Dave’s minimalist, modern office overlooked the city lights, which glowed softly through the glass walls. It was eight in the evening, and only two people remained—Dave and his personal assistant, Maya.

Maya had been working with Dave for two years, winning his respect and affection with her hard work, honesty, and punctuality. Dave was a successful and well-regarded businessman, but beneath his professional exterior lay a warm and caring heart.

Noticing Maya packing her things late into the evening, Dave stepped out of his cabin. He observed that along with exhaustion, a subtle anxiety was etched across her face.

Maya took a deep breath and began hesitantly. She explained that her old car constantly broke down, leaving her stranded, late for work, and worried about getting home safely. She desperately needed a reliable car but could not afford a new one.

Maya extended her hand toward the keys, her fingers trembling with excitement. Neither she nor Dave noticed the pair of eyes watching them from the shadows of the garage.
