1. Amber’s Growing Jealousy

Ever since Dave hired a new assistant, Mehreen, for his office, Amber’s peace of mind during the day and sleep at night had completely vanished.

Mehreen always appeared confident, polished, and carefully dressed whenever she came to the office or appeared in front of Dave. Amber couldn’t hide the jealousy building inside her.

The same thought kept revolving in Amber’s mind again and again: “How can this girl show up in front of my husband like this?”

The problem wasn’t only Mehreen’s appearance. Dave’s behavior was changing too. He began praising Mehreen’s abilities and personality during casual conversations. His attention increasingly seemed focused on his assistant.

Amber feared that if Mehreen remained in Dave’s life, Dave might eventually forget about her completely. She began thinking of ways to remove Mehreen from their lives.

One day, Dave called Mehreen to his home office to organize some urgent files. After working for a while, Mehreen went upstairs carrying the documents.

Her suspicion proved correct. Once Mehreen realized she was alone, she opened the dressing-table drawer and began placing Amber’s valuable gold jewelry into her handbag.

Greed was clearly visible in Mehreen’s expression. She had no idea that someone was watching her every move.

3. Amber Sets the Trap

Amber’s heart was beating quickly, but instead of shouting, she decided to stay calm. This was exactly the opportunity she had been waiting for.

She quietly ran downstairs, where Dave was sitting in the lounge working on his laptop.

Dave immediately became concerned by Amber’s anxious expression. Without asking too many questions, he followed her upstairs.

Amber slowly opened the bedroom door. What Dave saw left him completely stunned.

Mehreen was holding Amber’s gold bangle in her hands, preparing to place it inside her handbag.

The moment Mehreen saw Dave and Amber standing at the doorway, the bangle slipped from her hand onto the carpet. The color drained from her face.

4. Mehreen Is Exposed

Relief and satisfaction washed over Amber. She finally had the evidence she needed to expose Mehreen.

Dave’s expression hardened with anger and disappointment.

Mehreen looked at Dave for a moment and then turned her eyes toward Amber. Surprisingly, the fear on her face disappeared.

Instead, a strange and cold smile appeared. She calmly adjusted her clothes, zipped her bag, and walked toward Amber.

5. Mehreen’s Shocking Final Secret

Mehreen leaned close to Amber and spoke quietly enough that only Amber could hear her.

Mehreen walked out of the room with a mysterious smile.

The ground seemed to disappear beneath Amber’s feet. Her confidence vanished instantly.

She looked toward Dave, who was standing silently beside the window. There was no visible shock or sadness on his face. Only an unsettling silence.
