Mariah sits nervously on the couch, struggling to find the courage to speak. Isaiah notices her worried expression and moves closer.
MARIAH:
“Isaiah, there’s something important I need to tell you. I’ve been keeping this inside, and I can’t hide it anymore.”
ISAIAH:
“What’s going on, Mariah? You’re making me nervous. Please, just tell me.”
Mariah takes a deep breath and looks into his eyes.
MARIAH:
“Isaiah, I’m pregnant.”

Isaiah turns around and looks startled. Mariah becomes nervous.

“Don’t change the subject! Why are you leaving the hospital with her?”

ISAIAH:
