SCENE 1 — ANTHONY GIFTS D’NISHA A NEW CAR

INT. ANTHONY’S DRIVEWAY — AFTERNOON

A brand-new car sits in the driveway, shining under the afternoon sun.

D’Nisha walks outside slowly.

She stops.

Her eyes widen.

Anthony stands beside the car with a proud smile.

D’Nisha looks from Anthony to the car.

She cannot believe what she is seeing.

D’NISHA
Wait… is this really for me?

Anthony smiles.

He tosses the keys gently toward her.

D’Nisha catches them.

ANTHONY
Yeah.
It’s yours.

D’Nisha looks down at the keys.

Her expression changes from shock to excitement.

She walks toward the car and runs her hand along the side.

D’NISHA
Anthony, you really bought me a car?

ANTHONY
I told you I was going to do something nice for you.

D’Nisha laughs.

She turns around and gives Anthony an excited look.

D’NISHA
I honestly didn’t expect this.

Anthony nods.

ANTHONY
You deserve something nice.

D’Nisha looks at the car again.

She is clearly overwhelmed.

A few moments later, D’Nisha stands beside the driver’s door while Anthony stands next to her.

They pose for a picture.

Neither of them notices someone watching from a distance.

Amber.

Amber has just arrived.

She stops when she sees Anthony and D’Nisha standing beside the brand-new car.

Her expression immediately changes.

Amber looks at the car.

Then at Anthony.

Then at D’Nisha.

Her eyebrows rise.

AMBER
Oh… so this is what we’re doing now?

Amber quietly pulls out her phone.

She watches them pose.

She takes a picture.

CLICK.

Amber looks at the picture on her phone.

A small smile appears on her face.

Not because she is happy.

Because she already knows exactly who she wants to show it to.

SCENE 2 — AMBER STUDIES THE PICTURE

EXT. ANTHONY’S DRIVEWAY — CONTINUOUS

Amber walks back toward her car.

She looks at the picture again.

Anthony and D’Nisha are standing proudly beside the new vehicle.

Amber shakes her head.

AMBER
Anthony really bought D’Nisha a whole car?

She zooms in on the picture.

Her eyes narrow.

AMBER
Oh, Shayla is definitely going to want to see this.

Amber gets into her car.

She places her phone on the passenger seat.

Before starting the engine, she looks at the picture one more time.

She knows this picture is going to cause a reaction.

Amber starts the car.

SCENE 3 — SHAYLA HAS NO IDEA WHAT’S COMING

INT. SHAYLA’S HOUSE — LATE AFTERNOON

Shayla is sitting comfortably in her living room.

The television is playing quietly in the background.

She scrolls through her phone.

Everything seems peaceful.

Then she hears a knock at the door.
