to wait! You need to understand that this is my child, and I’m not going to let anyone treat this situation like a game.”

The atmosphere became uncomfortable. D’Nisha wanted to take Kai and leave, but Shayla refused to let the visit proceed as expected. Her frustration with Anthony’s choices was beginning to affect everyone around her.

Anthony Shows Up at Shayla’s House

Anthony had no idea that another confrontation was about to unfold. When he eventually arrived, he expected to speak with Shayla and see his child. Instead, he walked straight into an argument that had been waiting to happen.

Shayla: “What are you doing here?”
Anthony: “I came to see Kai. Is that a problem now?”

Shayla let out a bitter laugh.

Shayla: “Oh, now you want to see your child? Now you suddenly remember that you have responsibilities?”
Anthony: “Shayla, I’m not doing this with you today. I came here to see my child, not to argue.”

But Shayla had reached her limit.

Shayla: “Then maybe you should have thought about that before you started making all these decisions! You have time to buy D’Nisha a ring. You have time to make grand gestures and act like she is the most important person in your life. But when it comes to your own child, suddenly you can’t show up!”
Anthony: “That’s not fair. You don’t know everything that’s going on.”
Shayla: “Then explain it to me! Because from where I’m standing, it looks like you’re so caught up in that girl that you’ve forgotten about your own family.”

Anthony’s face tightened as he tried to defend himself.

Anthony: “D’Nisha has nothing to do with my relationship with Kai. Stop bringing her into everything.”
Shayla: “Nothing to do with it? You gave that woman a ring, Anthony! You’re out here making promises and planning your future with her while your child is left waiting for you to act like a father.”

Shayla Calls Out His Excuses

Anthony tried to interrupt, but Shayla refused to let him change the subject.

Shayla: “You keep saying you care about Kai, but where is that care when it matters? Where are you when your child needs you? You cannot just show up whenever you feel like it and expect everyone to welcome you with open arms!”
Anthony: “I have been trying to handle things my own way.”
Shayla: “Well, your way is not working! You are so busy getting caught up in D’Nisha’s world that you cannot even see what you’re doing to the people who actually need you.”

Anthony stepped forward, hoping to calm her down.

Anthony: “Shayla, listen to me. I’m not here to fight. Let me come inside, and we can talk about this.”
Shayla: “No! You are not coming into my house to stand there and make excuses.”
Anthony: “Are you serious right now?”
Shayla: “Absolutely! I am tired of hearing the same explanations over and over again. You want everybody to understand your choices, but you never stop to think about how those choices affect your child.”

Anthony stared at her, struggling to find the right words.

Anthony: “I’m still Kai’s father. You cannot just shut me out because you’re angry with me.”
Shayla: “And you cannot use being Kai’s father as an excuse to ignore your responsibilities! Being a father means showing up. It means being consistent. It means proving that your child matters through your actions, not just your words.”

Anthony Is Pushed Out of the House

For a moment, neither of them spoke. Shayla’s anger was unmistakable, and Anthony could see that this was not another argument he could simply brush aside. But when Anthony tried once more to enter the house, Shayla finally snapped.

Shayla: “Get out of my house, Anthony! I have had enough!”

Anthony stumbled backward, caught off guard by her reaction.

Anthony: “Shayla! What is wrong with you?”
Shayla: “What is wrong with me? You come here expecting everything to be normal after everything you’ve done? You think you can give D’Nisha a ring, spend all your time chasing after her, neglect your child, and then walk into my house like nothing happened?”
Anthony: “That is not what I’m doing!”
Shayla: “Then stop acting like it! Get out, and do not come back here expecting me to pretend that everything is fine!”

She pushed him back toward the outside of the doorway and refused to let him pass.

Anthony: “You’re really throwing me out?”
Shayla: “Yes, I am! Because I am done watching you make one bad decision after another while everybody else is expected to deal with the consequences.”

Shayla pointed toward the front steps.

Shayla: “Leave! If you want to be in Kai’s life, then start acting like it. Stop making excuses, stop putting your relationship ahead of your responsibilities, and show your child that you actually care!”

With that, Shayla forced Anthony outside and shut the door behind him.

A Moment of Realization

Anthony stood outside, stunned and furious. He had come expecting to see his child, but instead he had been forced to confront the damage his choices had caused. He pulled out his phone and stared at the screen. Calling D’Nisha might give him someone to talk to, but it would not solve the problem waiting for him at Shayla’s house.

Inside, Shayla remained near the door, trying to control her emotions. Beneath her anger was a deeper disappointment. She did not want Kai to grow up feeling neglected, and she was no longer willing to stay silent while Anthony continued making promises without following through.

Shayla had made her position clear: expensive gifts, romantic promises, and excuses could not replace responsible parenting.

The question now was whether Anthony would finally recognize what mattered most — or continue chasing the relationship he wanted while risking the relationship he could never afford to neglect: the one with his own child.
