Amber Is Forced to Apologize to D’Nisha
The room was already tense when Wayne walked in, but he had no idea that within the next few minutes, Amber would be standing face-to-face with D’Nisha, forced to do something she never thought she would do.
Amber was sitting on the couch, still angry about everything that had happened between her, Wayne, and D’Nisha. She had been complaining for several minutes when Wayne suddenly interrupted her.
Wayne: “Amber, enough.”
Amber: “Enough? Wayne, did you even hear what she said to me?”
Wayne: “I heard everything. And that’s exactly why I need you to apologize to D’Nisha.”
Amber immediately shook her head. “Absolutely not.”
Wayne: “You heard me. Apologize.”
Amber stood up.
Amber: “No, Wayne. I’m not apologizing to her. She was the one who started all this. She said some really disrespectful things about me, and you expect me to just say sorry?”
D’Nisha remained quiet nearby, watching the argument unfold.
Wayne: “Amber, I know what she said. And I’m not saying she was right. But you made things worse when you went after her.”
Amber: “So now I’m the bad guy?”
Wayne: “I didn’t say that. I’m saying you’re going to take responsibility for your part.”
Amber: “You really think you’re going to make me apologize?”
Wayne: “Yes.”
Amber’s expression changed.
Amber: “For what?”
Wayne: “For what you said to D’Nisha. You went too far.”
Amber: “No. I’m not doing it.”
For a moment, nobody said anything.
Wayne: “Amber, don’t make me ask you again.”
Amber: “Wayne, I’m not scared of you.”
Wayne: “I didn’t say you should be scared of me. But I’m telling you right now, I’m not going to sit here and watch you disrespect somebody after everything that’s already happened.”
Amber: “You always take her side.”
Wayne: “This isn’t about taking sides. It’s about doing what’s right.”
Amber: “You don’t understand what she did to me!”
Wayne: “I understand more than you think. But that doesn’t give you permission to say whatever you want and then refuse to admit when you’re wrong.”
D’Nisha finally spoke.
D’Nisha: “Wayne, forget it. If she doesn’t want to apologize, she doesn’t have to.”
Wayne: “No. That’s not happening.”
Amber: “Why do you care so much?”
Wayne: “Because I told you to fix this. And I’m not changing my mind.”
Amber sat back down, still refusing.
Amber: “I said no.”
Wayne: “Okay.”
Amber looked surprised.
Amber: “Okay?”
Wayne: “Yes. But understand something. If you keep pushing this, you’re going to make this situation much worse for yourself.”
Amber didn’t respond. She thought Wayne would eventually give up.
But he didn’t.
A few seconds later, Wayne looked directly at her.
Wayne: “You’re going to apologize to D’Nisha.”
Amber: “Wayne…”
Wayne: “No. Listen to me.”
“You don’t have to like her. You don’t have to agree with her. But you’re going to apologize for the wrong things you said.”
Wayne: “And if you refuse, then you and I are going to have a completely different conversation.”
Amber: “What does that mean?”
Wayne: “It means I’m done arguing about it.”
The confidence in Amber’s face slowly disappeared. She realized Wayne wasn’t joking anymore.
She looked toward D’Nisha. D’Nisha didn’t say anything. She simply waited.
Amber took a deep breath.
For several seconds, she remained silent.
Then she finally stood up.
Amber: “Fine.”
Wayne nodded.
Amber walked toward D’Nisha, still looking uncomfortable.
Amber: “I don’t like doing this.”
D’Nisha: “You don’t have to like it.”
Amber looked at Wayne. He gave her a serious look.
Amber turned back to D’Nisha.
Amber: “I’m sorry for what I said to you.”
D’Nisha: “Thank you.”
Amber wasn’t finished.
Amber: “I was angry, and I let my emotions get the best of me. Some of the things I said were wrong, and I shouldn’t have said them.”
D’Nisha: “I appreciate you saying that.”
Amber: “I still don’t agree with everything that happened. But I shouldn’t have taken it that far.”
Wayne finally relaxed.
Wayne: “That wasn’t so hard, was it?”
Amber: “Don’t push it.”
Wayne: “I knew you could do it.”
Amber: “You really had to threaten me just to make me apologize?”
Wayne: “I warned you. There’s a difference.”
D’Nisha couldn’t help but smile slightly. For the first time that day, the tension in the room began to disappear.
But just when everyone thought the argument was over, Amber looked at Wayne and said,
Amber: “Now that I apologized, can we talk about what D’Nisha said to me?”
Wayne’s smile disappeared.
D’Nisha looked nervous.
Amber crossed her arms again.
“I apologized. Now it’s her turn to explain herself.”
Wayne looked from Amber to D’Nisha.
Suddenly, the room became quiet again.
Because Amber had finally apologized…
but the real argument might have only just begun.
