SCENE 1 — ANTHONY’S HOUSE — LATE AFTERNOON
The house is quiet. D’Nisha is sitting on the couch, scrolling through her phone when suddenly there is a knock at the door.
D’Nisha looks up with a confused expression and walks toward the entrance. When she opens the door, she finds Amber standing outside.
D’NISHA
“Amber? What are you doing here?”
Amber forces a concerned smile and slowly steps inside.
AMBER
“I came because I need to talk to you. And honestly, D’Nisha, you deserve to know the truth about Anthony.”
D’Nisha folds her arms and looks suspicious.
D’NISHA
“What truth?”
Amber looks around before lowering her voice.
AMBER
“Anthony isn’t the man you think he is.”
D’Nisha stares at her.
SCENE 2 — AMBER PLANTS THE DOUBT
Amber sits beside D’Nisha. Her voice becomes softer, making it seem as if she is genuinely worried about her.
AMBER
“I was Anthony’s wife. I know him better than almost anyone. Anthony has always had a problem with women. He flirts with them, gets close to them, and then moves on.”
D’Nisha’s expression becomes serious.
D’NISHA
“Why are you telling me this now?”
AMBER
“Because I don’t want you to make the same mistake I made.”
Amber pauses before continuing.
AMBER
“Sometimes Anthony gets involved with a woman just to spend one night with her. Then, when he gets what he wants, he moves on.”
D’Nisha immediately becomes uncomfortable.
D’NISHA
“Anthony isn’t like that with me.”
Amber looks directly into her eyes.
AMBER
“That’s what every woman thinks at first.”
D’Nisha looks away, clearly affected by Amber’s words.
AMBER
“Look at Shayla. Anthony got close to her, had a baby with her, and eventually walked away. What makes you think you’ll be different?”
D’Nisha becomes defensive.
D’NISHA
“Anthony loves me.”
AMBER
“I thought Anthony loved me too.”
Those words hit D’Nisha hard.
Amber reaches for her hand.
AMBER
“I’m telling you this because I don’t want you to get hurt. If I were you, I would leave Anthony as soon as possible.”
D’Nisha pulls her hand away.
D’NISHA
“And what exactly are you saying he’ll do?”
Amber hesitates before delivering the statement that pushes D’Nisha over the edge.
AMBER
“He could get you pregnant and leave you too. Just like Shayla.”
D’Nisha’s eyes widen.
D’NISHA
“Amber!”
AMBER
“I’m serious. Anthony has a pattern, D’Nisha. You need to protect yourself before it’s too late.”
SCENE 3 — ANTHONY HEARS EVERYTHING
Suddenly, footsteps echo through the hallway.
Neither woman notices Anthony standing nearby. He has heard every word.
His expression turns angry.
ANTHONY
“Amber!”
Both women turn around.
Anthony walks toward them.
ANTHONY
“What are you doing here?”
AMBER
“I was just talking to D’Nisha.”
ANTHONY
“No. You were filling her head with lies.”
Amber raises her eyebrows.
AMBER
“Lies?”
ANTHONY
“You know exactly what you’re doing.”
D’Nisha steps between them.
D’NISHA
“Anthony, let her speak.”
Anthony looks at D’Nisha, trying to remain calm.
ANTHONY
“D’Nisha, please don’t believe everything Amber is telling you.”
Amber crosses her arms.
AMBER
“I’m only telling her what happened to me.”
ANTHONY
“Amber, why are you misleading D’Nisha?”
AMBER
“Because she deserves to know who you really are.”
Anthony takes a deep breath.
ANTHONY
“I would never do what you’re accusing me of doing to D’Nisha. If I left you, Amber, it wasn’t because I wanted to run around with every woman. I left because of what happened between us and because Dave became part of the situation.”
SCENE 4 — D’NISHA QUESTIONS ANTHONY
D’Nisha suddenly steps forward. Her voice is calm, but the anger in her eyes is obvious.
D’NISHA
“Then answer one question.”
ANTHONY
“Ask me.”
D’NISHA
“If you didn’t leave Amber because you wanted another woman, then why did you leave Shayla?”
Anthony becomes silent.
ANTHONY
“D’Nisha, it wasn’t that simple.”
D’NISHA
“Then explain it!”
Anthony steps closer.
