THE RING, THE GUN, AND THE SECRET
ANTHONY HAD JUST PLACED A DIAMOND RING ON DINISHA’S FINGER… WHEN A GUN WAS SUDDENLY POINTED AT HIS HEART. BUT THE MAN HOLDING IT WASN’T A STRANGER.
SCENE 1 — THE NIGHT EVERYTHING CHANGED
The rain poured heavily outside Anthony’s apartment. Inside, everything was quiet.
Almost too quiet.
ANTHONY “You’re still angry with me.”
DINISHA “What do you think?”
ANTHONY “Because of Amber?”
DINISHA “Yes. You were supposed to give her ten percent. But you gave her thirty.”
ANTHONY “I could spend years trying to save twenty percent. Or I could give it away and finally have peace.”
SCENE 2 — THE PROMISE
Anthony slowly pulled a small velvet box from his jacket.
DINISHA “Anthony…”
He opened the box.
A diamond ring sparkled beneath the light.
ANTHONY “Money isn’t important to me anymore. Peace is important. And the only peace I find… is with you.”
Anthony gently slipped the ring onto Dinisha’s finger.
SCENE 3 — THE SHADOW OUTSIDE
Neither of them noticed the black car parked across the street.
Inside it, someone was watching them.
Someone who had been waiting for this exact moment.
BANG!
DINISHA “What was that?”
The front door suddenly flew open.
A man stepped inside. His hand held a gun.
DINISHA “No…”
X-BOYFRIEND “Long time no see.”
SCENE 4 — THE HIDDEN PAST
X-BOYFRIEND “Ask her what happened three years ago.”
Anthony slowly turned toward Dinisha.
ANTHONY “What happened three years ago?”
Dinisha couldn’t speak.
X-BOYFRIEND “She wasn’t supposed to meet you that night.”
“You have no idea why I really came here tonight.”
Dinisha’s face suddenly went pale.
SCENE 5 — THE DOOR
X-BOYFRIEND “Ask her who’s inside that room.”
Anthony slowly turned toward the hallway.
ANTHONY “Dinisha…”
DINISHA “Don’t open that door.”
ANTHONY “Why?”
DINISHA “Because if you open it… everything will change.”
Anthony reached for the bedroom door.
Then a voice came from inside.

A voice Dinisha never expected Anthony to hear.
VOICE FROM INSIDE “Anthony…”
Anthony froze.
Dinisha covered her mouth.
X-BOYFRIEND “Now you’re finally going to learn the truth.”
The bedroom door slowly began to open…
SCENE 6 — THE SHOT
Anthony turned toward Dinisha one last time.
ANTHONY “Who is in there?”
Dinisha’s eyes filled with tears.
DINISHA “I’m sorry.”
The door opened another inch.
Someone was standing behind it.
And just before Anthony could see who it was—

THE LIGHTS WENT OUT.