ANTHONY
“My relationship with Shayla was complicated. Things happened between us that eventually made the relationship impossible.”
D’Nisha shakes her head.
D’NISHA
“That’s not an answer.”
ANTHONY
“I love you.”
D’Nisha’s eyes fill with emotion.
D’NISHA
“You said you loved other women too. If you left Shayla, what makes me think you won’t leave me for someone else?”
ANTHONY
“Because you are different.”
D’NISHA
“That’s what you always say!”
SCENE 5 — THE ARGUMENT EXPLODES
D’Nisha grabs her purse from the table.
Anthony immediately realizes that she is about to leave.
ANTHONY
“D’Nisha, wait.”
She heads toward the door.
D’NISHA
“I need some time.”
Anthony follows her.
ANTHONY
“Please don’t leave like this.”
D’Nisha turns around.
D’NISHA
“How am I supposed to stay when I don’t even know whether I can trust you?”
ANTHONY
“You can trust me.”
D’NISHA
“Then why does everything sound so complicated?”
Anthony reaches for her hand.
ANTHONY
“D’Nisha, please. Listen to me.”
She pulls her hand away.
D’NISHA
“I’ve heard enough.”
She opens the door and walks outside.
Anthony follows her.
ANTHONY
“D’Nisha!”
She keeps walking.
ANTHONY
“Please come back! Let’s talk about this!”
D’Nisha stops for a moment but refuses to turn around.
D’NISHA
“I need to think.”
She walks away.
Anthony stands frozen at the doorway, watching her disappear.
SCENE 6 — AMBER’S SECRET VICTORY
Amber remains inside the house.
She watches Anthony desperately trying to get D’Nisha to come back.
Slowly, a small smile appears on Amber’s face.
ANTHONY
“You did this.”
Amber pretends to be confused.
AMBER
“I only told her the truth.”
ANTHONY
“You came here to destroy my relationship.”
Amber shrugs.
AMBER
“Maybe your relationship wasn’t as strong as you thought.”
Anthony stares at her angrily.
ANTHONY
“Get out.”
Amber picks up her purse.
Before leaving, she looks toward the door where D’Nisha disappeared.
AMBER
“You should have known better than to let me walk away with unfinished business.”
SCENE 7 — D’NISHA DRIVES AWAY
D’Nisha gets into her car and sits behind the steering wheel.
She is overwhelmed by everything she has just heard.
Amber’s words echo in her mind.
“What makes you think you’ll be different?”
Then Anthony’s words return.
“I love you.”
D’Nisha wipes away a tear.
D’NISHA
“I don’t know who to believe anymore.”
She starts the car and drives away.
SCENE 8 — AMBER REVEALS HER REAL MOTIVE
Outside, Amber walks toward her car.
Once she is alone, her concerned expression disappears.
She smiles.
AMBER
“Exactly what I wanted.”
She looks back toward Anthony’s house.
AMBER
“D’Nisha is finally questioning him.”
Amber gets into her car.
Her plan was never really about protecting D’Nisha. She wanted to create doubt between Anthony and D’Nisha, and now she had accomplished exactly that.
AMBER
“Anthony, you should have known better than to let me walk away with unfinished business.”
She starts the engine and drives away.
SCENE 9 — ANTHONY IS LEFT ALONE
Anthony sits alone in his living room.
He picks up his phone and calls D’Nisha.
No answer.
He calls again.
Still nothing.
Anthony lowers the phone and looks toward the empty doorway.
ANTHONY
“D’Nisha, please believe me. I never wanted this.”
The house suddenly feels empty.
Anthony realizes that Amber’s words have created a serious crack in his relationship with D’Nisha.
SCENE 10 — THE FINAL TWIST
Later that night, Amber sits alone inside her car, looking at her phone.
Anthony’s name appears on her screen.
Amber looks at the call and smiles.
She chooses not to answer.
AMBER
“Let him worry.”
She puts the phone down.
A moment later, another message arrives.
Amber reads it, and her smile grows.
AMBER
“Now the real game begins.”
She looks out of the window.
The night is quiet, but the damage has already been done.
Anthony has lost D’Nisha’s trust. D’Nisha has left the house questioning everything about their relationship. And Amber walks away believing that her carefully planned scheme has succeeded.
